Now i have 2 bugs in this wallet:
1. When closing wallet it is not saved properly and you should resync wallet (not daemon) every time, that takes about an hour on my machine.
2. Is generates new wallet address and keys and now it is not compatible with monero-wallet-cli keys, must be some format differences.
So now you can generate new address and use it and not able to import your previous address, but i will fix it, but this will take time.

I ask for a reasonable funding for such a great standalone wallet. 5678 was only my suggestion! Community suggested 700, i suggested 5678, we are getting closer and closer through all of this rude and disorder.  https://sendvid.com/g7pu9kbo

"Unofficial" Monero Qt GUI transaction sending test - Video https://sendvid.com/g7pu9kbo
Funding is not the only reason i haven't released source code yet... It has few bugs when closing wallet and need more testing. All videos just show the basic functions to verify that i am really working on wallet.

2. It's not "another RPC thing", Ilya has written an API he hooks into from scratch: https://github.com/monero-project/monero/tree/master/src/wallet/api

Quote from readme:

Code:
Before running the GUI, it's recommended you have a copy of bitmonero running in the background.

./bitmonerod --rpc-bind-port 38081

    Run the GUI client.

./release/bin/monero-core

Official New GUI connects to ./bitmonerod daemon and communicate with daemon with RPC calls? I think Yes. This I mean by "another RPC thing" because it connects using RPC. You should run ./bitmonerod or am i wrong?

I am building https://github.com/mbg033/monero-core now to compare it to my GUI wallet, by brief source observe i believe this is RPC thing because of daemon RPC calls.

OP wants 60,000 USD or 104 BTC to release a bit of code... Do one.

500 XMR, No more.

LOL, why 500xmr now, it was 700xmr recently. Grin

I will be happy to make the GUI wallet for less than 100 XMR. I even think thats too much let alone 700 XMR....

Its not complicated at all. Anyone with some experience will be able to do it.

OP is being extremely greedy.
So make it!

Why not just to open it, if we will reach it everyone will be happy, if not, you don`t miss anything. Am i right?

We do miss something. It's my understanding that if we don't reach your goal, the donations are just rolled into the general dev donation fund. That's all fine and dandy, except that some of us (myself included) prefer to fund specific work that we'd like to see expedited.

Does that make sense? It's in few people's interest to contribute to your proposal if it's unlikely to reach its goal. And it's in few people's interest to contribute to any proposal if the funding system habitually allows unreasonable funding goals.

I am very tired of all of this. Lets find reasonable goals, ok. You say 700xmr is a reasonable for my proposal, ok, i will think.

EDIT: Please, think like i think of this. Chronological. Ive seen XMR GUI funding with 14000 XMR, asked to start funding for my proposal at the same place, i received LOLs and rude with no explanation, ive made GUI, and asked for funding again, received rude again, tried to understand why, after all eventually it was said to me that 14000 xmr goal was long ago (how should i know that? without your explanation), changed my mind and never claimed nor 14000xmr nor 10000xmr after that. Asked for funding again with reasonable goals. received rude again.

I can repeat again: I do want to provide GUI, I do want to opensource it, I ask for funding with reasonable goals like other proposals. You say 700 XMR is a reasonable goal, I think this is quite low compared to other tasks there, but ok, I hear you, I will think about that.  And I should finish it before release.

I think you're being greedy, but here's my suggestion:

If we reach 5678xmr, everyone is happy. If we don't reach it, you get nothing, and you still release the sources. How does that sound? Still want to see how the community feels?

It's not my decision though. I thought FluffyPony was being too harsh on you at first, but now it's clear he was right and you're wasting everyone's time.

My suggestion is to start fundraising for my wallet with reasonable goals we can decide together, not 14000 XMR, but not 700 XMR too. You should understand that this software is very important for XMR and now it is a good chance to have it.

So if 700 isn't enough, what is? 1000? 1500? Whatever you ask for is coming directly out of the pockets of the volunteers and contributors of a decentralized, open source project. There is no ICO or premine to bankroll your endeavor. I'm sure you can ask for quite a bit from companies with significant resources, but this isn't a company, and there are no resources.

You will get donations in excess of the initial 700 (if you manage to raise it), so please either take up FluffyPony on his offer or quit wasting everyone's time.

I just want a reasonable compensation, after all including moral compensation Grin
Do you really think GUI worth 7x wikipedia things or similar things, just check other fundings https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required.

I suggest 5678 XMR  - 6789 XMR goal for fund raising now. Why not just to open it, if we will reach it everyone will be happy, if not, you don`t miss anything. Am i right?
So my suggestion is 5678 to 6789 XMR goal for fund raising.

Then the fact there's no GUI wallet yet means that the core team did not find it important enough to be made quicker.
And if they don't find it so important, I don't see how would they give you 100k$ for it.

I don't think "the core team did not find it important" as there's  THE OFFICIAL QT GUI PROJECT

While your video looks nice, I would never start your wallet if it's not reviewed by XMR core team.

It's a nice attempt, but you completely missed the context, see?

So, if I'd be you, I'd take their offer. Do you know why?
It's another context you missed. I think that the wallet is "next in line" on the ToDo list, so they may release a wallet themselves this year and you may end up with no payment at all.

Good luck. You'll need it.
