Have you heard of Klopp's statement about his future? He stated that this was his last season at Liverpool and he was going to leave his job by the end of the season.

Hearing about this must have really hurt Liverpool fans.  Sad  Because Klopp is having his 9th season there. This is quite a long time period similar to its being Simeone's 13th season at Atletico Madrid. Klopp has achieved really great successes with Liverpool. But it looks like he feels himself exhausted from now on. When he leaves I think Liverpool will try their chance with Xabi Alonso who is also doing great at Leverkusen.  Smiley
Surprising from Klopp for leaving Liverpool and taking a long break - After that there is no country to coach including any club. That means he'll be resting and now he's starting to tire.

Of course I saw some fans on social media expressing their sadness at this being the last season with Klopp, but fans respect that he has won many trophies with Liverpool so the memories will be beautiful as his farewell.
Xabi Alonso has been asked by reporters about a possible offer from Liverpool, but he can't give an answer now, but I'm sure Xabi is a better replacement for Klopp.

Manchester City is a strong team that has its own character so their performance will not decline drastically even if they rotate a lot of players or don't have their mainstay players, and that has been proven by Manchester City.
The victory against Tottenham is not that surprising because in terms of strength the Manchester City team is far superior, especially since the Tottenham team has been in decline in performance in its last few matches.
Pep is an experienced manager; he is always a tactician who knows different ways of getting a good result from every match, unless the opponents have more players than them. Yesterday's match is an example of a never-give-up match. Manchester City kept pushing till the last minutes of the match, and their dedication gave them the victory over Tottenham.

Manchester City and Liverpool are ahead of Arsenal because they are still hoping to win either the FA Cup or the Carling Cup. While Arsenal has already been eliminated in both if these competitions, this will make Arsenal very serious in the Premier League this season because it will be a wasted effort if Arteta finishes this season without winning any trophy.

Do you think he would sack Erik ten Hag soon? Truthfully I don't feel like Erik ten Hag can maintain his job if the placement of the team in the EPL continues to be terrible like now.
I think Manchester United management will definitely evaluate Erik ten Hag position whether he is still worth retaining as coach or not depending on how far Manchester United finishes this season. I'm sure that in the near future Erik ten Hag position as coach still seems safe, but if Manchester United fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, then Erik ten Hag will definitely be fired.
For me, retaining Erik Ten Hag next season is a big mistake made by Manchester United management and MU should think in the long term about what the future of the club will be if they continue to retain a coach who does not have a big influence on MU development.
We have all seen that management has given time to Erik Ten Hag for several seasons but in fact he has not been able to make a contribution while he also always has problems with players such as the case of Jadon Sancho and has also caused MU to lose Ronaldo in the past.
Based on these problems, Manchester United should think about whether Erik Ten is worthy of being MU's coach next season.
I would be more in favor of not giving Erik Ten another chance and looking for a better coach like Mourinho who currently doesn't have a club to coach and MU management could try to make him an offer.

Manchester City's attacking line was missing Haaland due to injury but he is said to be recovering and starting training, so this will sharpen the front line if he returns to play in the main squad including Kevin De Bruyne.
The FA is not the top priority but with this win all the fans have been cheering.

Even though Manchester City didn't have Haaland and De Bruyne couldn't make difference they still managed to be victorious by 1-0.  Smiley

Tottenham were just horrible! They had only 1 goal attempt in the whole game, what a pity! Son was still performing in the AFC Asian Cup now and he might even be there until February 10th. His absence is also really bad for Tottenham. But in this game even if he played he might not have been effective due to poor team play.  Sad

Liverpool are a very good and important team at the moment, and Liverpool have performed well throughout the season. Liverpool most important player at the moment is Mohamed Salah, if Mohamed Salah does not participate in the game, Liverpool team will definitely face danger. Because Mohamed Salah, the most important player in the attacking department, can't do it properly if he doesn't get into the team. No matter how strong Liverpool goalkeepers and defenders are, Liverpool are in danger when their attack department is weak.

Of course Liverpool is one of the best team on this English premier League this season because there good performance is exceptional this season and currently they remain the best on the premier League table with 48 points and Manchester City 43 points actually this season has been one of there best season because they seem very favourd, but the problem they will only have is the absence of Mohammed salah because whichever way we see it there performance will seriously be affected.

Although the luck they have was that they were able to utilize the opportunity they have during there last matches to win the number of matches they did which has given them the amount of points they have now over every other team including Manchester City, so perhaps even if Manchester City will bring them down from the table but it will actually take them time because the points different is much, and however even if there performance is not that good now but I have a strong feeling that there next match against Norwich is actually a win match for Liverpool.

