I don't think there's anything wrong with Arsenal hoping that Manchester City loses or draws in the last match against West Ham. The reason is that the possibility of Manchester City losing still exists, even though the possibility is small. Therefore, it is natural that Arsenal is still holding out hope before finding out the results of Manchester City's last match. Maybe if you look at the opponents that Manchester City will face this week, namely West Ham. Of course, head to head or performance, Manchester City is clearly superior. However, it could be that in this match, West Ham will provide an unexpected surprise for all of us. The reason is that in previous matches, West Ham was sometimes able to put up very tough resistance against very strong teams. For example, against Liverpool, in that match West Ham managed to hold a draw with a score of 2-2. Apart from that, when facing Leverkusen in the Europa League quarter-finals, West Ham also managed to hold Leverkusen to a draw in the second leg with a score of 1-1. So, if you look closely, it could be that in the match against Manchester City, West Ham was also able to provide very tough resistance, so that Manchester City was able to be held to a draw or defeated.
Arsenal had several opportunities to be at the forefront of the league table but they misused it and now they are looking for a miracle which is impossible because Tottenham that they depended on to either win or draw Manchester city have already lost and gave City advantage to win the league trophy so they shouldn't hope that Man city will lose to Westham because that is impossible considering that Westham is not even in form and since the season is coming to an end there will be no need for Westham to stress Their self at all so Manchester city will surely be crowned champions and the reason why I'm angry with Arsenal is that this is the second time in two seasons that they will be losing the premier league title to Manchester city after they started the season on a very good note. They won't be this lucky again next season because most of their players will lose their morale thereby might not be too forward again in giving their best for the team.
Apart from that, it is true that this season Arsenal's focus has been slightly diverted by playing in the Champions League. That's why Arsenal lost to Aston Villa which made Arsenal's fate what it is today. Maybe if at that time Arsenal could win against Aston Villa, now Arsenal doesn't need to wait for the results of the Manchester City match, of course, Arsenal only needs to focus on winning their last match against Everton. However, what happened is in the past, now Arsenal's fate in winning the Premier League is determined by the result of Manchester City's match against West Ham.
I don't believe that the champions league distracted Arsenal because between the champions league and the premier League which amongst them would have been more easy for Arsenal to focus on, isn't it the premier league that they have a better chance of winning because when we talk about the champions league there are bigger teams than Arsenal that Arsenal wouldn't even have defeated, had it been Arsenal won Bayern Munich and face Real Madrid would they have won Madrid? So it's just laziness and lack of focus and concentration that made them lose to Aston Villa. The three matches that Arsenal lost carelessly which are the match against Westham, Fulham and Aston Villa were the matches that kept them in this situation they find theirself now so they should bear the consequences of not taking those matches seriously.
