First block found, all payouts have been processed!

Just sent 5 BTE as a little thank-you to all miners participating. Looking forward for the first block to be solved.

How often do the payouts happen?

Payout should happen after a found block – which did not happen yet. Please note that I just set this up today, so I can't exactly tell you how it will work out until we find the first block.

How much would I have earned here?
If we would find a block right now, I'd say that would be 15 BTE.
I'm sorry that it did not work out for you, I'm still trying to figure out what's the problem here.

EDIT: Is the pool hashrate accurate?

I hope it is. I currently says  594MH/s

EDIT: I'ts at 1.12GH/s now, stats seem to be a bit delayed.

Thanks, that looks awesome! I'll watch closely and hope that payout works as excepted. If not, please let me know.

Small update: it seems GUIMiner is working for some people – and not working for others (sorry strunberg, I did not find any solution for you yet).

Please just check if you see your payout address in the list. It should be there right after your first accepted share.
If it is not, then something is not working.

Thanks for anyone who's willing to give their hashpower to test, really appreciate that!

It's up now.
I think it's still not working. At your hashrate we would see an immediate spike of shares.

Add -v -w 128 for a start to extra flags...jeeeeeez..... kidding.

Give this a try.

Download https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/official-cgminer-mining-software-thread-for-linuxwinosxmipsarmr-pi-4110-28402 and create a short cut, right click the short cut and put this at the end of the target.

e.g cgminer.exe -o http://54.225.76.105:6327 -g 1 -I 12 -u 8XSXmLJ5DB6qpdEhqv4EcfkcFUmDwa8rBA -p 8

I see, settings look good. I don't know what's up but sorry that it's not working. Bummer. I'll have a look again and will report back.

I think your pools are a scam.

Once again I can't connect.

I have 15 shares.

You have shares but you can't connect? Which miner are you using?

GUI.
I don't know how you could get shares without being connected first, but I'll have a look. What's your payout address?

EC2 is great to put a thing quickly. It might get expensive if you have to scale, but at the moment I'm just fiddling around for fun.
Even so... last time I checked running a server 24/7 for a month would cost at least $50. Be sure to check your statement and pricing before you get an unpleasant surprise next month.

E2 won't that get expensive ?

I really need to brush up on AWS.

Looks like you are running p2pool as well. Can you detail what you did to make GUIMiner work?

To be honest: I don't know. I just set up Ubuntu 12.04 on EC2, cloned your github and openend ports. I connected from 2 different computers to test and my GUIMiner workers immediately showed up in the list. So I guess it's port related??

I set up a bytecoin mining pool:
http://pool8.co/

Wanna join? Please point your miners to
Host: 54.225.76.105
Port: 6327
Username: [Your BTE Payout Address]
Password: 8

Stats are here: http://pool8.co/static/
Pool fee is 1%.

How do I know if my setup is working?
As soon as you have one accepted share your payout address should show up on the website. If your payout address is listed under "Registered payout addresses" then everything should be good. If you're mining and you don't see your address then please post here and I'll see what I can do.

Important Note: GUIMiner is working for me, but there have been problems reported using GUIMiner, so please be sure to test before mining too long.

Example setup for GUIMiner

This pool is totally beta, I'm currently testing stuff, please let me know if there's any problems.

Thanks to:
Gerco for the P2Pool modification and LucasJones for helping setting up bytecoind.
