Great news! pool is allready droping much more shares than a 2 weeks ago. this will fix it and give a lot of time to apply vardiff before next LTC and other alts eruption starts. I knew you would figure something out. it looks like Balthazar was right from the begining to close getwork. I was wrong to advice keeping it and introduce auto-stratum-swich. well, I would be right if not the 1000% pool hashrate increase Cheesy

PPC problems (8322 and 9322 ports):

Add difficulty level to the worker settings. Right now my cgminer defaults to 8 when I connect my 2.7G rig, this (or something on your end) causes hash rates drops and hardware errors in BFL and Icarus boards.
Diff level of 2 works well with btcguild. Not sure if it stratum or other issues on your end. I had to disconnect it because PPC mining rates (BTCBTCBTC) were falling below BTC mining rates (BTCBTCBTC).
BTW, fix-protocol option on my end causes further drops in rates.

LTC works ok so far.

Protection is working. Problems are caused by two overloaded getwork pools:
1. PPC pool is based on getwork protocol. When Bitparking has been closed all miners pointed their rigs to Coinotron - ca 700GH/s
2. Still 30% of total LTC hashrate is from getwork pool - ca 700MH/s

Stratum LTC, TRC and BTC are unaffected by these performance issues.

To LTC miners. Please switch your mining software to stratum compatible. You will have a lot less stales !

Question for you:
Do you provide API interface to get the account balance, hash rates? It would be useful for apps that monitor pool performance/status.

For example: Few days ago, notroll.in was operating fine and accepting shares, but NOT crediting accounts. It was a bug that lasted few hours,
most people did not see it (cgminer included).

Do you have a stratum difficulty limit setting for the pool. I see in cgminer it is 128 right now for ltc. Where can I lower it as my shares per minute is terrible right now?

Is my mining hash rate supposed to be so crazy low on coinotron? I'm seeing like 290khash when I have about 2000 going at it...I know it can vary a lot but I'm getting worried it's not working right.
