Betacoin which is curiously is not included in your list.

I guess you are not yet familiar with it!
This crypto is based on the Bitcoin although it is much better in many aspects.

Since you have missed Betacoin (BET) i was unable to vote.
Although please be informed that i invested and switched all my miners to Betacoin.
This is because it has great potential and the developer team are working hard
for many this to come. Also it is purely decentrallized, is not premined  and it's
2.5x faster than Bitcoin without compromising the security. For me it's the only
alternative of bitcoin that's worth.

Can somebody tell me why some people invest in Dogecoin?
The community is great but did you see any potential as a real coin?
An actual reason to invest in Dogecoin is that it isn't serious. Every other coin out there claims to be serious in that it is better than all other FIAT currencies, whereas Dogecoin just claims to be a fun meme. Who knows how long it will last?

I've invested in a few of them... not counting the ones that I've mined, only the ones that I've actually purchased BTC with cash in order to pay for.

I typically only invest in coins that are hard for me to mine... like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Quark.  I just mine scrypt coins like DOGE, LOT, and MOON.

The only coin that I've put a lot of money (so far) is BTC.  I bought a couple LTC when it was at $3, so I have a little bit of value there.  Even then, I'm still a very small time investor.  I don't typically have more than $50 a month to invest, and now that I'm spreading out the value between various coins, it doesn't add up to much.  I also put a small amount into mining equipment.
