It is very realistic for them to bet on Manchester City winning because based on the quality of both teams, Manchester City is superior to West Ham. Manchester City are still able to maintain their best performance since the start of the season, they managed to get full points in four matches.

Man UTD are playing at home, will the referee and VAR favor them like it did during their meetings with Wolves and Nottingham?

In fact, if West Ham can hold Man City to a draw in that match then I think that is quite a big achievement for a club like West Ham. Well, holding Man City, who are the defending champions, to a draw will definitely be a matter of pride for West Ham. And it can increase the players' motivation to be better than other clubs. I do not agree that the performance of WestHam United this season is better than that of last season. It is rather better to stay that West Ham has been consistent for the past three seasons.
If you remember last season West Ham also did very well in the European competition. And that is why they became the champions of the conference league and that automatically gave them the qualification to play in the Europa League for this season. That is a very huge achievement by West Ham. I am not very sure about how West Ham will fare in this new season because the season just started. There might be so many inconveniences in this season because so many clubs has bought good players to reinforce their squad in order to compete for titles.

I think so too. Ten Hag may be in a tough spot as he may have to make some adjustments to his tactics now that a key player has been removed from the squad till further notice. Antony had showed great potential and I think he would have performed even better. His absence would be felt in the squad but Manchester United would just have to move on without him and quickly too.
Allegations of attempted rape and assault against the player are serious allegations and could leave a mark even if or when proven innocent later on. Either way, his career playing football is looking very bleak at the moment.
