They should have attempted to draw at least one of out of the two games or better still secured their win in the FA Cup third round, but it is obvious Chelsea will go trophyless this season. Potter was convinced into taking up this role as Chelsea manager. He was better off at Brighton and who knows Brighton would have been in the top 4 if he was still with them.

You are right. Tuchel was not sacked because of the performance of the players, he was sacked I think because of some disagreement between him and the club. The mistake Chelsea did is bringing in a coach that is not sound like Graham Potter, he is not capable of reviving Chelsea back.

Even that is doubtful at this point. Because we don't know how this bad form will affect their performance against Dortmund there. I think we are most likely not going to see Chelsea in the Champions League next season. Sad

Chelsea needs results and there's no much time left in the league for the top 4 position for Chelsea. You forgot that football is a business and no business man would sit down and watch his business start to fall and the person keeps quite, Therefore Graham Potter is being paid for the job and there should not be any excuses to start giving Chelsea good results because he already saw Chelsea's situation which led to the sack of Thomas Tuchel before he took the job in order to fix the team.

Likewise, my doubts have been on Man City this season on if they would maintain their second position with their unlucky performances after the world cup. Obviously, they can't win Arsenal on the table this season as Arsenal looks more determined with their games and are in for the trophy after many years of deprivation.

But Man City might still be under threat with their second position with the recent performances of Man U. But who knows, Man U might begin to have challenging times too, I don't always trust them for long.
