Anyway, Chelsea sometimes plays well at home when they are facing a top club, so Chelsea tries to look good even though they don't really dominate the ball, but Chelsea manages to play smart tactics and can keep the defense strong enough when Tottenham tries to take a lot of shots and Chelsea doesn't give opportunity for Tottenham to score a goal, Chelsea managed to get 3 important points to continue to improve its position which is in 8th place, now the difference between Chelsea and 6th place is only 3 points and if Chelsea maintains a good record by continuing to win then Chelsea has a chance to finish in 6th position but with the hope that Manchester United will make a mistake in the remaining 1 match, perhaps when they face Arsenal later.

Tottenham Hotspur wasted a good chance to reduce gap with Aston Villa and with this defeat, they nearly lose that race. Chelsea with this win, are participating in the race to the sixth position that is temporarily hold by Manchester United. This race for the sixth position is interesting because there are three clubs in the race, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Chelsea with their points are 54, 53 and 51.

Manchester United and Chelsea don't have good goal difference and if two or three clubs have same total points, the advantage will go to Newcastle United with goal difference is 19, while Manchester United and Chelsea only have 1 and 6 in their goal differences.

Tottenham were only able to dominate the match but they did not have the opportunity to score a goal, on the other hand Chelsea managed to take advantage of the opportunity and were able to score two goals. Defeat against Chelsea is also very detrimental because the opportunity to catch Aston Villa is now increasingly remote.
Now Tottenham will be increasingly under pressure where they will be chased by Manchester United if they fail to win the next match. Only six points away from Manchester United and Tottenham must be really consistent in the remaining matches if they want to qualify for the European league.

Look at the match statistics, it's clear that Tottenham Hotspur are really causing problems at Stamford Bridge, but what makes me confused is that they couldn't score a single goal. So what should we call this Chelsea win? luck? or is it really a good win from a good performance?

Then regarding the standings, there's no longer a place for Chelsea to play in European competition next season, the points gap is too big.

As long as chelsea known so well how to defend from totenham's attack and it can have very big chance to win against it. that's pretty much the same like when chelsea was winning against arsenal. The key is the momentum after totenham failed with its attack. I meant that if totenhamw as very often in using highline defensive.
This puts club to take the risk by going upfront. Any failed attack will put totenham into the big risk getting counter attacked by its opponent. We know that chelsea has one of quickest counter attack this season. This can be an opportunity for the blues to beat it.

Totenham never changes its strategy and i totally aware about this too. that's why im calling that as long as totenham use the same strategy. chelsea has a very big chanec to win against it.
Totenham is strong with offensive strategy but high line defensive has become the biggest mistake by ange. he never tries to fix this horrible strategy that cost club a lot of points.

If we look at the H2H statistics for Tottenham vs Chelsea, indeed, it is not quite impressive because after all, Chelsea is above Tottenham, regarding the number of wins. However, I was actually a bit surprised by the results, to be honest, I didn't watch it this time. But I think Tottenham will win. This is probably an overthinking thing and I'm already too disappointed with the performance and results of the match with Chelsea, that's what I feel. But indeed, lately, Tottenham has been playing very badly, they haven't even had a win in the last 3 matches, only a red mark.

The truth is that; even if Arsenal didn’t lose their match against Aston Villa, with the number of big teams they’ve played and will be playing since then, it’s not a certain that they’ll win all the matches although a win in that could have keep their morale high and want to win the league title. They had their chances and let it slipped by, if Manchester City do the same, Arsenal could be lucky for a league trophy but I doubt such is going to happen now again.


Cole Palmer is now the new Hazard of Chelsea. He has been playing brilliantly well this season and have take part in most of the wins Chelsea have achieved this season. He is a great player and would likely bring Chelsea back to their winning ways and glorious days in the league. As usual, I can’t remember when last Tottenham Hotspur won Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they still didn’t allow that record to break today and this will be a proud game for the fans and entire team management. I only hope they can keep up with the good performance because they’re very unpredictable this season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are two teams that's hard to predict their performance and you can imagine the consequences of playing against each other..
The consequences of this defeat for Spurs will be severe since the last ticket for UEFA Champions League next season is going to Aston Villa since they are only 5 points from securing it regardless of Tottenham Hotspur remaining results.
In the other hand, Spurs should stop their bad record and start winning or else Manchester United could catch them..

Chelsea will always dominate Tottenham Hotspur without any significant trace. There's no way Tottenham Hotspur would have thrashed Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It was an impossible mission for spurs and Ange Postecoglou have spent another midweek without accumulating three winning points. On the other hand, Chelsea have good players that have been well trained to absorbed presure, more importantly Cole Palmer was essential for the progress and played a major role in Chelsea victory.

Exactly, part of Tottenham’s problem was right there on the sideline, working with the opposition team and that is Pochettino. It always comes down to trying to beat your formal team and this is a team he lead for way too long and have got every players style of play in his playbook. There was only one  or two ways this game could go and none of that involved Chelsea losing. It was going to be a win for Chelsea or they would draw the game. Good enough Chelsea managed to win, it was indeed deserving.
I was impressed with Cole Palmer, he didn’t score a goal today but, his impact in trying to go forward always and accurate passes was very present in the game. He’s such a strong force for Chelsea.

