Today, Manchester City won the match dramatically. Newcastle took a 2-1 lead in the first half where a beautiful goal scored by Bernardo Silva was answered by two goals by Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon. Since then Manchester City have found it really difficult to penetrate Newcastle's tight and disciplined defence, but De Bruyne came on and made a difference.

Manchester City, who played without their best striker, basically created lots of goal and shot opportunities, but Newcastle's tight defense meant that Manchester City failed to score a goal. Manchester City's 2 additional goals were scored by De Bruyne and Oscar Bobb, but Manchester City had to pay dearly for this victory because their best goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes, was injured at the start of the match.

De Bruyne really made a huge impact on the game right after he entered.    I don't even know why Guardiola didn't start with him because the game could have been easier than this for them. I don't know maybe Guardiola didn't want to risk him right away as he has just returned from his injury. But this was a tough game on paper so De Bruyne was really needed.  

Ederson's injury was really unfortunate. If he didn't get injured maybe he could have shown a better performance than Ortega. But still Manchester City were very effective in offense to make up for their weakness. Eddie Howe did his best but the best he could do was this.

Erling Haaland is one of the most prolific footballers in the world and if for any reason he returns to the club, Manchester City are gonna be a complete team once again. Today against Newcastle, City were trailing to the home sides quick first half goals but immediately Kelvin De Bruyne who has been injured since the start of the season was introduced, he changed the result of the game by scoring the equalizer and assisting the winner. So if Haaland returns again to the club, Manchester City without doubt are gonna be tearing teams apart and probably repeat their feat of last season by winning another treble

Kevin De Bruyne should be the man of thee match, you could see how vital he is to the club, it's also a clear message to the Premier League Competition that he is currently back from Injury all he needs right now is Erling Haaland so they could make history once again in the Premier League.

Josep Pep Guardiola was super excited, so far Eddie Howe hasn't been able to take the lead against Pep Guardiola for too long, they had the chance but screwed up.

Newcastle of this season is not competitive compared to Newcastle of last season, their performance so far this season is not impressive at all in all competition; they were eliminated in the Champions League, and now they are out of top 8 teams in the Premier League this season, I am not expecting them do qualify for UEFA Champions League or even Europa League this season because there are other teams like Aston Villa, Brighton, Tottenham, and even West Ham United that will be willing to qualify for Europa League and Champions League, meanwhile we have Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United , and Even Chelsea that are also there willing to make it to the Champions League next season either, therefore, the competition will be very intense and if Newcastle keep on playing this way, they might not even qualify to play UEFA Conference League.

People talking about the game between Fulham and Cheslea and they think Cheslea had a good performance against Fulham because of won the match against this team but that's not right and Cheslea awful performance but was just lucky because even Pochettino the coach of Chelsea said they had lucky enough because their player, Malo Gusto didn't get the red card in this match.

De Bruyne has had a big influence on the overall performance of the Man City team. And once again De Bruyne also proved that he is still one of the best there. In just the 21 minutes he played he was able to make 1 goal and 1 assist. Which means he contributed to the 2 goals scored by Man City in that match.

Man City seemed to have rediscovered the rhythm of play they had had since the second half. Meanwhile, in the first half they still hadn't found that rhythm. Newcastle in this match also did not disappoint. In fact I think they fought beyond my expectations of them. Even when Man City got the first goal in the 26th minute by B.Silva, it turned out that Newcastle was able to turn things around in the 35th and 37th minutes thanks to goals scored by Isak and A. Gordon which made Newcastle safe in the first half.

But still the difference in performance is clearly visible in this match. Man City made an effective game and if Haaland returns then I am even more confident that Man City will not be defeated again.

Yeah including me I felt disappointed with there level of poor defense on the first half, although they started very well on the first half by scoring Newcastle United at the 26 minutes of the match but because of there inconsistency Newcastle United was able to equalize the goal on 35 minutes and it was not upto 5 minutes after there first goal and they scored Manchester City another goal making it 2-1 against Manchester City and at that time I became surprise because I never expected such inconsistent from Manchester City on this match considering the kind of quality and experience players they have and how they can never be compare with Newcastle United in times of performance and they almost lost the match if not that they were able to take challenge almost at the ending time of the match and they were able to equalize at the 74 minute and still take advantage of the extra time and win Newcastle United.

I heard from a friend before the match that this is "the great oil war"

Man City vs NEWCASTLE brought a very exciting and emotional match, I was looking forward to De Bruyne's return. He brought pressure to the midfield extremely effectively. Actually, after equalizing 2 - 2, I was really expecting that Man City would come back, and in the injury time of the second half, he made his mark with a great assist. This was a good match, and with De Bruyne's great assist, perhaps the rest of the tournament will see Man City's strength increase a lot.

The man is just an excellent midfield Mysterio and his coming back will definitely make an exception to the team performance, imagine playing only 21 minutes and having so much impact in the game. I think I will start playing Manchester city with a lot more confident because of his appearance because I believe their game will be up at high ratio.

Pep Guardiola is really skilled at strategizing in today match where he did not use Kevin de Bruyne as a starter in today match. And it was proven that this strategy worked perfectly because Kevin managed to perform quite well when he came on as a substitute in the 69th minute. He only needed 5 minutes to score a goal in this match as well as equalizing the score with the goal he scored in the 74th minute. Even for Bobb he also did the same thing where he entered in the 82nd minute and was able to score a goal in the final minute of the match which also sealed the victory in this match.

This victory is certainly very meaningful for Manchester City and also for Kevin De Bruyne because in the second half of the season they started quite well by winning which enabled Manchester City to move up to 2nd place in the standings. So, if you look at Manchester City revival in the last few matches, they will automatically be able to return to leading the standings.

I agree with you, Manchester City played a very nice football against Newcastle United, but Manchester City where finding it hard to score goals in the second half. When Kevin De Bruyne entered the match, he changed the game and managed to score a goal and assisted Bobb to give Manchester City the lead in extra time.

Manchester City vs Newcastle United

Manchester City won the match with Newcastle United 3-2 in tonight's match. However, Manchester City was trailing 2-1 against Newcastle United in the first halftime game. Truly a dramatic and tense match. Even when Man City was trailing 2 - 1 in the first half, the uffff was really surprising. And in the end, after Man City's second goal in the second half, the situation was starting to come under control, Pep was really wild as usual in quickly managing his tactics in the second half. and Bobb's final goal was truly the savior.

Indeed, this time Man City won and we already predicted it. You are right, Arteta needs to recruit players in the January transfer window to add depth to the squad, but the challenge of getting players who suit his strategy will be very difficult. If Arsenal still dreams of winning the EPL trophy this season, then they must create consistency while waiting for Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa to experience bad days. The front line is one of the weaknesses of Arteta fleet this season, if they don't immediately find a solution then it's no surprise they will return to a story like last season.

While there is still a chance to compete for the title, Arteta must evaluate the shortcomings of his squad from now on.
