Liverpool and Chelsea were originally and are still attached as a top 4 subscription team, now they have to work hard to get back to that position.
If Liverpool and Chelsea continue their bad forms like they are doing, they will end this season with rankings lower than the fourth one. It will give Newcastle United another great chance to become another powerful club in top four of this league.
A very unfortunate thing if it does happen for Liverpool and Chelsea. But Chelsea and Liverpool will try not to end the season in a low position like their current position. The point difference with the current fifth-placed team is also not far when compared to the number of remaining matches this season.
It is possible that starting next week they will return to their usual form of winning and entertaining.
As for Newcastle having a huge amount of money thanks to the transfer of ownership impacting their current form, Manchester City seem to have had an early taste of it.

I have to say that compared to Chelsea and Liverpool, Newcastle United have been playing really consistent football after that Saudi Arabian takeover. Liverpool and Chelsea are currently in ninth and 10th position respectively with both of them having 28 points and winning only eight games. This is really unacceptable from top tier teams like Chelsea and Liverpool who are expected to be the contenders for the league title.

There is one last thing left for Arsenal to prove now. It is their games against Manchester City. If they get positive results against them as well then I don't see any other hindrance for them to make it to the league title for real. I know that Manchester United and Newcastle are also in a similar distance to Arsenal in the standings. But in the long run I see Manchester City can compete with Arsenal the most.

Even Manchester City can't keep up with them interestingly. They have had serious issues in not only some big games but also against smaller teams. I won't be surprised if the gap with Arsenal gets bigger in time.

Arsenal have proved their critics wrong this season. When you expect them to fail, they step up and do better. Against Tottenham was a huge test for the team but they dominated the game and made it look so easy. Mike Arteta knows what he is doing and has managed to transform Arsenal to a club that holds the number 1 spot in the league. They have been underrated for so long, it will give me pleasure to see the team rewarded with the league trophy this season.

Arsenal won almost all battles this season. When people expect them to fail at one point they never backed up and keep their winning streak. We only saw one half of the season but Arsenal is already eight points away from the closest opponent.
Unless they make a very unusual mistake, I think it's over. Of course Manchester duo will try to catch them but Arsenal got psychological lead as well.

I'm beginning to change my mind about Arsenal, when you think they may not go far, that's when they win more matches. I dint expect Arsenal to do a cleans sheet yesterday against Tottenham, the same team that denied them the opportunity to Champions League last season, this time they are not only making it to the Champions League, but they are also surely winning Premier League as well because they standing strong in the table.

Kane was about to make history by having the same number of goals as Jimmy Greaves as the highest goal scorer in Tottenham but Arsenal didn't give them that chance, I think they purposely wanted to use Arsenal's downfall to celebrate from the formation their coach used yesterday, maybe Manchester City will allow room for the entertainment when they meet this week.

Indeed they prove their critics wrong. Arsenal performance was so poor before now , no one would believe Arsenal will be one of the best team and the leading team this season.  Arteta has really transformed Arsenal this season.

It takes 3 years for arteta to transform the lazy arsenal to become this superior arsenal , that's not a short time one to have a complete revolution but the shortest time to break manchester city domination in the league which it's pretty surprising ...

We might witnessed manchester united struggling for more than 5 years but arteta doing really different thing.

Manchester United is already in very good form. They played amazingly against Manchester City. But the equalizing goal scored by Bruno Fernandez is what I still can't fathom because, in a normal football sense, I see it to be an offside goal, But it still doesn't mean that MU did not deserve the win.
Like, am amazed actually as to how that could count as a goal, even with the host of assistant referees and VAR out there. It's clear enough that, B. Fernandez wasn't in an offside position but even the more clearer was the fact that M. Rashford was. Good enough, he never touched the ball but he did run towards the ball.
Now, how is that not to course some reaction on the way the defence and goalkeeper would think. Judging by how clear the position of M. Rashford was and the fact that, he didn't run away from the ball but rather ran towards it, there have got to be effect on the Manchester City players and that's good enough to award an offside on that goal.
I don't think the team of referees did a good job on deciding that goal. It was an offside for me!

