I've been trying to read about "safe" "secure" and "mainstream" (lots of people use it, proves it works) ways of buying bitcoin.

What's your opinion Coinbase?  I mention this because I've heard lots of horror stories pop up, even recently regarding hiccups and accounts being wrongfully charged or wrongfully closed, enough for me to think twice.

What do most of you all use?  There's also https://localbitcoins.com but I rather not deal in such ways.

I don't know, any how, what methods do you guys use that you consider reliable? safe?  That you've found relatively "dependable" so to speak?

I've been wanting to mine for years, but waited too long, and then boom!  Now bitcoin has taken off to extreme levels, and we're on the brink of the halving.. thus I at least rather have some then none by now.

Thanks in advance!
According to me the Safest Way of Buying Bitcoin is You can Buy Bitcoins From a Trusted Exchanger as You Said Above Localbitcoins.com Or You can Buy Bitcoins Personally From a Bitcoin Seller...
From the Above Ways I Suggest You to Buy Bitcoins From a Person Because it is Much Safer.....

But I think localbitcoins is much better and safe place to buy and sell bitcoins as they also have an escrow service so the transaction goes risk free and  your money is transferred to your bank account in quick time.

I personally prefer Kraken to buy Bitcoins, they have pretty low fees and I can usually wait for a bit to receive them.
If I'm in a hurry, I usually buy them through Bitonic.nl instantly, but for higher fees.

Coinbase seems to be the best. Well once you get through the initial verification stage. Limits are a bitch though, gotta let your account age before you can buy a whole lot.

im nver use coinbase because coinbase exchanger not avaible in my country.
Im use localbitcoin and bit-X, it's trusted service too.

Buying bitcoins is still risky and expensive and this is a major problem.

You can add purse.io to your list. There you can get bitcoins without ID verification.

Coinbase is a decent option, but they ban accounts used for gambling. Sad
What can make buying bitcoin is risky in this time? What can make buying bitcoin is so expensive in this time? if you're wanna using some of your efforts I think you can moving your bitcoin into the another wallet. and you can doing a gambling for anytime you want it.

I really dont like to give my KYC to some unknown company for just buying some bitcoin. The idea had put me off in the first place. Hence I prefer to buy from my local marketplace where I can get good deals for trading both fiat and bitcoin and also altcoins.

Me too, sometimes  I am not comfortable giving my details to some people. I would prefer to buy or set a buying price in an exchange. Since  I am also in trading, I  can buy anytime from exchanges  and its convenient for because my  money is already on exchanges wallet.

You are on your right to do what you want but in my opinion you are changing a problem for another, the exchanges have proven again and again that are not safe, is possible that a hacker already has the info of a lot of the customers of some of the exchanges that have been hacked

This is why I prefer face to face deals, but obviously these kinds of meetings carry their own problems as well, so we must do whatever we feel more comfortable with

I am not sure if I understand you. How is buying bitcoins risky. There are plenty of reputable exchanges where you can deposit money and buy bitcoins.
Just make sure to withdraw your coins to your hardcore wallet.

I prefer meeting up with someone when buying Bitcoins. The reason is so that he can't scam me since we will be in a public place and if he does anything, I can easily call the guards and catch him. Online, there are some people who can send first but they require that you give them your identity card. Nowadays, your uploaded IDs can be used by some anonymous person to scam other people. Thus, I don't upload my IDs, if he doesn't want to send first without my IDs, then I'll just do meetups.

Xapo remains as the preferred method for me till now for buying bitcoins. In recent times they are adding the feature of having buying price in our local currency. From the beginning days itself they are having the option to buy with credit/debit cards that must be one of the reason I'm still sticking with them.

I prefer buying Bitcoins to other people personally not to some website that asks information about your credit card. What if they decide to hack into your card, you can't assure that that will never happen. I have friends on Facebook to whom I can buy some Bitcoins whenever I want to. They all have plenty of Bitcoins so it'll be no problem if I buy a lot. They sell Bitcoins into load or you can send fiat via cash remittance. Meetups is also possible.

I don't really wanna hide my identity in buying bitcoins because it is required here in our country that once you buy you need to give your full information using my method, I just order in our local exchange and then pay the amount due in their partner business and in less than an hour I have my bitcoins in my account.

Its what you like but I like to buy my bitcoins with localbitcoins, its safe and I can meet up with the person in real life to deal it safe with low fee's.
Its very nice to do it on this and I can also do it with cash than.

Its a good method but I only use it for high amount of bitcoins not for low amounts because that can also just be bought online behind your monitor.
I think that its a nice method but that you should only use it for large amounts and otherwise not.
