20% in one day? Who on earth would bet on something like this happening?

At Bitstamp:

on 2013-12-06 it dropped from 1020 to 814 (20%),
on 2014-03-27 it dropped from 581 to 475 (19%).

These were only open-to-close changes.  There were several days when it dropped more than 20% in less than 24h, but in most of those days the price recovered partially by the end of the day.

thanks for the given data

'All that glitters is not gold'
Price goes down to 475.

Everyone weeping except falllling.

if "everyone" have listened to me to cut losses at $620 or $5xx then they would have no need to weep

This mean you don't have any Bitcoin in your wallet ?

Price seems to go down on Sunday so I can see $450 but then I expect it will work its way back up over the week.  It's called a trading range.  I'm a little disappointed its not closer to 600 in the aftermath of the US Marshall Service auction, but oh well...

Good Luck!

Well we were definitely going in that direction after the auction! The price went back down at about $550 though. It seems people weren't willing to buy more coins so we went back down again. Sadly, this shows that we can't rely on a single "big event" to bring us up again, anymore!

Do you think the auction winner paid less than today's price?

I thought $480 was the lowest, but I did not know the price seems to go down on Sunday. Maybe it will go down to $450.

Not today, but maybe within a few days. Total bottom - realistic 200-250 USD or in absolutely bearish case - 100 USD Wink But I bet the first variant Smiley

I'd be highly surprised if we go below $350. That would be painful enough in my books, but we've been there before for a short visit. I guess people do get quite fearful when we're approaching those realms again!

It's completely obvious we won't go down to 400! We'll remain at this level for the time being. This is the new all-time level, it's decided!

Somebody stupid like fallling, that's what he did and now he's talking or at least he's trying to talk the price down, so he can buy as much BTC with the money he got from picking up cans at the side of the road.

The only scammer is fallling he promised 3xx$ and 0$ coins last time we were at 450$, lot of people sold to buy cheaper and we went back to 520$, those people bought at 520$ and we went down again. Ask fallling to pay back your losses.

I did nothing but tell people to hodl, everybody who listened and now has less BTC can ask for compensation. (wich is impossible BTW)

We will go up again today, or at least tomorrow! This is just a lone hiccup in an otherwise fruitful market!

Ha, no! Hell no! That's much too low to drop for a day. Even in these uncertain times, dropping to $400 would be insane. There's too much resistance and people willing to buy coins that cheap. The only thing that could go to $400 is a cascading liquidation of margined longs on Finex. But even that's not very probable!

Trust me!
I'm quite certain we won't go down to $400 today. I think, we may go back to $400 at some point in time, but even that is quite uncertain in my books. Today would be a very very big surprise!
