@sundownz damn that is some serious CPU powah!

Here are some pics of my newly finished XU4 rig. Some descriptions at imgur:

Hashing at ~450h/m each for a total of 5400h/m and mining Verium of course :>

What are you running on the RPI for controlling these?

What hashrate can I expect with x5675 (12Mb L3 Cache) for Cryptonight coins?

By the way, everytime I mine with my core, I'm constantly receiving disconnection alerts (1 every 30-45 minutes) in my email, from the pool. Somone told me that this is because mining under certain hashrate, and not submitting regularly shares, makes the pool think that the miner has disconnected, so there is no solution to this

I've been into CPU mining for a long time. I mostly mine analog though, I'm sure you've never heard of it. Here's a pic of my rig.

EINAC? Or at least somewhat comtemperary with it if not.

@eddex very intriguing machine you have there, I am mining with my CPU ( Ryzen 1800x) because I recently discover that CPU mining is still possible. Even I don´t touch Linux for quiet some years, can you share your specs and configurations, I would like to go deep into CPU mining and your machine seems to be the way. Many thanks

Hi, I'd suggest reading Birtys guide here: https://steemit.com/verium/@birty/cpu-mining-is-back-a-complete-how-to-guide-and-profit-analysis-for-verium-mining-on-a-farm-of-single-board-computers-part-1

It's somewhat outdated but still a nice starting point. Also, join the slack for Verium and Vericoin. Verium is a great coin to CPU mine and lots of people are running interesting CPU rig projects: https://vericoinandverium.slack.com/

I'm by no means a pro hax0r but I like having projects to mess around with in my spare time. Lots of people out there are more knowledgeable than me but if you have any questions I can try to respond Tongue
Odroid XU4s are great SBCs to get started, but make sure to also have a look at the Odroid HC1 (which is essentially a stripped down XU4 with a big heatsink) that jacko, OP of this thread, is using. The main point of my mining rig was not to make a profitable machine, but to have fun building. I'll make a profit eventually, but custom machined front plate etc etc will give me a loooong ROI.

So is it still porfitable to mine with CPU, or are you going to hold the bags and wait for a Pump?
Lots of cool CPU only coin out there, and for example Monero can still be profitable even though it's GPU mineable.

Totally worth it if you mine the right thing... the X5660s that I bought for $20 each will pay themselves off in about 30-days mining Intense.

Yap. Also the legend says, having a card game opened on your desktop, will increase your hashrate by 20%, 30% more if you have also RGB!  Grin

Not pure CPU... but I do have 29 pcs Xeon X5660, 3 pcs AMD FX-8300, 3 pcs AMD A10-5800k, and 1 pcs i5 6500 running Cryptonight mining Intense Coin.

About 7000 H/S in CPU power.

Also... 4x 10-Core Xeon CPUs in this HP Server also on Intense... 1200 H/S in CPU power.

And... 1x Ryzen 1700X over-clocked to 3850 Mhz doing about 600 H/S also on Intense.
