I certainly wasn't expecting much.  Circle strike me as one of those style-over-substance outfits.  They think if they sit there trying to look edgy and cool that people will take them seriously.  All hype, no action.  Then, when it turns out they don't actually have a legitimate business plan, they blame someone else for their own shortcomings.

Honestly, I doubt it's going to get better.

The only reason people thought their first attempt at an exchange was a big deal is because no one could get an invite.  Not because it was massively popular, but because they couldn't even support the limited number of customers they had, so couldn't expand the business by accepting any more.  It was destined to fail and it did.  All the signs seemingly point to a repeat performance with Polo.
Well can't agree more. Also I stumbled upon this article where the Circle Poloniex team says what they are planning to do. Made me chuckle on how much they are bullshitting. Cheesy
I'm not being rude.

I did expect them to be better... O well.
Oh don't mistaken me. I am not saying that you're being rude. What I meant is be a little polite in your support tickets to poloniex, might help your issue getting solved much faster. I don't know if this would actually work in theory but I have seen that people don't act well when you swear/be angered at them, this lowers their morale as they have to go through the same shit over and over again.

I'm so fucking annoyed with myself for trying them again.

They hung some funds up in January for me as well... took forever to get sorted out.

I'm not going to let it happen again.

PS: Still no funds or response
To be honest 13 days is no where near to the number of days poloniex used to lock/disable access to the user's funds. Probably I can only tell you to be a little patient and non harsh to them, because these people definitely don't like "rude behaviour".
But did anyone seriously expect poloniex to get better after Circle purchased it?

They do not give me money for 2 months, the status of Awaiting Approwal!!! Sum of 100 ETH

What do you plan to do? Can you get to their office? I will pay all your expenses after solving the issue with them! I am even more so with Russia and it is more difficult for me to do this than to you.

Who can get to their office? I will pay money for a visit to their office and resolve the issue with money.

I think you added me on Skype.

Have you opened a support ticket?

Why Asia? Is it to get away from American regulators?

Asians are less stupid and lazy than Americans as a whole.

It is an odd one. If they're thinking of trying to dominate Asian markets that would be a big old task and they could throw infinite money at it and get nowhere.
Also if they expand in Asia, their cost would cut down by a huge margin. Asia is much cheaper than the US. Circle can easily double their cash flow by this. This is something that most of the US companies are doing, set up a company in US,and make a "good name" of themselves in the market, and when things go smoothly, they show their real ambition, that is sell their company to a Asian guy for millions of dollars,or they just move their entire business to somewhere in Asia. It really boosts up their cash flow, seriously.

I've been waiting on a "Pending Approval" withdraw for 13 days now.

I've had a support ticket open for 13 days without a single reply.

Super frustrating.  You would think with Circle buying Poloniex out, that Poloniex would start to suck a little less.

Fucking trash.  Canceling my whole account once I receive my coins.

And the bold part is the best decision to take. I cannot imagine my funds hanged somewhere for a whole 13 days and there is no hope in sight whether there is fault somewhere causing the delay or there is need for any form of verification or confirmation just a total silence. The excesses of Poloniex is one too many that didn't even abate with the new management team coming on board by way of acquisition. It's time yo ditch and wait for them to sort themselves out.

Even if they have changed the owner changes in their business including customer service will not happen over night. And currently they are probably having some other issues in focus.
Circle will have to do a lot of efforts to implement good business practice again and to gain the customer trust that has been lost.

Haven't log in Poloniex since last summer, when few of my friends had their ETC freezed on withdraw for months, and to be honest I don't miss it. Many new exchanges launched recently so there is more and more competition, and Polo still doing nothing to be customer friendly... One can only hope that Circle will implement some new, better standards in time.

Payments technology company Circle announced it plans to hire up to 100 people in Asia to expand its recently acquired Poloniex cryptocurrency exchange, Bloomberg reports today, March 15.

why not? asia (at least east asia---china, japan, korea) is a massive market. chinese and koreans in particular are born speculators and gamblers. and given the region's population, the market is still largely untapped.

Still no coins or reply... Day 14.

that's nothing by poloniex standards. if you get the issue resolved within a month, i'd consider it an improvement. every time i click "withdraw" on polo, i say a little prayer. Tongue

I've never had withdrawal problems at Poloniex, but I have heard plenty of horror stories. However, the problem I had was when they released their "Legacy Account" mandatory verification notice back in December, I had lots of issues just trying to go through their "automated" verification system, and after submitting multiple tickets with zero response, I resigned myself to having to cut Polo from my list of exchanges. And then, a week or so ago (so 2+ months after initial attempts of verification + support tickets), my account was finally verified. Still no response to any of my tickets, but oh well. I am hoping that the Circle integration does help a lot, because I do like Polo's interface.

What I did was, sent messages to their support team every 3 hours for the first 3 days. Then did it once a day for the next 6 days, then I went public on Twitter on the last day lol. Then the coins arrived.

Very likely pure coincidence. The thing with exchange support priority systems is that it doesn't help if you keep sending emails. Your recent emails will not be read, and if you are being seen as a spammer, they might even completely junk out your most recent mails. Social media is full of people complaining, so you doing that as well won't mean anything to them. It's just another one in an already massive list.

What people here don't realize is that Poloniex is the first exchange to be fully approved by the SEC, which is a major advantage leap Circle now enjoys. I am fairly sure that they don't mind the outflow of regular users since I am expecting it to function as securities and options exchange for deep pockets later on. I don't expect anything to happen this year with Poloniex, but it's a worthy asset in JPM's and GS's portfolio with the SEC approval in their pocket.

it seems more that they are greedy and do not want to fix the biggest problems of all exchange: lack of sufficient staff to solve the problems of the clients, according to this:

1. You should not be waiting 13 days for a reply from support.
2. Your money should not be held up because of "security concerns", especially for so long.
3. At least give an option where instant withdrawals are available, instead of it being "awaiting approval".

Quote
When the Poloniex-Circle integration began in late February, together we faced a backlog of 159,000 customer issues. Over the past 6 weeks, we have resolved 76,000 of those issues and added 6 new agents to our support team. We have tripled the number of engineers working on our wallet infrastructure and streamlined the process for notifying engineering when technical support is needed.

This is promising.... I'm REALLY just hoping I get this fucking deposit before next month.

Well, it don't mean jackshit if your problem hasn't been resolved, and your problem arose when poloniex was already acquired by Circle.

They should be focusing all of their manpower to resolving current issues before moving onto expanding into Asia or whatever. I understand they want to profit and whatnot, but they need to sort out existing problems.
