An easy win from Newcastle United. But yes, if you are already leading 0-2 after 7 minutes, then the victory is as good as within. When the 0-3 fell, it was definitely over for Leicester. A wonderful start for Newcastle, who once again showed why they are in 3rd place in the league. A mediocre start from the Spurs, who did not get further than 2-2. You really can't afford to lose that point. In half an hour we will see how well Liverpool have come out of the winter break in the onion game at Aston Villa. They undoubtedly have unpleasant memories of last season.

Since selling several important players Leicester have lost their good game, they are now getting worse even though they are not in the relegation zone, but Rodgers' troops are not playing any better so they can be left behind in the EPL.

Well, selling some of their important players at that time was a very fatal decision so that they could slump until now. But player transfers are something that cannot be avoided, especially if the offer that comes to the player is an offer with big money. Last season Leicester were still able to finish in 8th place in the EPL standings, but for this season it looks like they can't get the place they got last season. What do you think? do you have the same thoughts as me?
Not only are bigger offers coming to players but Leicester are also still profiting from their sales so there is no more concrete deterrence to keep them in the past few seasons.
As it is, Leicester will still struggle to reach a better level to finish this season but for better progress they must be able to overhaul the squad and become a bigger evaluation especially Rodgers as the head coach in this team, I don't know what the decision is the management will they bring in some players in winter? Still looking for info on that.

Newcastle United had a sensational start today. They won a penalty in the first minute of the match with Daniel Amartey's timing error and took the lead in the match. But then Almiron scored a great goal. It was like a practice goal. Almiron was so comfortable in that position that I don't know what to say. Leicester defenders were helpless against his slalom and his passing with his friends. Then came Joelinton's header goal, and they closed the first half with a clear lead. Newcastle United will be second in the league with this win. However, it should be reminded that they play more matches than their rivals. But no matter what, I think they will get the Champions League ticket this year. The excitement of the Premier League never diminished. I realized that today in this game.
Yes, Newcastle is on a good track at the moment. They have been able to maintain their good form so far and look comfortable to continue to provide competition at the top. I would be very surprised if Newcastle can keep up this good form until the end of the season and qualify for the Champions League, but it could happen.

Eddie Howe's game strategy has been very effective so far and they already have a fantastic record. Newcastle have won 9 matches (including this one) and 6 draws and only 1 loss in 16 matches. Of course they deserve what they want but I still believe Newcastle will still be behind the top teams in the end. An interesting match for them is against Arsenal in early January and I'd like to see what they can do by then.

Newcastle very quickly made the score comfortable for themselves, given the previous results, I will say that it will be very difficult for Leicester to count on even equalizing today.

It's not only difficult, it looks like it will be impossible for Leicester City to draw in this match, because in the 32nd minute Joelinton scored the third goal for Newcastle. I am quite surprised to see the current results, Leicester, which we used to know very well, is slowly disappearing at this time. If Newcastle manages to get 3 points in this match, they will be in second place in the EPL standings for a while with 33 points.
There is no change for Newcastle, he continues to give good performance in this match and Leicester will clearly find it more difficult to keep up with this game, they will not be able to return goals to draw, let alone win, see me every game continues to be dominated by Newcastle.

Since selling several important players Leicester have lost their good game, they are now getting worse even though they are not in the relegation zone, but Rodgers' troops are not playing any better so they can be left behind in the EPL.

More salute Newcastle can maintain a slick game.

Leicester is really disappointing compared to previous years. They need to innovate on the defensive line. They concede too many goals. Today, they are defeated 3-0 against Newcastle United, the surprise team of the league. They concede a lot of goals and they haven't even scored yet. This year they can go all the way down to the bottom of the league and this mistake will cause a big problem for them. Leicester must recover quickly.

Newcastle United versus Leicester City

The match is going on right now and 78 minutes have been played. Newcastle United is really playing well. The way they are playing it feels like they are very serious about finishing in the top four this season. They have already scored three goals in this match.

The score is currently Newcastle United, 3–0, Leicester City.

I don’t think there is any way back for Leicester City in this match. And I also think that the top contenders for the English Premier League should be scared of Newcastle United.

Tottenham on the hand have always been shaky in the first half of every game of the season. They have come back to earn points in more than five occasions this season. Comeback is sweet but not shouldn't be on a weekly basis, it may fail against a better opposition. Even today Brentford defended too early in the match something they can't do too well.
I don't see something wrong with it , Come back wining in the second half if it's actually working for them, Maybe could be there wining strategy , that is allowing their opponent to do the Play during the first half of the game and coming second half to win the match when they feel that the opponent has exhausted their energy.
Therefore what matters a lot in a match is the final score at the end of the game, Presicly the 3 points.

Honestly I'm a little surprised to see Newcastle turning this game into a one-sided one from the beginning. Because I was expecting Leicester to show some existence against their opponent here. The reason why I was thinking like that is Leicester's good form recently. They were on a really good rise in the standings by making a big improvement in defense. They didn't even concede more than one goal against Manchester City despite the loss. These were all good signs for them to recover.

