Golden era for Manchester United probably for class 92' at that time if i'm not mistaken Erick Cantona is the captain and the next after him is Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs so in the golden era under Ferguson Manchester United had charismatic captain who can bringing this team get many of trophies and currently Manchester United don't have the captain such as them and indeed Ronaldo can be suitable in that position but his contract is almost expired next season with no certain future so i'm not sure Ten Hag will choose him as the next captain especially for long term
Still, I think for 1 year this season is worth a try because right now who can manage the players on the pitch, especially with their current condition.
Maybe it's true in this case Ronaldo and De Gea have chances but the problem is De Gea is not enough to keep his team-mates I think and Ronaldo still has that authority. Even if it's a season I think it can still be tried while looking at the next captain candidate.
Ronaldo can be appointed as the new captain of Manchester United, but he is not the best choice for long-term captain because his time with Manchester United is not long. Ten Hag should try to put faith in Ronaldo, as he is capable of leading his team-mates on the pitch and is very influential in the dressing room. De Gea can be trusted as vice-captain, when Ronaldo is not on the field, De Gea will take his place as captain.

Ronaldo as the captain would be good, he is very influencial, the fans love him, he is a motivator as seen a number of occasion on international level how he drives the portugal national team. He has the leadership qualities and will put this manchester team together on the pitch and outside the pitch. De gea is also a perfect choice for an assistant

Erik Ten Hag is experienced enough. Although Manchester United have a lot of talented players in their squad, Manchester United's management is still willing to spend money to bring in more talented players. Erik ten Hag will have the opportunity to sort out the squad with the players of his choice. And so I think next season we will not see the poor performance of the United team. They will be able to be strong and stable next season.
I still doubt his ability in the Premier League because the competition between all teams is always very tight. Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea will still be favorites next season but there may be an opportunity for Manchester United to do more. The funding that might be given to Ten Hag is expected to improve the quality of his team, but of course this depends on who the players are brought in and how the strategy is understood by the players.

The main goal is only one, which is to win the title. So Manchester United will be one of the other contenders, but they are not that great to be expected to stop Manchester City's dominance any time soon.

Marcus Rashford wants to fight for he's place under the new coach.
Sancho is currently training personally, also Eric Baily.
I think Manchester will do better next season under the new coach.
Can they just dump Maguire and Shaw ?

Bailly is one player that will be shown trhe exit door if Manchester United are able to get 1 or 2 defenders before the end of the transfer market. Maguire and Shaw remains the core of the MUFC Backline and will remain in the team; Rashford will be a fitter and better player next season. With Ten Hag and a new challenge; Rashford and Sancho have a new season to prove a point that class is permanent

Did you just mention Maguire ? Please look into that again.
I bet you shaw won't be in the first team.
If not for Telles pace he would have been much better.
I'll rather see someone else please in the left back role.

I see in the source that Manchester United have made an offer for Christian Eriksen as his contract with Brentford is ending at the end of this month. I think Christian Eriksen would be a really good choice for Manchester United because I still believe in him to perform nicely until the end of his career. He has had health problems I know but he is still looking good now. Brentford gave a good opportunity to him and he got the chance to be in form again. Now it is time for him to play at bigger teams.

And so I think next season we will not see the poor performance of the United team. They will be able to be strong and stable next season.
I think so too, of course another season like they had last one will be a disaster and could further damage the club's reputation as a top team in England, so i am pretty sure with Erik in charge now, things will improve, though people should please lower their expectations of the team next season, do not expect them to win the league, a top four finish would be good and might be an improvement, what will matter for United next season is their performances in games, they have to compete/play better than they did last season, it will signal an improvement, and can motivate the team for success in seasons ahead. They could maybe focus on winning either the FA Cup or Carabao cup, if they do that in addition to a top four finish, with fantastic performances in more games than not, then it could be considered a step in the right direction.

I also think that there is hope for Manchester United considering the coming season. They have changed their manager in the first place and they have brought a really good one now. Erik ten Hag's moves and strategies will be very important for the team to start recovering. They definitely want to forget about that horrible season by making a good start to the next one. Erik ten Hag had better make sure they do that. I trust him as I really liked to follow him while he was managing Ajax.

