Cristiano Ronaldo still has quite high selling price, many teams interested want to signing and move to MLS or Asian league will be new challenge for Ronaldo. I think the decision to retire after the world cup is impossible especially with Ronaldo's desire to continue playing in a big European team. Ronaldo still on the top level right now based on how take care with his physical and he can managed well with his performance although have been 37 years old.
Possible for Ronaldo after World Cup can playing two until three years later, but I think top level performance with European team maybe one or two season and best ideas when moving to MLS and he can earn much salary because there are many team want to signing Ronaldo.
We'll see how he performs with Portugal in the World Cup, because if Ronaldo is old and still chasing titles I don't think it's the right way. In fact, if we take another example like in MotoGP where at that time Rossi was already old but still had the ambition to get a World Champion, but because there were already many competitors and he was still very young. Until finally Rossi decided to retire, for me that could be an example or a lesson that in old age it is difficult to pursue titles.
It's different if old players play as usual and accept all the coach's decisions, for example like Lewandowski, Benzema and also Giroud. They are all playing as they can without having big ambitions to win the title, but the results are still good until now.
Ronaldo's case is very different, because Ronaldo is used to titles and maybe he thinks it's easy to win titles, so Ronaldo doesn't realize that his era has ended.
Instead of playing in other competitions outside of Europe which basically don't have prestigious titles like in Europe, then I think it's better for Ronaldo to retire.
