It's actually true that Manchester city is still a very formidable side wether Erling halaand and kelvin de bruyne plays or not but I really do think that is only applied on the lower opposition, no disrespect to Aston villa, but the are not a top side, in as much as they are fourth in the table, if am not mistaken, and Manchester city have what it takes in their ranks to put away team like Aston villa regardless of the presence of haaland or kelvin de bruyne.

But against the bigger boys, they actually need the bigger players like kelvin de bruyne and Erling halaand for the bigger occasions, and of a truth, they will definitely struggle against the bigger teams especially when those players are absent, though it's a very moral busting win, which they will take into their fixtures against real madrid.

I feel like Manchester City has transformed their game without Haaland and De Bruyne. Foden has vastly improved his skills since the Champions League final. Pep Guardiola is reshaping his team's play style now, so Haaland and De Bruyne need some time to adapt to the new strategy, especially coming back from injury and needing time to recover.

Foden has been proving himself for several times that he deserves more play time than Haaland. Not that Haaland is not good enough but the dude is allowing the media hype to get in his head so much. At first, I doubted whether they will deliver especially when the score was 1-1 but it is obvious Man city play much better without a traditional striker like Haaland this days. You see how everyone were so free not looking to anyone to score or searching for Haaland to pass to. I still wonder why Pep benched both Foden and Alvarez when city played against Arsenal. That yesterday line up is good for big games because teams already know Haaland and they keep focus on him but starting Alvarez will cause them some distraction.

You're absolutely right about the depth of Manchester City. Its really something special. They win games even without their biggest stars: Haaland, De Bruyne. Amazing performance from Phil Foden against Aston Villa, fantastic hat trick. Proves my point, its the depth that makes City dangerous. Someone always steps up, the team just works.

However, the best players make a difference in the biggest games. De Bruyne, Haaland, those are your stars for a reason. Real Madrid is an entirely different challenge. Thats the Champions League, thats where we'll see if they've got what it takes. Foden and the rest...they need to bring their best. Thats football - players stepping up when it counts. If City does that, maybe they can surprise us all.

Seeing the performance of phil foden it's no strange that he won the player of the matches and the dude is just enjoying himself on the pitch, gaining more composure in from of the goal post and it's sharp to know that with or without hellen halland, more goal will continue coming in favor of the city side.

The gap between Man United and Spurs is 9 points now (+1 for Spurs with their last draw result). Although it is a big gap but if Man United want to keep the chance to take the 5th position, they should try to beat Chelsea and earn 3 points so the gap will be smaller (6 points). If it will happen, Man United's chance to qualify for the Europa League will still open because there are still 8 matches to go till the end of the season. However, bookmakers seems to be putting Chelsea as the favorite in this match, odds for Chelsea is about 1.85 while odds for United is about 3.6. Those who like to take a risk, betting on United is a high risk but of course a high return as well.
