Chelsea definitely got a golden three points, with Liverpool racking up points like crazy, there is no other team left to battle them, Chelsea looks like the only one left just a bit. With the storm causing the Liverpool game to postpone, the gap is now four points but of course we do not know what that game will be, Liverpool is missing one game, so we can say in theory that can be 7 point gap. With City and Arsenal getting further away, Liverpool probably expected to see themselves much higher and must be shocked to see Chelsea doing this well. In fact, I am pretty sure even Chelsea fans are pretty shocked about what they are seeing as well, doesn't feel that likely to be fair.
Not only are Chelsea fans shocked, the whole football lovers are. Nobody who watched today's match between Tottenham and Chelsea would say the 3-4 victory Chelsea had over Tottenham didn't shock them. It was 2 goals down the line for Chelsea in 11 minutes of play before the match turns to be a win for Chelsea.Chelsea surprised everyone with their astonishing comeback of the coach making the right changes of substituting Lavia in the second half for Gusto. That substitution made by Maresca changed the atmosphere of the match in Chelsea's favor(Caicedo played defensive midfielder while Gusto played right back).
In the first half, Tottenham was in good control of the match because Chelsea's midfield was empty due to Caicedo playing right back(not his main position). But the moment Gusto entered(Caicedo playing his right position), the ball possession of Chelsea changed automatically, which turned out to be a positive one for Chelsea to grab the 3 points to draw a bit closer to Liverpool in pursuit of the Premier League title.