Considering Arsenal isn't the most popular and rich club in Premier League, do you think they will let Odegaard and Saka to join the other club? I believe many clubs are paying attention to this both players.
Arsenal's vision of always selling players for profit has changed, because if you look at the start of the season Arsenal were even willing to buy players at a higher price, this had not been done for decades since being coached by Arsene Wenger.

Both are important players in Arsenal's current squad and I'm sure Arteta won't let them go.
At the moment, they really seem to have a different vision from a player's point of view because they won't let go if it really costs them.
Currently Odegaard is one of the important players for them. Not only is he a captain but he has always had quite the form in every game they have run and this is not going to be taken for granted.
As long as they are able to retain players, I think they will maintain this and will not sell even if the price is quite high, especially since this season is a good momentum for them.

I am quite happy with nothing goal in 1st half, which mean all club play defensively and wait for a counter attack. but after a break, The City begins to offensive and is able to break MU's defense and goal. On the other side, I agree Pep changed Fodden to Grealish which make the city be impressive but on another side, that strategy changed, which made MU able to break center and surprise, they are busy attacking, and forget to hold the defense that makes MU won the match.
Honestly I was very happy with and amused by the match this time. Man United and Man City displayed a desire to win, although I see indeed Man City excelled slightly in possession of the ball. So several times they forced the Man United players to defend.
But Ten Hag's move to include Garnacho was quite effective. Casemiro and Freed also performed well they continued to be in front of defenders and left Bernado Silva and Foden unable to move freely.
Erik Ten Hag succeeded with the strategy implemented in this match. Casemiro is one of the names that has appeared very riveting many times when he was able to break the attack that was built by Manchester City. Even though they were behind earlier, Manchester United were able to turn things around with the 2 goals they scored and they were able to keep it until the end of the game.
Manchester United can slowly make themselves better, game to game they can always be consistent with their performances. Their opportunity to be in competition for the title is very open.

I think how Ten Hag played his tactics was spot on. As Manchester City has a lot of attacking players like Phil Foden, Silva, Haaland, and KDB, Ten Hag played the double pivot with Casemiro and Fred. This helped Manchester United's defender well because as we know Casemiro is a world-class central defensive midfielder and he played a huge role in holding off Manchester City's main player Erling Haaland.

I don't know where you saw the top of the standings, because Newcastle's position is still under Man City. After all, this competition will continue, be it Man City, even though they are narrowly separated by 1 point, even Man United, who is currently in a performance that should be reckoned with too. So I'm still optimistic that the standings can be achieved. Even if Arsenal wins, at least positions 2 and 3 can still change.
Currently Newcastle and Man United's points are the same, but they have different numbers of games. Man United are fewer, so the chances of overthrowing Newcastle are very much open. Next Thursday they will face Crystal Palace, at Selhurst Park. The hope is that they can win, because Crystal Palace's opponents are certainly easier than Man City. Of course, the momentum of the victory over Man City can be a strong motive to perform well. It proved Ten Hag today was freer from pressure ever sinceRonaldo left.
After many years we have these two English rival clubs at this level because after the end of Allan Shearer era Newcastle United was suffering badly and Manchester United also having troubling time after the retirement of the Sir Alex Ferguson but now things looking impressive with these both clubs are at third and fourth spots and have same points, but Manchester United can top them with they have one match in hand, and they are going to face Crystal Palace in this match on 19th January at Selhurst Park in case of win they could be good to go at the third spot for the few days because after this Arsenal is their opposition for the next match and Newcastle United will be on visit to Selhurst Park for the 21st round match which is going to be good for them if they want to stay at the third spot for few more weeks.

