Hi there,

Ok so the pool is back up again.

We have changed the primary IP to connect to 41.74.101.22:8332

Please point your miners to the new IP and get cracking.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi guys,

Just some updates.

As you all know we have been experiencing major issues with DDos and other attacks. We noticed some jackass used SQL injection to try and corrupt our database, they failed Tongue. Due to the risk to our users we decided to take the pool down over the weekend and work on some security measures to prevent these attacks or at least keep it to a minimum.

I will update on this thread once everything has been completed and the pool will be up again.

Thank you very much for the support. We are doing our best to keep this going.

Regards

DavidR

It seems that someone dont want us to get off the ground.

Yep, trying our best to secure the server as much as possible.

As soon as the server is up everytime the DDos attacks start. We have now put a hard firewall between us and the internet.
Why would somebody do this crap ?

I just can't understand their reasoning behind trying to kill a small startup pool.

Sukrim,

I have no idea who Meni is and what the algorithm is, this frontend is an Opensource one from this Forum, there is two payout algorithms to select when setting this up. Proportional or Cheat Proof, I chose cheat proof.

The frontend was built by Xenland, modified by simplecoin.us and fixes implemented by Wayno of ozcoin, they deserve all the thanks.

All we did was put it all together and host it on our servers.

The payout algorithm is hopping proof.
Based on Meni's algorithm?

Hi Sukrim,

The payout algorithm is hopping proof.

We finance the servers ourselves, we are a ITC/ISP  company based in South Africa and decided to host this for the fun of it, bandwith and hosting included, we decided hey why not join this effort and make some extra income with the machines just standing around.
No transaction fees there is a 0.01BTC charged by the BTC client for the transaction though.

We hope our members donate some of their BTC payouts as the option is available to them in their Account Panel but it is completely up to them.

What's your payout algorithm? Proportional or hopping-proof?
Also who gets transaction fees and who (and how) finances the server(s)?

Kinda the standard questions I think...

Spammy,

All fixed, the issue was the username MYSQL query to check if user already exists in DB.

I tried to register with multiple usernames and email addresses, all "Already existed". For a start-up pool it sounds dubious.

Hi spammy,

Having a look at this now. We had an update on the website it might have caused something to get broken. Will update you soon.
