As far as better quality goes I, or whoever makes the final version(s) will need higher resolution graphics than the ones i just grabbed in an acceptable format (SVG PNG AI ect.) I've been working in Publisher myself and offer the orignal file to anyone offering to do some touching up or seeking to make an alternative version, Just pm me an email address and i will send it in both .pub and .pubx formats(sorry AI guys i don't have/use any of those programs)

This is a 11x17 version i was thinking some examples of sites that accept bitcoin would attract more attention, Pending their approval and a more pleasnt design of course

I'll gladly endorse these (with some cosmetic improvements, of course). Heck, I might even order some.

How does one get these posters? like to spread it around school!

Once we have finalized designs I'll make them available as a .pdf and also offer to print them for anyone willing to pay for their shipping

While the overall look is OK for me, the content's ugly now. It should be telling it all to a normal user, who doesn't know anything about cryptography, peer-to-peer, just what can be done with Bitcoins from the users' perspective.

That's an interesting point i've been basing my efforts off people i know at RIT but the group is going to be diffrent at a non technical college. I'm starting to think more than one version will be needed geeks like words like cryptography(i'll vouch for this myself) art students don't care about it a bit.

Eye catching. Eye pleasing.... and minimal colors. (I wasn't sure if that was a factor or not, so I only used the colors you used)

I wouldn't go with this one either, I'm sure SOMEONE can make something better or I can try when I have more time. This was just a quick job.

While I think the idea is great and what you are doing is really great, the poster you have posted pretty bad. lol.

If I have time, I'll whip one up for you later. I'm not a pro, but I'm not bad at photoshop. Maybe some other people can post some too. The idea is freaking awesome and the fact you are giving them away, to anyone even if they aren't for everyone, is really really cool.

You need a great headline.

Something that makes people curious.

Any advice on that beyond something like "Make your fortune with bitcoins"

I've been unable to find anyone who's developed a physical bitcoin poster so i've decided i should work up a few to send to people i know at various universities, i'm going to make prints in 8.5X11 and 11X17 and intend to distribute them at no more than shipping cost as well as making them freely available for those who wish to print their own, any advice is welcome

A bounty of 2btc is avilable for the graphic designer to improve/clean up the posters into a printable state claimed by evoorhees
A new bounty is being issued for a poster including a variety of vendors this is also 2btc

This is the final result from voorhees, What does everyone think?
I have a copy with the "bleed" effect but getting a borderless print will require a visit to a print shop
50 pages fits in a USPS flat rate envelope so shipping will be
50 11x17 pages fits in a priority mail envelope shipping is unforutunatly higher than i had hoped and will be
The basic poster will be available both in 8.5x11 and 11x17 print sizes the (in progress) posters with vendors will be available as 11x17 only
Donations for those wishing to help out with purchasing print supplies can be sent to :1Jv5Pxpm7E9uYuKVVQdfxW3gvDkADzo5b7 otherwise they're paid out of pocket

A second poster(with vendor placement) is now avilable
The listed vendors were selected for their activity in the comunity when work began on the poster, vendors wishing to have themselves placed on the poster in place of others are required to provide a SVG or high resolution PNG format image for their logo and the desired address for the relevant QR code.
