Trying to run Vialectrum but can't (anymore).
On windows, I first downloaded the standalone exe (by mistake instead of the installer) and ran it. At some moment it was about to generate some passphrase but the program was telling me that the PC was better disconnected from internet so I canceled the process to close the exe and disconnect my PC. Once done, I re-ran the standalone exe but since then, nothing happens.
Afterwards, I downloaded the installer and the installation went fine but when I click on that exe, still the same : nothing.
I opened the task manager to see what was happening and when I click on the exe "vialectrum.exe" is displayed only to disappear a second later.
Can somebody help me ?

I think I found a fix. If have failed to start the wallet correctly the first time and generated your seed and wallet, you can reset.
1. Use the task manager and End Process for any copies of vialectrum.exe that are running.
2. Visit c:\users\yourusernamehere\AppData\Roaming and remove the Vialectrum folder. This will delete any existing wallets be ware.
3. Start Vialectrum
You should then create a standard wallet. Please note vialectrum will ALWAYS show itself as offline until we launch Viacoin.
I can install, I can run the installation but after writing the 13 words and clicking on "next", the window disappears. Tried multiple times already. Don't know what my computer has against Vialectrum. He doesn't want it
EDIT : I purchased with the paper wallet already. Will try to install Vialectrum in the next days.
Apart from mining what options do I have to buy viacoin right now?

I'm not in control over it being added to an exchange, but I've already been contacted by one. I was also contacted by someone impersonating an exchange to try and con a 'bounty'. Was pretty amusing to watch him try, but in the end I was like, "why would anyone pay to get listed on an exchange when the exchange already makes money from trading fees". He suddenly disappeared :-P
So basically, nothing is certain and it's not in my control, but given the popularity of Viacoin already, it seems likely an exchange will add it once the full node wallets are available to download. I would not bank on it and if it's an issue for you, better you stay away.

If theres demand the exchanges will come. personally i think coins racing to get listed on little exchanges dont do them selves any favours. Btc didnt hit an exchange straight away. imo only invest what you dont need right now. this way theres no rush to get investment out. im moren than willing to wait a year if i know the project is right. Im still 90% in nxt and thats on loads of exchanges but i know it will be atleast another 6months beforebi see a "right" price to part with my nxt. And there is always a private trade that can be done via an escrow of course
I have a question, which will need to be answered before I invest.
What Exchange(s) will Viacoin be on & what E.T.A onto those exchanges?
My investment being liquid through an exchange is VERY important & I am surprised that it has not been asked already.
Investing in SWARM & not being able to get my BTC back taught me that lesson.

Sounds like a reboot would fix this. Vialectrum will show as being offline, because we have to turned on the network yet. It will still function to generate your wallet.
I ran it well the first time but since then, nothing. The program doesn't even start and is killed immediately. Looks like I'm the only one experiencing this so the problem is definitely on my end but I don't known where's the problem at all.
I could try the paper wallet but I'd prefer having Vialectrum instead.
I also ran a few scans (malwarebytes, antivir) and found nothing.
Sorry buddy, it's hard to know without seeing it myself. Maybe just use a paper wallet for now. The QT client will be available soon anyhow and you can just import it then.

Just make VERY sure you have a copy of your private key starting with 7. Importing addresses is generally not a good idea to Vialectrum since it wouldnt be backed up by your seed. You would import it, then transfer the funds to another address. For Viacoin-Qt you can import also. It's just a case of going to the console and typing the import command and pasting in the private key.

chompz, I appreciate your candour. I already answered this question previous and said I'll be mining at launch. I may also run a pool. Remember, I don't have incentive to cheat because I already have the ICO funds and I can quite happily trade when it hits an exchange: it's what I'm famous for anyhow right? There is no way for me to prove this other than by my reputation and past history, so either you trust me, or you don't. It's as simple as that. I don't particularly want to try and convince anyone either way. I have presented myself as best I can, and put my reputation on the line which I spent a long time building.

As s dreamer i put my money where my mouth is and i'm in.
Nonetheless, as a paranoid, i am bothered by a hypothetical potential flow in the ICO structure, as follows:
Suppose it wasn't BTCdrak behind this ICO but some dude named XYZ.
XYZ opens the pre-sale and people place 100BTC.
At the last minute, XYZ places an order of 400BTC and ghe ICO ends.
XYZ now lawfully receives 500BTC for the sale of coins + 80% of the ICO voins distribution.
In essense, XYZ set the market price, earned all the 100BTC that the market was bidding, and also gained 80% of the coins.
A perfect scheme imho.
I have no solution to this gameplay unless privacy is breached. I believe BTCdrak has honnest intentions and even though i'm a paranoid, i'll suffice with him posting that this will NOT be the case and that he intends to "buy" x% of the ICO coins or mine thereafter.
As i said earlier, i'm in bcs I believe in this development direction of cryptos and I think BTCdrak has earned his reputation. But one can not be paranoid enouhh in the crypto wold of shitcoins and P&D.
