There's currently an issue with SMF software the the forum uses.
I can imagine moving a thread to the trashcan doesn't take much resources, unlike sending a notification to potentially thousands of users.
It is definitely true that if every reply in trashcanned would require a notification, that it could become resource intensive to notify every single one of the users that had responded.
What I was referring to however, was that even the OP isn't getting a notification. I saw Cyrus in Discord saying that there isn't even a mechanism for current SMF software to notify OP if their thread is moved to a board they can't access (i.e. trashcan). Instead the body of the post is lost forever without any trade to the user. Notification would be possible to be done even with current infrastructure for sure, but probably we aren't going to see such before epoch talk. Here is the discussion on discord.

Have not noticed such before but the other time this happened to me was when moderator deleted all of my post I have made in the past I don't know if it was due to some scripts they are testing.
You have been in the forum since October 17, 2017, and don't even know how and why posts are deleted in the forum. In fact if you had read a few replies above yours you should have known why, but instead you went ahead to speculate about script testing  Grin
Think this is different. The user has had 28 posts deleted from their account (which accounts for almost 10% of their posts!) but it could have been a mass clearing of insubstantial replies. If you take a look at their post history, there is a plethora of one-liners (example) and I can presume that someone went to report their post history.

Sometimes, I do the same thing when I encounter egregiously bad spammers - it's better to root out a high concentration of spam via users rather than via boards and threads Wink

Once again, I am beginning to doubt if you are even the actual owner of this account after suspicion about the account getting hack arouse sometime back here

You've posted in one thread that was trashed so that will account for one post missing.

This is definitely wrong part of forum. Posts that talk about forum itself fit in Offtopic-Meta  part of forum and not among altcoins. What should this have to have with altcoins?   I bet this post will also disappear from here soon.
Which one of meta related posts have been moved to altcoin discussion? Can you link some? I doubt there's any. I have never seen moderator doing that. If they did, you must have report the post to moderator to check where it fits better.

You seems to missunderstood what I wrote. OP posted this in Altcoins discussions part of forum. I see it is moved now to Meta where is its right place.

If someone post about altcoins in Meta part of forum their post for sure dont stay there but gets moved to Altcoins discussion.

I recently got suspended for 3 days over a deleted thread and a vague reason, and I had no idea until I checked my thread history.

He's not, see all unedited (or deleted) posts in Possible to still make money from Airdrops ???.

But if they are moved to a board inaccessible to you, you lose their contents forever. So it's best to hit preview before submitting so at least you have contents in your drafts.
Drafts shouldn't be used as a backup, they don't last long.

If a member of the forum's staff moves your thread/post to the trashcan, then you get no notification about it. And if they also don't post a redirection notice where the previous thread was, you just see an error message and the contents of your post are no longer accessible to you.

Normally, if your response was deleted from say a self moderating topic, you get a PM quoting the contents of your response and a link to the thread. Sadly SMF doesn't support quoting your posts that were simply moved. But if they are moved to a board inaccessible to you, you lose their contents forever. So it's best to hit preview before submitting so at least you have contents in your drafts.

There are two options, why your posts are being deleted. At first, the moderators regularly delete spam posts, secondly the creator of topic could delete the whole thread with all posts.

the OP didn't get a message because if he has he would've mentioned it. so the only possible reason is the post got deleted along with the thread. also, as far as I know, the creator of the topic cannot delete the thread they created but if the thread is self-moderated then the OP can delete posts but still cannot delete the thread.

From what I can see in LoyceV viewer of unedited and deleted posts, you have only 1 post deleted, this one:

No new way to make money from airdrops than the old ways, only very few airdrops are available on this forum, if you go through the right sources you will find good airdrops, nothing is going to change the fact that very little airdrops will pay you, if that's what you are seeking for sorry it's same story with airdrops
http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5457/54577179.html

This post was part of the topic  called  " Possible to still make money from Airdrops Huh ", and that topic got deleted for some reason, therefore deleting your post as well. You can find all those posts from that topic here

As you are a newbie, it seems that it's just your first encounter of deleted and seemingly a ghostly phenomenon on deleted posts, but the issue and answer is indeed simple. If you posted a reply on a thread that seems to be useless/off-topic to the section it posted/or violating the forum's rules, you would not be notified in the deletion of your post. Also, better post longer 200 characters, but still have an idea, a good one, that would be implicitly explained in your post, therefore making it of a good quality and your conspiracy and doubt on your post deletion would end.

I don't care to check your post history but there are three situations when your posts are deleted.

- Your posts were reported by someone else, were deleted by forum moderators: You will receive notications in your account (PMs).
- Your posts are belong to a thread that was trashed by forum moderator: You will not receive notification in your account (PMs).
- Your posts are belong to a self-moderated thread, and it was deleted by thread owner: You will not receive notification.

Your deleted post can not be found at modlog: https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php

if later on, you experience the same problem, you can simply look and follow the steps in the topic below:

Topic: 35M posts! View unedited/deleted posts (search per post, per user or per topic)

You, will find who is crap and spam posts that have been done by every member in this forum, including me and you.

So, the guide above can be the main foundation for you to know which posts (not yet edited and deleted).
You should thank @Loyce, so you don't feel weird why the post was deleted.

Exactly.  Each topic has appropriate section where it fits in or could be discussed.  Topic in the wrong board could be deleted too.

My guess is you post in a spam thread and moderator delete the whole topic along with the posts, this will surely reduce your posts and others who post on such thread, just make sure you stay away from shit posting and you will be fine.

As I understand moderator is continuously deleting old topic and out of topic thread to clean this forum .if you posted there then ,your post will also be deleted you will never receive  an email if that was the case.
