I don't think this is surprising because as far as the match went Newcastle played quite well and solidly compared to Tottenham. If you look at the previous matches, Tottenham were indeed much better than Newcastle, but I saw that in this match Newcastle played quite neatly and connected with each other on the field, so they could take advantage of the slightest opportunity to score goals. In fact, Tottenham did not play well on the front lines and they always failed to take advantage of the opportunities to score goals.

It is so surprising to see the end of the match and see that Newcastle defeated Tottenham 4-0 at the moment that Tottenham is fighting for the top four in the table so that can qualify for the next season's champions league. honestly, I did not expect such a defeat from Newcastle towards Tottenham in today's match. From even their recent form, it is clear that Tottenham is in better shape than Newcastle, so I wonder how Tottenham conceded these four goals without even scoring one goal. That is really a bad performance by Tottenham. Now in this their defeat, it is hardly that Tottenham can make the top four this season again because it looks like their remaining games will be with tough opponents. 

It turns out that Man City has quite a difficult time facing opponents who play defensive football. They did have some good chances, it's just that Man City didn't have a good enough finishing touch in the first half. Besides that, Luton's goalkeeper also played quite impressively tonight. It was recorded that he made 2 brilliant saves which thwarted Man City's chances.

It seemed like Luton was only hoping for a counterattack, which was ineffective in the first half because they didn't get that chance at all. If in the second half, Luton continues to play the same strategy, I think this match could end with a score of 1-0 or 2-0.

@Spaceman1000$ no one is writing off Luton team we are just stating the obvious which is what is already at play in the just concluded first half of this game between Manchester City vs Luton. If you been watching the game all through the first half the ball has been played in Luton's defensive front all the 45 minutes and for a game as this it can only take a massive stroke of luck for Luton not to lose this match by probably getting a comeback and draw this game as both teams returns for the second half.

But I doubt Luton can turn things around against this Manchester city team that are one of the most richly constructed team in the English Premier League. City are pressuring and holding possession in this game I think they need to make more penetrative passes in Luton defense in the second half to earn them more goals to seal their three points from this game while waiting to see what the outcome of their top contenders for the title will be by tomorrow.

Newcastle United are really crazy today after in the last few games very difficult to win games, but today they actually made Tottenham Hotspur like a mediocre team that can't do much, I'm pretty sure if we here no one expected before if Newcastle United be able to win big, especially we know most of their main players are injured and make their performances inconsistent,  But today we actually saw Tottenham Hotspur, who was favored because it was able to shift Aston Villa's position in the top 4 before, was Destroyed today.

Newcastle's victory today is certainly a warning for other teams that might be the next victims of Newcastle United, with today's big victory, Newcastle climbed to sixth place in the Premier League standings with 50 points, and even now Newcastle United managed to shift the position of Westham and Manchester United, while Tottenham who lost actually made them now stuck in fourth place with 60 points.
I think at the moment Tottenham Hotspur still has a chance to end the season in the Champions League zone, because currently Tottenham Hotspur only has a goal difference from Aston Villa so that the two teams will compete fiercely for the last position of the Champions League zone next season.

Tottenham played into the tactical trap of Eddie Howe. The Newcastle coach knew that Alexander Isak was pacy which made him play defensively and wait for Tottenham to be dispossessed of the ball. Wow, what a surprise! Newcastle United put on an absolutely outstanding performance. I didn't see that coming from Newcastle United today.
Tottenham started the season strong and were feeling on top, but couldn't maintain it. I remember when Spurs won a few games and thought it would be their season. If they manage to finish 6th, it will be a much bigger achievement for Eddie than last season's 4th place, especially considering the number and duration of injured players.

City's goal was a bit of a lucky goal, Haaland didn't score in the first position facing the goalkeeper, but then he shot in a more difficult position, not really well but the ball hit Hashioka and it was an own goal. Manchester City are playing as I predicted, they are in no hurry, they are already 1-0 up and that's how the first half ends. Luton Town can't even get a shot off. City will score the second goal to avoid any danger and relax. They should have taken 3 points from such a match. Arsenal and Liverpool shouldn't expect City to lose points in a match like this.