Yes, Manchester United's decline continues because they cannot perform optimally in every match. Manchester United only won 1 win in the last 5 matches and have lost a lot of points, namely 10 points, so it is normal if their position does not improve and if their performance does not immediately if it is corrected, it is not impossible that the ranking will fall further because the clubs below Manchester United have started to catch up and only have a small difference in points so it is possible that these clubs can overtake Manchester United.

I think the management will immediately fire Erik Ten Hag because this coach cannot be expected to advance the Manchester United club because this season Manchester United is really in poor performance, Jose Mourinho could be an option to replace Erik Ten Hag because of this coach still unemployed after being fired by Roma.
Well we’re back to discussing Manchester United again. Well I think yes their performance is declining but I don’t see them going down beyond 10th position on the log because that’s a big team there. Well not like it’s impossible though, it’s very possible especially as they are not in a good shape now. I think the FA Cup match would be a boost to them if they win, they could take that boost to winning subsequent league matches thereby climbing up the log.

They need to be wary of losing points now because they’re having close points or similar points with clubs beneath them and any point loss could result in them going down some more. Well I think ETH job is on the line as they could probably be eyeing Jose, but I don’t think Jose will want to come to a club like Manchester United.

Manchester United's downfall is continuing. After getting very poor results for weeks they have dropped to 8th position. I mean Chelsea started the season much worse but they are right behind the Red Devils by only 1 point.  Smiley

Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed the ownership deal with Manchester United on December 24, 2023. Since then there isn't much change in Manchester United's form. It has been only a month though so I really wonder his actions in the future. Do you think he would sack Erik ten Hag soon? Truthfully I don't feel like Erik ten Hag can maintain his job if the placement of the team in the EPL continues to be terrible like now.

Excited about this upcoming game! Both Liverpool and Chelsea bring class, flair, and the true essence of football to their fans. Liverpool has a good chance of winning if their key players are available, but it won't be a walk in the park. Interestingly, Chelsea tends to perform well against Liverpool but often ends up with a draw or a loss. As a football fan, I hope this time the outcome will different. I won't jump to congratulate Liverpool just yet; matchday scenarios can always bring surprises.
Yes sure, Derby London is always showing us the tight competition to reach the top in England. So far Liverpool is still the favorite to win because their performance this season is quite good and stable when compared with Chelsea. But when we look on the last game, Liverpool seemed hard to defeat Fulham, it was different with Chelsea, they looked confident to beat Middlesbrough 6-1. Yes, there might be a surprise, we don't know what next, maybe Chelsea will fight with all one's might because only this match for their hope.

Chelsea and Aston villa, Chelsea is missing their chance of winning the match and I taught that before now that Aston villa will even score Chelsea before now due to their performance already starting from this match, so what I was expecting from the match is goal goal but no goal has being scored and secondly I was even thinking that Chelsea will not get draw in this match, what I seen here is showing me that this match is already draw, because its already getting to an end, and assuming Aston villa defeated Chelsea now they would have clamped up in table

These are exactly my thoughts, but why did Ceferin suddenly make this attack towards the City? How to explain this? If we talk formally, then the City can sue him for damage to its business reputation and all that. Therefore, these events encourage me and allow me to dream a little about how City will be punished and this will break the actual history of the Premier League (Solskjaer’s gold with United! Ahahahaha!). Theoretically, if all the other clubs in the league feel cheated (and they have every reason to believe so), then they can punish City, regardless of how City managed to evade punishment from UEFA.
City been affected by FFP seems really impossible because they’re heavily backed with oil money and that’s backings outside the nation. So the Saudis won’t want to dent their name thereby they wouldn’t mind spending behind closed doors to avoid the FFP, they've got the funds and would do everything possible to avoid deduction of points like Everton, so as to win the trophy this season.

Another side to the story is what if they were just one of these teams to fall victim of cheap blackmail by a Journalist. Well if that’s the cast, then I think they’ve got every right to sue the journalist for trying to spoil the name of the club. In all I think FFP should be more serious when investigating a matter and should try to be neutral amd charge anyone found guilty no matter the caliber of persons involved.

There's no change that happened immediately, you'll have to wait until they resume next week fully back to the Premier League Competition against Wolverampton which I believe will be a hard game for them yet again.

Manchester United and Chelsea are no doubts two poor sides so far and has taken forever before they bounce back to the top for good. Meanwhile Manchester United jas nothing clearly to boast of this season, Chelsea has the Carabao Cup Competition finals ahead next month. A good chance to see them winning against Liverpool and also Pochetino Mauricio winning a trophy for the first time. I hope they do through coz they've suffered from last season and this very season.

