I'm not sure what caused the price to raise over the last few months, but I believe this is the build up to another crash. Ive made a decent amount trading lately, but for now I'm staying in usd for primarily (I only hold positions in btc right now for extremely short periods) until I figure out which way the market wants to move...but I'm guessing it'll hit ten and crash.

I don't think that the price will go below 7.8$, most of the people are on the sidelines waiting for the price to drop to 8.0 and buy. Take profit then around 8.75$ and 9.0$.

I'm tempted to try to short, but I really believe in the long term potential and I don't trust my sense of timing for significant market moves. So... maybe I'll miss the opportunity to multiply my coins by 3 or 4 times... but I think the bounceback will be faster than the current one.

I concur....I was being modest in my estimation...3 weeks as I said...could be in 5 days...but then again I'm not perfect in timing these things. I just know they will happen (fairly well).

I disagree with the OP's prediction - lower support channel is in the 8.40's range. Accounting for the recent volatility and drawing channels incorporating the 'tails' of the daily bars gives a 8.00 support area - though that isn't a usual practice when determining trading trends and channels.

But that is what makes a market, I think one thing and someone is willing to come in at that price based on something else.

It goes against some people's predictions to see $10 bitcoins. Then again it could go over $10 and come back to $7.50. The market has done wierder things (go to $31 then to $2).

I'm tending to think we will pull back some as well. The rush of BFL orders has tapered way off. IMO the jump to 9 was caused by increased BTC demand to preorder ASIC's. As the rate of preorders slows, the price of BTC will pullback.

+1...price will taper off for a while...

We may touch it, but it won't stay that low. There is strong support around 7.9-8.0 and I can only see it going up in the short term. However, 3 weeks is a long ways away.