All of the hope for United is depending on playing with a good system if you ask me. Last year they didn't had that, and they were in a chaos mode and that is why they played so badly. This is the same team that played so well before this year, which means that they should be able to do it again. I hope that new manager would bring a new blood and everyone plays much better. Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense to fire Ole, he had good results back in the day, half a season of being bad shouldn't justify sacking him if you are not getting ay better.

Maybe Hag has a stick with which he will make Rashford remember how to play and progress quickly  Grin At one time, he was considered mega-talented and even, as it were, Ronaldo's successor (Ronaldo said that Rashford reminds him of himself in his youth). But then progress slowed down. United has turned into a swamp and Rashford is stuck in there...maybe it's time to turn everything back?  Cool

The bonds between Manchester United players are very bad. If Erik Ten Hag can build a bond between the players, if the understanding between the players is good, then of course Manchester United's performance will be better. And Manchester United will be able to fight for the title next season as well. However, coach Erik Ten Hag must prove his worth. I think Manchester United should have a whole new formation and a new strategy.

It no longer has anything to do with the actual situation (if at all it is true that United suffered precisely from this). Now, given the serious renewal of the roster, everything will change, including the interaction of players in every sense. I don't think United will be able to fight for the title next season (although given the high level of competition among the top teams in the Premier League, it's possible but it won't depend on United).

Maybe I will expect Manchester United to be a good team in the top 4 next season, but I don't know how it can be achieved in his first season for Ten Hag. I'm curious who the first Dutch players to fill the squad next season.
There is always hope for them to get it, but of course it has to be worth the effort and the team's performance. I don't know Ten Hag that well and I don't know what his strengths are as a coach, but of course he is someone who is believed to be able to change Manchester United's performance for the better next season.

Regarding the Dutch players, I don't know much. But maybe they are already eyeing De Jong from Barcelona to replace Pogba. It's a good investment for an early signing for Ten Hag, but there's no guarantee that De Jong can lead Manchester United's midfield to a higher level.

Manchester United's main problem doesn't seem to be entirely about players for the 2021/2022 season. They just didn't have the right coach and strategy to deal with all the available players, it failed because I think the Manchester United team have enough players compared to Arsenal, Tottenham and some others.
They have issues from transfer strategy, coach tactic to player performance and mentality. Transfer strategy is bad or does not exist at all. Coach position changes three times in a single season. Coach tactics is undefined and that affect players too. Players themselves are very weak mentally and their performance are worse than what they can do usually.

This has been confirmed from Man United game statistics throughout last season, which can be seen from the mentality of the players, even Ronaldo, trying to keep the atmosphere of the game as it used to be, cannot be implemented properly. It is difficult to give mental steel to young people who have just set foot in a club as big as Man United and are directly dealing with other top players who have had more flying hours.

Well, I agree about that. Some of the things you mentioned are other problems Manchester United have faced so far. But I wouldn't worry too much about them because to be honest the bad situation Manchester United are in about their form has given Liverpool the opportunity to be competitive as title contenders. LOL

Maybe I will expect Manchester United to be a good team in the top 4 next season, but I don't know how it can be achieved in his first season for Ten Hag. I'm curious who the first Dutch players to fill the squad next season.

Many talented players at Manchester United, but the coach did not manage to maximize his ability so that the results were really unsatisfactory. They need improvement, maybe some players will be brought in and hopefully improve the mentality of the team and the performance.
The coach position now belongs to Ten Hag and he is the biggest hope for Manchester United now. If he can plan a transfer strategy well, the club can be improved. Bad and unused players should be sold out, new players should be the ones are relevant with Ten Hag's tactic and club plans.

