From Manchester United's previous unstable performance I know man city was going to have an upper hand in the game and haven't scored an early goal in the match ending the first half of the game with 2 goals and adding an extra 2 in the second half was historic Manchester city will retain it number 1 spot with their present performance.
Again and again Manchester United played badly, yes they had to lose heavily to Manchester City. I'm not really surprised if Manchester United lose this game. What I regret is the way they play which is far from good. Not just this once, even with the team under them Manchester United was not satisfactory. I think if Manchester United gets an opponent at their level, Manchester United will continue to lose.

Man City was really dominated the match with 70% ball possessions and 10 shots on goals so 4-1 final score is deserved for them and before the match begin i was worried about unstable performance from Man Utd that's why i don't dare to bet on them and unfortunately it was happend that Man Utd playing bad although there was several chance to scoring goals but Man Utd players cannot utilized it
@bering I was hopelessly positive about them drawing or causing an upset by winning this fixture, but it felt like they surrendered this game way too easily, and I guess unless the new manger doesn’t come there’s no real hope left for this squad.

The players' quality of Manchester City should be better than Manchester United. So, it is very reasonable if Manchester City wins the match, no doubt if they can play better. Yes, City needs 3 points in this match, it is very crucial that they are competing with Liverpool for 1st place. We also need to understand Manchester United attack is weak, Ronaldo and Cavani were absent because of injured.

You are right. It is easy to predict Man United will lose in this match since they play against Man City in Etihad Stadium (Man City home). Moreover, Man City is in a good shape lately, it will be very difficult for Man United to beat them. But, I am surprised with the stats and with the number of goals. Man United only made 5 shots, while Man City can make 24 shots during the match. We know Man City should dominate the match, but Man United performance was too bad in this match. How can Man United players only make 5 shot attempts during the match? 
Anway, they are lucky to score 1 goal from 5 shot attempts.

Man its not about the player quality, its more like the chemistry between them. In this big and high level clubs all the player are mega starts.
The chemistry among the players is important, but the players' quality has a big role as well. Even they play solidly and having good chemistry, they won't win the match if having bad players quality. You need to have quality players to score and make good assists in a big match like City vs United. Anyway, not all mega stars, only a few payers can be called as superstars. In City, we can call De Bruyne as a superstar, while in United we can call Ronaldo as a superstar.

As much as i hope that wasn't the problem, i kind of imagine it is something Ronaldo can do which makes me believe such report, i have been complaining about Ronaldo's body language for a while now, especially when he doesn't score, doesn't start, or is substituted, he makes it look more like it is about him than the team, and if you've been watching football for as long as possible, you'll understand the team will always come first before any player. "Players come and go, but the team remains". If this is true, then disciplinary action should be expected, and right now it looks like Ronaldo will prolly leave the team at the end of the season.

I was expecting that manchester united could come up with a reeal surprise against manchester city but yeah it seems pep team much strong mentally and statistically.

United are not in their best form currently. Ragnick needs to sign new players inother to build the team. The team needs some tactical changes. Top players are not always available when needed. Check out the match against city today, fans where hoping to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Cavani in United line-up, but what happened, they didn't show up.Rather youngster was use like Elanga , who is still struggling to fit-in the big boys game. Exactly. Man United stats was too bad. I'm surprised Man United played like a small team in EPL. Another surprise, Rashford wasn't a starter in this match, he played from the bench. Man United coach prefers to put Fernandes as a central forward in the 1st half. apart from only having 5 shots on goal, MU also for more than 90 minutes only had low ball possession statistics.
Man United players only take 30% ball possession, the same as EPL small team usually did. I don't know what's wrong with Man United players, they have Pogba, Fernandes, and Sancho, why these players cannot show their best in controlling the ball. I think they play individually, not as a team. So, that's why Man United is very bad in ball possession.

.... It is now clear that United will not qualify for the Champions League next year - Arsenal are one point ahead but they have three games in hand.
I said it before that Man United were solidifying their position as fifth place when they were having a good run since their prior position at fourth place was misleading to begin with. They were already ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham by a few games that time. As expected, a clear and well deserved City win. One of the rare occasions in which I wanted United to get a good result but it was a one-way game from the start - even when Sancho scored the equaliser.

Yes it was, some of the posts I'm reading seem to be taking the glory from Manchester City and blaming Manchester United for losing the derby. I was expecting to see Ronaldo starting the match. We don't know what happened in the locker room we can only wait for Ronaldo's side of the story. I always believed Rangnick is not utilizing Ronaldo full potential he looks limited unlike his regular self
