Firmino is helping liverpool to leave the unlucky situation. The failed penalty by salah has made so many people feel disappointed including me but finally with the come of firmino was saving the club from the loss. I don't even know why liverpool wanna try to sell a good player like him once he is still having time to play in the various competitions next season.
In the last two seasons, Firmino lost his position in Liverpool but at least in this season, he has helpful contributions for Liverpool as a substitute player for them. Firmino has better converting rate than Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo. When those players fail to score goals, Firmino can help them to resolve it.
I guess Liverpool want to replace two of three players in their trio, Firmino, Mane and Salah and they tried it with Jota, Diaz, Nunez and Gakpo. So far those new players could not adapt well in the club and their contributions are limited. They also contribute to a worse performance of Mohamed Salah. However, in the match Salah did wasted some opportunities and in some situations, he should make key passes to his team-mates who are at better positions rather than try to finish it by himself.
You are wrong about Salah and his penalty kick, maybe if they scored the goal and Salah didn't miss the penalty kick they could stop trying to score another and start a defensive game Arsenal could even score another goal, or there could be other possibilities for this game about Salah and his penalty kick but from I saw in this game I can say Arsenal disappointed me in the second half because as the first team of the premier league, they had few opportunities in the game comparing to Liverpool.
Your opinion is right but Salah actually had a bad match as in his good day, he can score a hattrick with those opportunities. Klopp in a press conference after the match, told that Liverpool would have won that match with chances they created.
But he only told one side of his team, another side is very poor performance which gave Arsenal two leading goals. In both situations, Liverpool defense system worked very poorly.