When viewed as a whole, actually Manchester United needs to replace several players on each line for next season because in addition to the midfield, Manchester United also has to think about players who can be very good on the front lines so that Manchester United is not only strong in midfield, but also needs to think about the front line and also the back line so that the team can be stronger than this season next season.
The Manchester squad is almost perfect on the front lines because there are already Cr7, Rashford and Martial. I think all three are capable of providing trouble at the back of the opponent this season. Cr7 who has appeared quite impressive this season by scoring 18 goals in the premier league making him the 3rd player behind Salah and Son as the top scorer this season. Maybe what Erik deserves to do is make an overhaul in the middle to find the right player to replace the position left by Pogba.

I think, Manchester United managements are fully prepared to use huge amount of money to sign in a talented midfielders because they don't want what happened in this season to happen again in next season. Manchester United performance was very poor in this season because their midfield was not too strong for them to perform well like Manchester city that demonstrated well till they embraced the premier league title. I believe, Manchester United managements will definitely get the right midfielders that will help the team to perform well in next season.

I started to think that Manchester United won't manage to finish the Frenkie de Jong deal successfully. Because they're still far below the level that Barcelona would like now. Barcelona still want a sum like 85m euros and there is a significant gap between that amount and the one Manchester United offered last. Manchester United absolutely need a midfielder now so maybe they can say ok at the end.
There are still many other midfielders that Manchester United can still get if Barcelona are not willing to sell at the price offered by Manchester United.
85 million euros is not a cheap price and not necessarily Frenkie de Jong can provide the best for Manchester United.

In my opinion, Manchester United should switch to another player like Milinkovic Savic a potential midfielder from Lazio instead of paying 85 million euros to Barcelona.

I agree with you, they don't have anyone who can control the game, with the rumors of De Jong going to Manchester United I hope he can make a big contribution to the Manchester United midfield that Pogba has left behind. Pogba himself was not able to perform optimally as expected when he used to play at Juventus. I think Ten Hag has thought of the problem to immediately address the problems that occur in the Manchester United midfield

We have also heard that Erik Ten Hag will bring in several players from Ajax who will later fill several Manchester United squads including from all lines, but what is certain is that with De Jong being rumored, Manchester United have a good midfield he is indeed talented and Ten Hag Hag knew his real position.
I'm sure this will be a big change for Ten Hag as some have yet to be announced which is definitely all being planned before the season starts.

Pogba himself was not able to perform optimally as expected when he used to play at Juventus. I think Ten Hag has thought of the problem to immediately address the problems that occur in the Manchester United midfield

For information, Pogba has performed optimally with Manchester United since his arrival to Old Trafford. And pogba has contributed quite well with manchester united, at least it can be seen from his achievements in the 2019 season with 13 goals and 9 assists, it's just that Pogba's appearance has decreased since entering the 2020 season, but that's a natural in my opinion because Pogba's opportunities to appear were also not many, the coach did not give this midfielder many opportunities.
If we calculate actually pogba performance in manchester is quite bad because the contribution he gave was not in accordance with the purchase which was quite expensive at that time, during 6 seasons with manchester maybe only the 2019 season which he did quite well but after and before if we look at the performance is quite bad , his current move to juventus in my opinion is the right step because indeed he can play a more active role at juventus which does have a less aggressive style of football, if you look at the statistics of his playing time this season, in fact, pogba gets quite a lot of playing time which is around 20 matches but he was only able to create 1 goal and 9 assists, in my opinion, pogba is not suitable at all to playing in the EPL which has an aggressive style of play and  I think that is what has caused the performance of pogba to decline drastically so far.

20 matches is a bit of a chance if look at his overall appearance, the first season Pogba get 30 playing chances and didn't contribute too much because it was the first season, the next season get 27 playing chances aand there began to see Pogba's contribution to Manchester United with 6 goals and 10 assists, and in the 2020 season, Pogba only appeared in 16 match and his performance began to show a decline. If we look at the aggressive style of the EPL, Pogba is one of the aggressive players of Manchester United, I always follow the important matches of Manchester United.

I agree that Pogba's career will be better if he leaves Manchester United, but I do not agree that Pogba is considered not to contribute to Manchester United. At least if want to see his contribution, we have to look at his overall performance at Manchester United with the way he plays building attacks, goal contributions and assists.
