I use Linux, but it's not a cure-all. A stupid user on Linux could be infected by an attacker just as easily as a stupid user on Windows.
And running linux in a sandboxed VM on a mac would stop even more of all malware. You can never be 100% safe though.

Also, I just got finished editing my backgrounds, finally. This thread is probably the place to post them, because they're all NSFW. Anyway, some of them were larger than 1080p by a little bit in length or width (or both,) causing part of it to be cut off if I centered it, so I shrunk them to fit (if necessary,) and then padded it out to 1080p with black pixels (if it wasn't already at 1080p.)
I have dual monitors, and I like to have a different image on each monitor when I boot into Windows, so my next step was to concatenate the images together to make one 3480x1080 background that I can use with Windows 7, and it shows different images for my different monitors!