Salah plays an important role in all Liverpool matches. Salah not only scored goals, but he also provided assists and opened up space for other Liverpool players. Without Salah, of course Klopp has to change the strategy and tactics of their game because there is no player who can replace Salah's role at Liverpool. I think Salah will miss Liverpool's two important EPL matches, namely against Chelsea and Arsenal. And I can say that their chances of winning decreased when Salah was injured.

I doubt it honestly because there is no way Liverpool performance can be compare with Chelsea when it has become obvious that Chelsea is very inconsistent on this season while Liverpool has been able to have been leading the premier League, so if perhaps Chelsea was better than Liverpool on this premier League they would have been leading the table instead of Liverpool.

Agreed. Liverpool and Chelsea look technically no match in performance now. They got a draw against each other at Stamford Bridge before though. But it was the 1st week of the season at the same time. It isn't sensible to make assumptions from that week as a result.

But Salah won't be able to play against Chelsea in their upcoming duel - which is only 6 days away. This changes things a lot as Salah is a crucial member of the team. I think Liverpool might have more problems on scoring multiple goals depending on Chelsea's defense.

What do you think?

Yes, it is very bad to competen at home, even twice almost losing its reputations when play against Bremen, finally Bayern lost point and yesterday when playing against Union, it was very clears that the club was very weak at the moments but Bayern Munich was unable to scores in big number and even almost finish draws.
The only questions is where is the performances of Harry Kane and the other players?
It's very strange that Bayern Munich doesn't have problems with players and looks fine, but somehow Bayern Munich is experiences a very deeps decline in performances and it is necessary to ask why this club is so bad.
For Bayer Leverkusen, it seem that they are very enthusiastic and have the desire to survive and lead the Bundesliga until the end of the season, but I'am worried that Leverkusen will lose their consistency because it is impossible for a club to survive undefeated until the end the seasons.

What do you think about Ceferin's statement "We know we were right"?

Quote
Aleksander Ceferin insists UEFA ‘knew we were right’ over allege Financial Fair Play breaches by Manchester City.

City were banned from the Champions League for two seasons and fined £25m in January 2020 after they were found to have seriously misled UEFA and broken Financial Fair Play rules.

However, the Court of Arbitration overturned the ban seven months later and reduced the fine to £10m.

But City have faced similar charges on domestic grounds, with the Premier League finding 115 breaches in February 2023 that spanned over nine seasons.
https://metro.co.uk/2024/01/24/man-city-premier-league-charges-uefa-knew-right-champions-league-ban-says-aleksander-ceferin-20162943/

When an official of such a high level makes such statements, it means that he already approximately knows how the matter will end. Will the Premier League really be able to punish City for cheating? Sounds incredible, but maybe it's time to punish the real scammers and not Everton?
I would like to see how City will be seriously punished: they will take away their titles and send them to the Championship.
And suddenly it turns out that Solskjaer with United were able to achieve gold!  Grin

City is still having another chance to turn back the sanction. I will not even expect city to get big sanctions caused by that. The reason why it will not be a problem for the city is that the club is always financially supported by oil money, which acts as a protective shield against any potential major sanctions that may come their way.

It sounds impossible to punish city and money has protected it from any of serious sanction is going to be received by manchester city. City will be sanctioned but court of arbitration will help it again.

This is just another similar pattern repeated. Nothing surprise if i will see city to get light sanctions.

These are exactly my thoughts, but why did Ceferin suddenly make this attack towards the City? How to explain this? Arsenal fans must have really missed the times with players like Henry.  Smiley  Because those times were the brightest for this team. Since then I don't remember a single Premier League title achieved by Arsenal... The last time they won this title was in the 2003/04 season. It has been 20 years since then, time flies.  Sad

Now Arteta has a big responsibility. Maybe the board wasn't expecting Arsenal to improve this much when they first brought him. However Arsenal can't still reach the championship.

Like I said they would really benefit from having some more experienced players with a leader character. Signing a player such as Mbappe would also change things a lot but I wouldn't expect Mbappe to choose Arsenal while there are better alternatives.
Arsenal are really now turning to a team that’s dependent on past glory as the last time they got the EPL title is over 20 Years ago and not just that, you can see how they get eliminated from the FA Cup which they’ve got the highest, they get eliminated so fast and quick which is unlike the Arsenal of old. Mikel Arteta has got some muh a task to do with this Arsenal team, especially as yes he’s improved the way the team is shaped and have also taken them back to the UCL. Now he’s got a challenge of winning the league and this seems much a heavy task for him.

I think he’ll need a big name addition to this squad and if you’re thinking Mbappé, I think you’ve got to think well because I don’t think Arsenal will have that amount of money to spend on him and besides Arsenal are a building project and Mbappé needs an already established project where he’ll easily fit in and get the European titles he needs.
