I will be conservative with my prediction and will say around 550-650. It is still a good price raise, IMO
I have the intuition that the price does not exceed $ 480, we can exceed $ 550 or $ 600 before this date; but in January, I think it'll be between $ 450 and $ 480.
The bitcoin price could around $1000 to $1200 in January 2017. The price will go to that value because of general awareness of the bitcoin.
I feek like it is binary, 1 hand i like picking a price above the previous ATH. Another option could be we just stay in this sideway motion for a couple more years until some huge reason to go upwards happens. Things like openbazaar if it works properly could help us since buyers and sellers on that network will generally hold more bitcoin than normal.

The price will be $1200 in the next year. That is after the effect of halving and the block size increased to 4MB effectively.
i am predicting a price bigger than $700 for the next year (January, 2017) because i believe no matter the bubble happens or not the price is just going to keep on going up

I don't mean to be rude, but what do you have to back this prediction up? I can understand it if you are adjusting for the recent upswing in the Bitcoin price, but that seems just a bit too high for just over a year from now.Consensus reached and a lot of new BIPs and interesting additions being added. Segwit and lightning network coming soon that will solve the complains about transactions getting stuck, and absolutely 0 real competitors because all alts are just not as good as the Core dev team... many reasons to believe in the biggest moon you've ever seen.
750$ seems fair price after halving in july, and that china buys bitcoins now, price should rise really fast, just i don't think that it will go to 1000$

i'm only against it because i don't think january is a good month for a pump, usually pump, big pump, appear on the october/novemeber zone
this is a very hard prediction, because the time of halving rally is not clear so by January 1, 2017 it might be after or in the middle of it.

Yeah and if it reaches 1000 then that would be the value to hold, as we have been waiting for bitcoin to reach that level, and if it achieves it, majority of us would be making huge profits.
even if we reach $1000, then it still will not hold. all people who are saving up coins at current prices will definitely sell between $900-$1000 if they have the guts to hold their coins for that long. many people will take profits at $550-$600 as they are too scared to hold their coins for a longer time. which means that before we reach $1000 there will be simply too much sell orders to eat through. it will take a few attempts to get the price above $1000 for as long as it takes.
