It is very narrow difference and the season is still long enough to see flip between two candidates for a few times. The recovery and strong return of Kevin De Bruyne gives Pep Guardiola and Manchester City a very powerful attacking support. Maybe Kevin will not be able to play in a full match too soon because he just came back but Pep can choose necessary time to send Kevin in and make big changes in important matches. With time, Kevin will adapt to matches and will have increase total minutes he can play in each match.

Liverpool has an advantage against Manchester City, they won't have to play in Champions League and can focus more on Premier League. Hopefully it will help Liverpool to win Premier League to break a domination of Manchester City. It's worth to remind that last six seasons, only Liverpool took over the trophy from Manchester City.

You are right, Manchester United often conceded which means there are weaknesses in the defense but somehow they haven't tried to find alternatives in this transfer window, we don't know whether the reason is because they do not have a budget or have not found the right player. The most embarrassing is Manchester United scored 24 goals while conceding 29 goals which is clear this weakness will be a loss for Manhester United. Currently Manchester is in Position 7 and still need more effort to compete to the top 5 or Manchester United will pass this season without European competition.