I will have to disagree with some of your points, yes it was a bad night for Tottenham Hot spur once again but i wasn’t too surprised because In their last 15 matches with Chelsea they have managed to win only once which shows the superiority of Chelsea in the London derby. Chelsea today also played well than in their previous games knowing full well that a loss today will have ended their hopes of any European football next season. This win today now sets them on the verge of qualifying for at least the Conference league.

As for your convictions that Tottenham will lose against Liverpool just because they have lost against Chelsea i will say it doesn’t work that way. A team can get trashed this weekend by a lower club and still go out the next match to win against the best team in the league. Check Chelsea for instance they almost did a double against city but couldn’t win against a 10 man bottom club Burnley, that’s football. I expect Tottenham to be at their best against Liverpool and possibly Manchester city to cement their position for the European football next season

Chelsea had a brilliant performance this evening and playing from home was a well utilized advantage of which I think they have been able to utilize to the fullest as they have been able to get victory over their opponent this evening and then I think this winning aren't really doing much for Chelsea than just helping them try to see if they could finish in a much better position the. They are currently because they had been in a poor finishing position.

I was actually surprised that Chelsea was able to have such a performance against Tottenham, a team that was actually a problem to many of the elite teams but are now getting to appear much weaker against Chelsea who happens to be an average team since this season, I had expected bother team to have had a difficult game and possibly such that they may actually end in a goal or Tottenham will be able to get a goal by the end of the game but then it turned out that they were unable to even get a goal against Arsenal and are now at the  fifth position.

Tottenham didn't playe too badly actually but then I had expected they will be able to maintain a spot att he top four but it's sad to note that they are most definitely not going to be able to get to the top four because they have been unable to win the few games remaining to the end of the season but then they are more likely to finish att he fifth position on the table.

I never expected this losing from Tottenham Hotspur because considering their last meeting with Chelsea I was thinking their would be a difference on this match because they had a red card the last time they meet Chelsea which helped Chelsea to win Tottenham Hotspur but losing again shows that it has become crystal clear that even if Chelsea is not in a good shape but their performance is far more impressive than Tottenham Hotspur.

Actually Tottenham Hotspur needs to work on their team because if they come back next season with this kind of form they will even go far the way they did on this season, however they still have another tough match next against Liverpool and is very obvious that since they are not able to win Chelsea that's of the same performance with them their is no way they will stand a chance against Liverpool on their next match so perhaps is going to be an easy three points for Liverpool.

 I don't really know what to say in defense of Tottenham Hotspur's loss to Chelsea tonight; whether they are still reeling from the defeat to their North London rivals, Arsenal or they are reserving their energy for the big game against Liverpool on Sunday. The crazy thing's that if they could not defeat Chelsea or at least get a point at the Stamford bridge, I wonder how they will cope against a very desperate team like Liverpool who would be looking to salvage something of their chances at winning the title.
 In that game it was surprising to see how coordinated and controlled the Blues where especially as we know how they can seem intact one minute and in the next, become so confused and disoriented.
Maintaining ball possession and also poaching the enemy's defense is not something Chelsea are really good at( or maybe they are but choose most times to play like a very inexperienced team) but today was different and I'm thinking it's the way they went all out that got them not just three points but a clean sheet.
 This win see them being another club to beat a team home and away and I just hope it doesn't end like this for them, but rather they continue pushing harder, who knows they can make it to the Europa conference league next season.

Chelsea have formerly disappointed in games that were expected them to win so I would not have been surprised if they had lost this game today to Tottenham Hotspur. I'm wondering what will happen if the Chelsea coach goes on to win all the remaining Chelsea games and end this season on a very good note for Chelsea, will he be allowed to continue with his job and be giving a contract extension? If the owners of Chelsea can let him have one more season, maybe he will be able to secure a champions League qualification spot for Chelsea next season or even compete to win the league.

I don’t also expect Tottenham to win Chelsea easily despite Chelsea’s inconsistency because statistically, Chelsea is a better side than Tottenham and for the fact that Tottenham is not in good form this time compared to the beginning of the season, and Chelsea despite their inconsistency also tried against almost all the big teams. I was expecting a draw in the match because Tottenham is looking for way to qualify to the Champion League next season, but at the end, Chelsea won the match which move them to the eight position, and this win as given them more hope of qualifying to the Europa League.

Tottenham is always an average team despite their seriousness in the beginning of every season, they don’t have quality coach and players that can win them a trophy; they only play for fun and entertainment that’s why they take seasons without even a community shield trophy.

Chelsea is one of the finest club with incredible performance, they're special and always keen on accumulating brilliant results. Chelsea winning was expected by every one that totally understands the stats of elite teams and football. Chelsea thrashed them 4-1 in their previous meetings and this time they faced them at Stamford Bridge which happens to be one of the tough matches for Spurs that are not in form. Ange Postecoglou did try but I guess his best was not good enough.
