Actually i don't know what Mark Zuckerberg want to gain with recent ban probably he want the legit icos to pay to can't them access for their Ads on Facebook or he actually want to eradicate the scam being perpetrated through the adverts on Facebook.
I don't expect twitter to follow the suit the platform that can really have big effect on ico is telegram.

I guess the marketing team will have to allocate more budget to bounty campaigns if paid advertising for cryptocurrencies is banned. This could benefit the bounty hunters, a blessing in disguise maybe?

If they ban it, Twitter will ban only paid advertisements.
Most of ICO's are making twitter campaign. Those are private tweets and Twitter will not censor it.

Social media is a great tool for advertisement to boost your business project model. It's sad one of the most a big influencer in the social media Facebook has banned any cryptocurrencies related ads, I'm sure Instagram will follow the same because it has the same owner. There will be a lot of disadvantages when many social media ban cryptocurrency ads, and if ever that happen, I'm sure Bitcointalk is will be the main part for cryptocurrency ads.

I have been an online marketer for quite some time and what I noticed on facebook is that it always changes - one of the many examples was when online marketers were making lots of money through traffic arbitrage using Facebook ads to promote their blog posts with some teasing titles like that of bored panda and then monetizing their blog with Adsense and native ads - Facebook stop it.
Before facebook allows promoting dating ads but when CPA marketers were earning big, Facebook halted it.
Now, with the recent rise of cryptocurrency marketers and earning a lot as well, Facebook, as usual, banned the same.
I think facebook really doesn't want random online marketers to earn big with their platform and at the same time, they are trying to protect their user base when certain trends tend to be abused by some fraudster - I am not saying that all crypto advertisers are fraudster but there are really some I think.
With Twitter, they are quite lenient but eventually follow suit most of the time but not as aggressive as Facebook and Google.
Because facebook doesnt want its community to see a lot of scammy ICOs as the SEC has restrict U.S citizens they should follow what the government wants or mark zuckerberg will always be an allied to what the government wants.Facebook is a user friendly social media sites as they allow 13+ years old users to join facebook they are just protecting their citizens with these scammy ICOs,we cannot blame facebook because most of the ICOs today are just raising funds then will fail and run at the end. Ads, or facebook ads in particular doesn't really have much of an effect in the first place. Facebook ads are just not that effective. Remember that Facebook ads target specific users. People in this forum would definitely see those kind of ads but someone who doesn't have a single trace of even searching the word bitcoin wouldn't see any cryptocurrency related ads. A user that posts something about an ICO would better at selling that product than a fancy ad.

There could be that possibility, however, having seen the article, I think that it is not Facebook's intention to totally ban ads pertaining to the cryptocurrency market. I think what they are trying to control are the unwanted and flooding content that populate the system, and upon appraisal, some advertisers also post useless content that doesn't even amount to an advertisement if you would look closely at it. Also, I think that facebook is exploiting that many advertisers are using their platform as a means to market products because they get income from that too. Thus, why would they ban something that is of value. Having said, I think twitter would gauge the positive stuff it bring before having those drastic measures implemented.

But Fb might also introduce their own crypto.
Interested to see how that goes.
With Facebook's net worth, I don't see the need for them to launch their own coin.
TS: Wouldn't surprise if Twitter follows suit. But if Google will also join the ban, it will be more scary since Adsense is everywhere, YouTube included.

No,twitter wont do that,did you know that twitter wasnt that strict to pornography? facebook is too strict because their users are from 13+ yrsold thats why they need to protect the young folks,twitter in the other hand doesnt control the pornography theres a lot of nude photos all over the twitter,there will be less chance that twitter will follow facebook footstep.For me twitter is more open to this kind of promotions,they are less greedy than facebook today i can guarantee you because ive been a user facebook for 10years and twitter. i am not that familiar with Twitter but checking it, i have never seen any advertisement on it. and note that what people post is not the same as ads. what Facebook banned was in fact rejecting any "banner ads" which they put up on their site.
"banner ads" is like the one you see on each bitcointalk topic page under the first post. twitter does not have the same thing as far as i can tell!
with that said, i really hope they all ban anything cryptocurrency related not just ICOs. it would be a great thing. we take the hit once and endure whatever comes because of it once and then be done with it instead of hearing the same nonsense every couple of months!

Why are you experiencing, crypto-currencies are so very popular. If you participate in the company's facebook, then repost and like are not prohibited. Work with pleasure, you do not need to panic!
The real mystery behind this ban is the Mark Zuckerberg's own plan which involves his own currency. I think that he even bought some domains secretly. If the Facebook continues with the plans of their own currency I am sure that many of their counters will be angry. This current move( banning cryptocurrencies) just showed how the Facebook is shellfish and arrogant( Mark).
Twitter won't ban advertising of the crypto for sure because advertising supports them financially. Mark selfish attitude, even if he releases his cryptocurrency, will lead him to demise!

Its quite big impact to the industry of cryptocurrencies, somehow there will be a minimum gain income of ICO's because Facebook is one of the biggest community of social medias. I don't see any reason twitter will follow the implementation of that kind of rules, they are also earning on some paying advertisement on some ICO's.
If they will follow that rules,then it will have a big impact in terms of advertisemets for ICO's and to the crypto world.
