i think polo is going to be the next biggest fail in crypto world. They are having too much problems and i withdraw all my coins from polo.

I have the same opinion with you, I think the bittrex will replace the position of the poloniex since the service of the poloniex is worse and it is very hard for new coins to be listed .

oh god, i hope not!
i once was hoping bittrex becomes bigger and replace poloniex but looking back at how poloniex used to be, how good it was, how responsive and respective they were towards their users and how smooth and problem-free it used to be i regret hoping the same fate for bittrex!

of course it is different people with different service and may act very differently but it is the human nature and it happened too many times so far with so many different services that when they got big they started not-caring and becoming a crappy service just making millions daily...

They start out like that when they are small, but when they get bigger they seem to get an attitude.
Money changes everything and their confidence do really leveled up since its one of the most reputable exchange site because of the good service they did when they are just started and building up the trust and good service throughout the years and now they are starting to fade.Well nothing on this world would remain on the top spot there would really be a time poloniex would really be replaced for sure.

Is poloniex going to be a scam site? Do i have to pullout my investment here? Or is it still safe? Thank u

I really hope Poloniex wont be tag as one of those scam exchange site, I still have a couple of altcoins left in that site though it is not a huge amount but if it is converted to our country's fiat it can help.

Polo is doing fine on me. I think same situation before.  Big exchanges like Polo are target of this attack and they should be prepared of this kind of situation and even having a mitigating plan on hand. Hope all is well  with Polo.

As usual, Polo support has no idea what's going on and they'll repeat the same old shit, that is "Thank you for your patience" while we look into that.

Last time I waited days for a 0.02BTC withdrawal was with Cryptsy. At least I could withdraw everything from Cryptsy before they went *poof*...
Poloniex "withdraw approval" smells very similar to Cryptsys "no-trade-fee-but-huge-withdraw-fee". Poloniex says it takes only 24hrs to approve it, but then they don't say when these 24hrs are  Tongue

Just use both exchanges. I have almost zero worries about funds on either. But best to split between them and also coinbase.. kraken... gemini.

The problem with Bittrex is they don't have trading tiers. Let's just say my fees at Bittrex would be vastly higher.
I will try to talk to them about this.

On Polo's downtime :

I think that they are very very careful about security on their backend. Due to this they don't have things running in a more advanced fashion as some other sites. They use older code (for lack of a better term). Safer but exposes them to downtime. This increases safety of our funds but creates downtime issues with database quirks and what not. I think they might have to make the jump and give in to a more advanced backend.

The other downtime issue is the DDoS attacks. Which there is not much they can do about in some cases other than mitigate.
Expect DDoS against Bittrex as they grow. This is nothing new at all.

Polo has been running pretty well for me today.

Withdraw all of your coins asap. They have been down three times in the past three weeks.
Sorry, but I lost too much money getting scammed from exchanges and I do not trust them anymore.
If you withdraw your coins now you will thank me in the future.

i know that polo is short on support as i remember my withdrawal takes 2 weeks before it process out.

Poloniex is a trusted exchange site but must better if we have some alternative exchange site to  choose also.

Many people will get angry in here. Polo's just being trusted by many people because they have the supply of coins, they have many, literally. I agree to your statement that this would be the biggest fail in crypto world. But how can you withdraw all your coins when the exchanger close Sad. This is so sad right?

If this has merely been a DDOS they succeeded in killing not only the servers but also the reputation.
Everybody and their uncle withdrawn their funds, and if that wasn't for august 1st it was at least for security concerns.

To repair that Poloniex would need to 1) re-establish the Trollbox 2) adapt the newest topmost coins 3) offer 99% uptime for next 6 monthes 4) haul up that backlog on customer's complaints. This is next to impossible.

I don't like polo customer support ,even worst that yobit support.
Bittrex soon will replace poloniex.

Aww come on, nobody can beat Yobit at that. They are industry leaders on some regards.

edit: the public API endpoints are clickable, so site seems kinda to be up still. maybe the front interface suffers.

Same here. Been waiting for almost 3 months now.

I've moved all my coins to wallets instead and in future will use bittrex instead.
