Erik Tan Hag could be a great manager all I know, with this roster and the same problematic defense, even Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't be able to get this team to a good place. I am not saying that there isn't a potential there, with all team healthy they could have a potential, but they seriously need to get at least one superstar level defender. If they get that ONE defender, and replace Maguire, then they are going to be fine, because as long as they lack defensive talent, they will keep on getting scored every game, and as long as they do that then they are not going to be good at all. If I were me, I would have spent all the money United has to getting at least 2 defenders, and if possible better wing backs.

Manchester United performances was a surprise to me because in preseason matches they did very well , I was not expecting them to start the league so poorly. Their performance during the preseason game convinced me that Manchester United will of the same level of city and Liverpool but I was dissapointed.

Manchester United had more of the ball possession in the first half and played defensively. On the other hand, Brighton tried to score. United's players made several attacks but I did not see any strong attacks. Brighton won and they won with a good performance. This is no coincidence. There are some that I regret in this match including the different schemes that Ten Hag showed so it seemed like trying there, other than that Ronaldo wasn't there from the start, although we do know that this is part of the sanctions given due to him leaving early during the match. pre-season tour and most recently was Maguire's starter which made this the Ten Hag's biggest mistake in this game. In my opinion, Manchester United didn’t really put much effort in trying to score goals and if I didn’t know better, I would say they underestimated their opponents. It’s very well safe to say it’s too early to criticize Ten Hag on his tactics as it’s only been one match but one would have expected Manchester United to win its first game of the season. One being played at home grounds too. Hopefully, we’ll see some much needed improvements in its second game. Improvements the fans would love to see

Manchester United did no doubt play poorly in their first match with Brighton in the premier league and lost the game as a result. Personally I think it’s still very early to judge the clubs performance based solely on the first match. Obviously, there’s still some work to be done in the club aside tactics and strategies before the club can come back to its former glory. They may have underestimated their opponents and got beaten in their home stadium. Hopefully, Manchester United would make a come around this season and for now, it’s still too early to tell.

Remember that chelsea and arsenal are also starting to back to its best performance. MU is the one who has been giving the worst performance. If that will always continue and it will become a disaster. Maybe it's too early for us to say about this but im sure that if this will become one of the most competitive season in the english premier league. I hope that any other small club can perform like brighton.
I can guarantee that Tuchel will end the season at the top of the table for Chelsea, but not for Arsenal. Their last game was entertaining, and I liked how their defence played, but you know that the next time they play against England's big squads like Liverpool and Manchester City, they won't last, and will most likely not make it to the end.
