Also I don't trust clam coin because it requires our private keys.

But if someone creates clam like coin but different claim method like "signing the address".

I can sign and the clam like coin verify this signature and give me my coins, this is better for security...

If you be sure the address you are digging CLAMS on doesn't have any coins anyways and you never use it again then you have 0 security risk.

Practicing good security is a must.

I voted for no.
Most of the clams were distributed to large exchanges. And if those exchanges decide to dig up clams and dump them; there'll be huge price drop.

Also I don't trust clam coin because it requires our private keys.

how do clams exist if all people do is dig for them then trade for btc?

That isn't all you can do with them.

You can stake them so that CLAMS mine CLAMS or play on a number of different sites like Just-dice, ForutuneJack or Bitdice.me.

I have an old BTC address from KnCMiner wallet which is discontinued, I believe they use the same software as the "Bitcoin Wallet" by a guy named Schildbach or something.

Anyone knows how to get the private key?

I have a file named bitcoin-wallet-keys-yyyy-mm-dd, when I open it with notepad it gives me a long string of like 100-150 characters starting with an U and it also has some +, / and = symbols in it, tried to import in different wallets but so far nothing worked.

Thanks!

Long shot, try here:

"Your wallet contains your private keys and various transaction related metadata. It is stored in app-private
storage:

   Mainnet: /data/data/de.schildbach.wallet/files/wallet-protobuf (MODE_PRIVATE)
"

from:
http://bitcoin-wallet.googlecode.com/git/wallet/README

Good luck!

You can try throwing it into  bitaddress.org  and see if its recognized. It supports most formats so if it doesn't recognize it likely a bad sign.

If you vote no please answer with a little reason why if you could.
Really interested why someone would want $10 for a old empty address!

Most concerns can likely be answered and taken care of - if you are skeptical, please give us a chance to explain how and why you should claim your free CLAMs.

Did you figure out how to get her dug up easy?

For something that small I would just use JD troll box.

/dig

Free pack of smokes though! Tongue Or a few beers ect!
i already dug at jd , gambled and won some clams and sold all of them lol
should've invested instead of selling at low price.  Undecided

It seems many users in this forum are talking about digging free clams! I am really interested at it, just downloaded the wallet and try it out.

Be sure to move the coins off the addresses before digging CLAMS off them just to be safe.

Each old address is like a $10.

Pack of smokes for a empty old DOGE address FTW ect.
