Tottenham had some players missing, specially after a marginal game like they had against Chelsea it was expected that they would not be back all that much.

Plus, there is no "need" for them to win the title, they haven't been that good for years, finishing the season at third or fourth place should be good enough for them to be happy about, if they could have a season where they are doing that regularly, then it would be awesome.
