No its GPU still, just with a modified miner, more speed and cooler gpus

No, its a cgminer fork called yac2 (if i remember correctly) a few other coins also use it, QQcoin, Velocity
Works just the same, just with a different exe and a few extra parameters, it does double the kh/s and about half the heat on my 7990's, somebody said it uses less power too.
