I think what he tried to say is that Liverpool is much more interested in winning the Champions League Trophy rather than winning the English Premier League title. I really don't think Liverpool is going to lose in the upcoming matches in English Premier League because I really don't believe the opponent that they will be facing are at that level. But I still believe that Manchester City is going to be the winners of the English Premier League unless they lose.

Arsenal needs to make some changes in the squad if they actually want to compete at the best with the best. we have seen that whenever they are facing games from the top like Manchester City, or Liverpool they can be almost counted as an underdog in those matches. and they really don't play well in those matches.
but with some changes in the squad, that team is going to play more aggressively and that is going to help them in the long run.

Arteta extending his contract with Arsenal is good news for them because I believe he is going to do what's best for the club.

If Arsenal eventually qualify for next season UCL they will definitely sign new players to compliment the existing ones, Lacazette is likely leaving for new club thus Arsenal needed to sign a quality striker with Nketiah as an option, while their midfield needed some strengthening with Xhaka, Partey and Elneney as the only reliable midfielders injury to two of them is always a disaster to the club Lokonga is not experience enough to play EPL.
Arteta signing a contract extension is a welcome development, the club made a remarkable progress this season after a poor start in the beginning of the season infact they had won more EPL matches than Chelsea this season.

Manchester City did lose but it was a Champions League match not an English Premier League match. They did lose and just because they lost against a team like Real Madrid does not mean that there will be a down in morale in the match against Newcastle United.

But that loss was really heartbreaking for Manchester City because they lost the match absolutely at the end. On the brighter side, Manchester City does not have anything except for the English Premier League to worry about right now and I think they will lose their best power to win the league title. so it is surely going to be a really hard match for Newcastle.

Definitely. Clubs too often sack the manager after a few bad results, and then have to start again with a completely new manager. Simple continuity can have huge benefits, and is really under-rated. Whenever a new manager is brought in anywhere, they inherit the previous manager's team, so they have to start rebuilding the team to suit their own desires... which often means a lot of new faces, and some ill-feeling in the dressing room about old friends being let go... and when the newly put together team doesn't click instantly, the manager is sacked, and the whole process begins again.

Arteta is doing pretty well, I'm glad he's staying.

But at least with Arteta being able to bring Arsenal to compete in the top five it is good, because Arsenal started the season not so well and also the competition in the top EPL standings now and for the following seasons will certainly be a very tight competition. Hopefully with this contract extension at least Arsenal can be more consistent, because if a team keeps changing coaches then the destruction may happen to the team as happened with other red teams who have lots of expensive players but don't show good performances during changing coaches.

They have been taught by Arteta and they will feel happy with the contract extension for Arteta. Because if they have to work with a new coach, their positions will be reconsidered by a new coach and they will have to adapt to a new tactics too. There is no other choice for Manchester City but to win, because if they get a draw then they are in trouble. They have to forget their defeat to Real Madrid because it can damage their concentration during the match. Now they are getting closer to the title, don't let small mistakes make them regret later. I believe Manchester City can do it.