Manchester united are seriously playing well right now, the team is doing it more than our expectations. It wasn't my believe that Manchester united can defeat Manchester city, it look so surprised to me Up till now, is it that Manchester city is weak currently or it was just a lucky for Manchester united?with this current form that Manchester united is going with now, it will hard for any team to win them. We are going to see what will happen against arsenal and Manchester united by weekend, I believe the match will be very tough due to that both teams are currently in form and they are both in winning spirits.
The match on January 22 will be a big match because Arsenal will definitely take revenge on MU. Arsenal is the host and Arsenal's winning odds are bigger than MU

Even though MU is in 4th place in the current EPL standings, MU's experience in dealing with Arsenal is very good, I still choose MU because I am sure they will repeat their victory like in the last meeting of the two teams
Everyone thinks man u can win arsenal that's what everyone is currently expecting now arsenal will always make me proud and when it comes to worst they will draw the match, and you can not use the last to victory to judge what's going to happen between the two teams is going to be a tough match but I have full confidence in arsenal they will not take chances at all.

Most supporters of Man City believe the game was rigged in favor of Man UTD but I'd not know that since in football, one has to lose some and win some. I enjoyed the performance of Ten Haag's men and it was quite refreshing to see they where not daunted by the presence of the Citizens' golden boy(Haaland), but instead blocked all the attempts they made.
I could see the frustrated look on Pep's face knowing they were going to not just lose three points, but also another chance to win in a Manchester derby.
They are different, I don't understand there are indeed several fouls committed by Man United players that may benefit Man City. But discussing the game that has already passed seems like a waste of time. Because it will not change the final result.  The most appropriate next step is to improve their appearance. Against Man United Haaland couldn't move much and I think that's what cost them a loss. Next they will play against Tottenham. Of course, it is not an easy opponent even though Tottenham also lost to Arsenal 0-2 in the last match.

In my opinion, I would not say that the match was rigged in favor of Manchester United, but rather that Ten Hag's team played exceptionally well in that game. In the short time that Erik Ten Hag has been in charge of Manchester United, they have been putting out some really stellar results, and more importantly, since Cristiano Ronaldo left, they have been on a winning streak. Manchester United won a tough game against Manchester City thanks primarily to the performance of Casemiro, who played a key role in stopping Haaland and as a result, Manchester United won the game.

Arsenal are favoured by 1.95 and it is 3.75 for Manchester United in their matchup in six days.

I would like to remind you of their latest rendezvous in the Premier League firstly. Manchester United had a really solid game against them and managed to defeat them by even a satisfying 3-1 score. Arsenal were going on great back then also therefore this loss was shocking for them. Manchester United were even worse than their current look but Erik ten Hag still knew what to do in Old Trafford in such big matches. This is another big match but this time it is in Emirates. Arsenal have a solid history in home matches against them. Plus they got a very solid win against Tottenham last week. I believe in them to win here also.

Arsenal cannot boost of 100% sure of winning the game against Manchester United despite they are at home, the both teams are in good form and may likely tie points on that game. But if Arsenal win the match they will become more comfortable on the table top, then on the other hand, if Manchester United won, they will be encouraged more to contest for the league.
This season have been very favorable for Asernal havent top the premier league table for several weeks, and Manchester United follows behind but is not sure to reclaim the top position from Asernal this season.

The premiere league is gradually getting tougher for weak clubs like Manchester united or Chelsea who both have performed poorly last season but are still trying to break away from that performance thos season.

Arsenal is my favorite this season and I am wishing the club all the best.

It was very difficult to get 3 points from Tottenham.  Arsenal managed to do that.  With this win, they have taken a very important step.  Getting this away win was even more important.  It was an unfortunate match for Lloris, and he inadvertently made a mistake in conceding a goal.  Now there is a big difference between them and Arsenal.
No doubt a tough challenge for the leaders which give them full three points and now lead is almost eight points from the second spotted Manchester City which is going to be good for them and pressure is on Manchester City because they are suffering from poor run and lost five points in four games after the break.