But it seems like this good look didn't last long. Newcastle shocked them by scoring 2 goals in the first 7 minutes already and it was already 3-0 by the 32nd minute. Leicester are in big trouble in defense once again. They had better focus on signing defenders in January.

I think Leicester are just purely into business, they make so much money trading with players just like Borussia Dortmund. But in Dortmund's case, while they sell, they recruit new ones,  either by buying average players with a little amount of money, training them, and later selling them out for exorbitant prizes, or they recruit from their academy and junior team. While Leicester does not consent to buy new ones, they recruit old players from the junior team, and also take good ones from lone and free transfers , and I think that works for them.

Newcastle very quickly made the score comfortable for themselves, given the previous results, I will say that it will be very difficult for Leicester to count on even equalizing today. Yes, Newcastle have already shown that the break has only benefited them. Tottenham lost points against Bretford, which was predictably a difficult match and Brentford proved their reputation as a home team. Conte's wards were more active, but they had to recoup, and I confess when the score became 2:0 I thought that Tottenham would not be able to equalize.

Just like I predicted before, Newcastle could find there rhythm back with this match many doubted whether they would lose there confidence because of the break. They were a bit lucky that none of there players are in available. For Leicester I don't see them coming back from this score line. The are sinking and needs to find solutions fast before it gets worse. First solution should be the defence.

Leicester are crap, they’re having an awful season but we have to give Newcastle some credit this season. They really are flying, with some pretty average players too. It’s going to take a monumental collapse for them to miss out on top 4 now. I think they’re going to get it which would be huge for them to attract top players in the summer.

It's been an amazing first half for Newcastle United. So unexpected as to how they took the lead with two goals in less than 7minutes into the kick off. The penalty give away by Amartey was undeniably a penalty, one that any referee would have given and such a defensive error to have allowed that opportunity present itself so early in the game.
Almiron on the other hand performed yet another great run. Right from the throw line, cut back into the corner of the box, with a couple of 1,2 passes, found his way into a perfect spot within the box and scored his goal. Lots of energy from the Newcastle United side and the game already looks lost for Leicester City. Especially with the scoring of the third goal by Joelinton. The second half has already began, a J. Vardy and let's see what difference l can be done in the second half.

Newcastle needed the result to show that these guys have some capital pumped into the team and the results speak for themselves. As for Almiron, boy this lad knows his football and his always in the right place at the right time and if he continues on this path he will soon be getting offers from big clubs to use his services.

Leicester defenders were helpless against his slalom and his passing with his friends.
Am sorry but Leicester are just pathetic, this vardy party is over and we get blinded by their performance because these lads were once Premier league champs but for now I would be happy if they packed their bags to rediscover themselves again.

what I am seeing from the performance of teams to day i haven't seen any changes in performance of team. They are all playing exactly the way they have been playing,  Arsenal might likely not have any change even if Gabriel Jesus will be absent in the game against West ham .

Its look like the Boxing Day special of the premier league is really heating up with alot of goals as we the first game of premiere league after the world cup filled with four goals and currently now the rest games that are playing have already started pumping goals as
-Newcastle are leading by two goals
-Brighton are leading by a goal
-everton game have seen two goals scored already with the currently drawing a goal a piece.

The game are just starting and we have already seen enough goals, hope the goals will just keep coming as goals make the games really interesting to watch
Party goals. Also Tottenham are amazing 2 goals left behind but they can make it the same with ended 2-2. I can't believe Newcastle is so good, them at not wasting chances and now leading at this time to be 0-3. It's really beyond expectations, Leicester showed a poor performance at home. Witth this victory, Newcastle succeeded to shifting Manchester City with 33 points for a while.

The boxing day is turning to be a special one indeed. Spurs had a very difficult time due to an early first half and second half goal but, they managed to seek out a draw against Brentford and they got it. One notable problem on the Spurs side was them not being able to keep an eye on the  Brentford players running right from behind them. The Spurs defence line were more focused on the ball and allowed free touches to Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney from behind who converted the goal rather easily.
Spurs really needed to find H. Kane and that was made very difficult by the Brentford defence line who were there almost everytime to intercept the ball at every trier. A good cross from C. Lenglet to have been able to deliver that ball over to H. Kane and what a wonderful header it was into the far corner. Another well taken ball from Pierre Hojbjerg into the goal to give them there equaliser and they've got a point to keep them in the 4th place on the league table.

Yeah, there is still a lot of time for Leicester to come back but I'm not sure if they will be able to do that after these two early goals. If the game ends like this, Newcastle players will surely prove that this pause because of the World Cup didn't mean nothing to them.

Talking about equalising, i don't think that would be possible again as Newcastle just added another goal to their lead making it three now. Tottenham were able to comeback on Brentford because even as they were loosing two they were ones in control of the game with the possession and attacks all counted for them but for the case of leicester they have been totally outplayed and over powered by the Newcastle boys. If they can follow the winning form and wonderful performance i think i can actually give a straight winning over Manchester City thats if the bookmakers give them a Nice odd i can flip my money into Grin
