The main focus initially is to provide easier interfaces (conversational UX, think slack and telegram chat bots, and gui based web app) for interaction with smart contracts so it is more accessible; we're also exploring create different governance models which DAOs using the platform could pick; the latter in part motivated by some of the critique that came out of TheDAO contract so we look forward to giving some options.

Also, we plan for this to be cross-blockchain: supporting both Ethereum and Bitcoin (via rootstock).  There is a lot of value in using bitcoin for DAOs as well; I think almost all of us can say we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Satoshi coming up with it.

Launch date is not determined yet.  Right now we are finishing up the first bot (to track bounties), drafting the white paper, and setting up a proof of concept network, there is a lot of work to be done.  We are adding some developers as well which are not mentioned on the website.