Tottenham having three London derbies in last four matches and able to won just one point with now after break they are also suffering and now staying at the fifth spot which is surely setback for the Conte and rest of the team because before break they were doing impressive job and staying at the third spot but suddenly things going on wrong way for them with next match is against Manchester City which is also looking for the positive way and this can bring more problems for the Tottenham.
But on the other hand everything is still possible for some surprises.
In fact, we saw a surprise in the previous game. Even though Tottenham haven't had a good performance so far, but when they can take advantage of counterattacks like what Manchester United did before, I think this could have other possibilities for Tottenham, even though at this time Manchester City clearly has a very clear advantage.

I think Manchester City will beat Tottenham. I don't expect Tottenham to repeat their latest win against them in Etihad. I don't see them strong enough to do it now. They had big problems against Arsenal and lost home. I know Manchester City also seemed in trouble these days in some games. But their performance is still much better than Tottenham.

Conte is still having difficulties in motivating the players to have a decent form in the league. I see Kane making a huge effort but the team are still having some struggles. This might hinder them from finishing the season in top 4 as well. They are still weak in big games too.
I definitely would agree with you, with the way Tottenham played against Arsenal yesterday, which drove Arsenal to beating them 2: in their home, I think they would not stand a chance against Manchester city, though like you said, Manchester City still do have their own internal problems to deal with, but i personally think Tottenham would be an easy win for them,
This is just my prediction though, Football games have really shifted from what it used to be, so on this note, I think we should also make some room available just incase we are hit with surprises.

Manchester City will host Tottenham for a postponed match in Week 7. This will be crucial for Manchester City's journey to be able to stay in the position they currently occupy. The reason is if they lose this match, then they will be threatened to be shifted by the club that is now under them. Tottenham this week suffered another defeat from the top standings, Arsenal. With the strength that Manchester City has now, I'm pretty sure Manchester City will be able to beat Tottenham in the game later, or in other words, Manchester City's chances are bigger than Tottenham to be able to win.
This match will definitely be interesting, both of them lost in the previous match, both of them possibility will show a good game to get points. But on paper Manchester City is ahead, they probably won't lose points again in this match, meanwhile Tottenham are also not in good performance. I agree with you that Manchester City will win in this match, win probability is also high in statistics but I hope both team can to score.

The odds for Manchester City are really low considering their recent form which has not been consistent at all and they have not won the majority of their games, even the games that they have won they barely won them by a goal difference.I am not saying that Tottenham is in a good form either but giving Manchester City less than 1.40 is not a good option either. The bookies are heavily favoring Manchester City in this time where they have not had that good results, maybe they are thinking that if City does not win this game it is truly bye bye for the Premier League but they should keep in mind that this type of game can also impact them psychologically if they don't score early in the game,so this is a double edged sword.
Indeed really low odds less than 1.40 for Manchester City, therefore both team to score will be a good option later because it is more than 1.70. Also the half time odds for Manchester City are a more worthy another good option because more than 1.80, but this is difficult to guess. By the way, I still haven't sure to place a bet, waiting other opinions from community for comparison.

City definitely can't finish outside the top three, they definitely can even finish at the summit of the league, that is how good they are, or rather can be when they are playing at their best (though they aren't right now).

They are playing at their best but the other teams just simply cant lose right now. Take a look at Arsenal though, Arteta and the squad is currently on great momentum right now by winning all those games. Manchester United keep on winning and improving as well while City keep on leaning towards passing the ball to Haaland instead which is also why once Haaland was heavily man-marked as well as De Bruyne then they simply stop scoring afterward
The problem all began with the arrival of Haaland. Manchester City used to be a team where any man can score. Before defenders and midfielders were having a good number of goals, and then Manchester City recorded more goals per game. Now, the dependency on Haaland has goal Machinery has limited the club to a few goals per match. Manchester United significantly knew that man-marking Haaland and D bryun is the only way to conquer them and so was it.

I don't see anything wrong with only Haaland scoring for the most part. I do not think that before the game the team is instructed to "give all the goals to one player", most likely it is more convenient, and besides, it did not make the team worse. Yes, now there are fewer crushing matches, but doesn't it matter? After all, the team continues to win
