Well, with the adult industry almost always backing new technologies that become "victorious" over time, and contributing to said "victory" with they adoption in the adult world, I only see this as a positive. Even if the mark up is crazy. Remember VHS and Blu Ray? I realize that BTC is very different since it's not a distribution method, but still.

With the adult industry being a billion-dollar moneymaker, we should be happy about this. Wider adoption is a plus, even if critics could bash BTC for being a gateway to porn/sin/whatever's against the church and good family values.

Crypto currency should be making the world a better place Wink

Drugs and porn don't contribute to this. Sad

I don't agree with your views. Soft drugs like Marijuana were in  use for the last several centuries. People (i.e adult people) should be free to do whatever they want to do with their body.

And regarding porn, sex industry is at least 2 millennium old. I don't know about others. But I myself don't want to live in a country where porn is banned (don't get it wrong. I am not addicted to porn).

The porn industry does great harm to the women involved.  Many are traumatized, oppressed, abused, and hooked on illegal drugs. Male and female porn actors die all of the time from AIDS, drug overdoses, suicides, etc.

Driving the sex industry underground will do extreme harm to these very women. When the dealings are public, there is minimal forced trafficking and the medical care is readily available. Once you drive it underground, it is open season for all.

The porn industry is fuelled by its consumers - they and their money drive this destructive business - and hence the damage done to these women can be partly attributed to the consumers as well as the producers. These women are precious and deserve to be loved just as much as you do.

Let us all make the world a better place to live in and protect our woman and daughters from the onslaught of destructive pornography and illegal drugs. Smiley

Customers will be there no matter how much you oppress the sex industry. If single and lonely people don't get enough porn, then they will start raping vulnerable women. I don't want that to happen.

illegal drugs

making things illegal does more harm to society, i like the idea of trying to protect women/anyone for sure.  We need to be smarter than prohibition.

this is the first i've heard of a porn site accepting bitcoin.. everyone's been asking them to do it, and when it finally happens, no one really notices.

met-art.com accepts bitcoin for several months now. There has been a thread here on the forums when they started accepting it. You might find it if you dig a bit Smiley

The hidden message which they are trying to convey is that if you want anonymity, then you should be ready to pay a 15x premium.  Grin

Until goodchristians.org takes bitcoin, we will not notice.

If any religious entity attempts to charge you for information/media/physical products related to their religion,
Spit on their face and call them a [opposite of whatever their religious item/information/media is(in this case demonic)].

Because the $1 subscription banks on people forgetting to cancel, I'm guessing. Such tactics not yet available with Bitcoin.

You seem to be the only one who was aware of it.  The rest of us do not frequent "those" types of websites.