This is quite surprising, that Newcastle can win easily against Tottenham, which incidentally has a better ranking and performance than Newcastle. Tottenham dominated the game but they seemed to have difficulty creating opportunities. While Newcastle can really take advantage of every opportunity they get. Bournemouth vs Manchester United

Indeed if we see based on head to head statistics and squad quality obviously Manchester United is much better than Bournemouth but if we compared to recent performance between them Bournemouth is clearly better than Manchester United this because in the last 6 matches in Premier League Bournemouth only lost once and gets 4 wins but last week surprisingly Bournemouth was lost from weak team Luton and for Manchester United since they beat Liverpool at FA Cup Manchester United never tasted the winning results again because the latest is Manchester United lost from Chelsea and draw against Brentford

Manchester United still facing unfavourable situations because at their squad at least 8 players who got injured and the injured was still dominate by defender players and for Bournemouth Marcus Tavernier and Antoine Semenyo will be doubtful to played but Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert will be ready to played today and i think Manchester United should beware of Dominic Solanke because this player currently as Bournemouth top scores in Premier League and recently i have checked the odds and a bit surprised Bournemouth status a bit favourite compared to Manchester United and i know this is risky bets but there is a chance for Bournemouth will be the winner of this match and Bournemouth win has odds @2.43

Spurs had one of their worst defeat today since Ange Postecoglou took over management of the club. Nothing Spurs tried seemed to work and Postecoglou made some terrible substitute options. I mean, why taking Son and Maddison off? I get it with him having to bring on Johnson and Kulusevski but, rather than take out Son, these guys needed to be on field to find a rhythm and attempt a come back. It was so tiring to watch Spurs going on the offensive and each time, Newcastle wins the 50:50 ball challenge.
The Spurs defense was another place of error in the game, being caught off guard every time, leaving Vicario exposed and Newcastle United made good use of every one on one or free header advantage to count on goals. Spurs was just off today.

With this big win, Newcastle United jump above Manchester United and Chelsea with two more matches in their hands, actually can create additional pressure on Manchester United too. Newcastle United started this season badly, were silently and not noisy like Manchester United, but now their position starts to become better.

Tottenham now is like Liverpool, with same total points like Arsenal but have to stand below their competitors because of worse goal differences. Chances are still opened for both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur but they have to depend on performances of Arsenal and Aston Villa next matches. Premier League this season are very exciting from title race to top four race.

Newcastle really didn't give Tottenham a chance to score even though Tottenham controlled more of the ball than the home team themselves. This has provided a very valuable lesson for Tottenham today that holding the ball in a greater percentage is also no guarantee for a team to get an easy win at their opponent's home ground.

I also think like that because Aston Villa and Tottenham have now both collected 60 points, which is if Manchester United can win at home to Bournemouth. This will reduce the point gap between the two teams in the standings so that it will provide a good opportunity for Manchester United to continue to get closer to the top four in the standings this season.

Tottenham Hotspur have created more chances for Aston Villa to take over the fourth, if it's one goal to nothing i would have blame them but the four goals to nothing is really a setback for Tottenham because they still have tough matches to play, Manchester city, Arsenal and Liverpool which are the strongest teams currently that are competing for the title, the goals they conceded really affected them to the extent of dropping them from fourth down to fifth, their performance has dropped drastically to my own view, i feel disappointed by their defeat.

I have much belief that Manchester City will win this game, and again, the three points are Manchester City's , and with the low performance of Luton, I think I can't do anything to gain any point from the match, so I am expecting Manchester City to win this match with easy efforts. As you said, Manchester City players need to avoid injuries because they have a tough Champions League return match to play on Wednesday against Real Madrid, which we are aware that both teams have equal chances to win the game. It is a Manchester City home game, and they may have little home advantage, but on the normal side, the first leg ends in a draw,  which means both teams have equal opportunity.



Despite the fact that Luton is not in form, let us not underestimate them that much. The Manchester City second squad may be better than the Luton first squad, but trust me, it will not be that easy for the Manchester City full squad team to defeat Luton. We really see what happens in their first leg. When some of Manchester City key players really found it difficult to win in the first leg, it was even lucky that Manchester City used to win the game.
