Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
I'm still surprised what has really happened to Manchester City not to win against Southampton , well that's  football for you, winning can not always be on your side. They still did their best in the game.
Seeing Man City 1 goal behind Southampton most of the game was disturbing. They managed to score at the second half and I was expecting another goal honestly but this doesn't happen and 1 point is better than nothing. Their good record was stopped by Southampton today, and they are 6 goals in front of Liverpool assuming they will win their 2 missed games.
I knew that Manchester City would drop points at some points but I least expected that it would be against Southampton.
But this draw today actually shows that Manchester City are not invincible. Anything can happen, Liverpool can catch up with Manchester City.
England of possibilities.
Meanwhile, kudos to Manchester United, we are keeping the hope alive.

Virgin Time worked for the Devils this time, when he gifted them a hard-earned victory over West Ham at the last second with the feet of Rashford .
United was better along the line, but he missed the goal, that made him closer to conceding a goal in return, but Sochik's header, which refused to enter, Marcus met it from there with the embodiment and punished them for everything that was lost.
Defensively, the team is still there, but offensively, there is nothing wrong with the amount of danger that United created in the front slit  and we realize that some of that is calculated for Mr. Ralph when we see the effectiveness added by the substitutes upon their entry. Ronaldo always has a secret, and it is impossible for him to be useless and the entry of Edinson was enough to turn the table on West Ham and Marcus in the second post confirms that Manchester is back to the origin.
When will that happen while my hair is white from the long wait .

I think Manchester City tired their best by equalizing the score. Although they were the favourite in the game, but unfortunately for them they couldn't win. Southampton did a great job by resisting City. The draw score came as a big surprise, because we all expected City to win as usual. However, despite losing the game, Manchester City are still leading the  Premier League table, and are currently 12 points from Liverpool. Southampton were indeed lucky today.
It was a lucky day for Southampton. After their first goal lead Manchester city gave them a big margin both in attempts , possession, corner infact it was more like a training ground for city. Southampton were lucky enough to have had their first goal else it would have been a straight win. At some point Southampton tried playing defensive attack but city still found their way with the equalizing goal.

It is unbelievable that Southampton is managing to reach positions equal to Leicester, last season Leicester were in a very good position, who could have imagined that this season licester would be fighting Southampton for positions 11 and 12 with the same points.

Surprising manchester united is in position 4

it was strange because Manchester City seemed to be pressing all the time but the opponents were either defending well or City were doing something wrong.
Nothing wrong, bro. Although City has done a full attack, doesn't mean they must score. If the opponents' players have a solid defense, City may get nothing. It is the same as tiki-taka in Barcelona, even if they control the match and dominate the ball possession every time, doesn't guarantee to win if the opponents have good defenders and can do a great counter-attack. Today, Southampton defenders show their best performance, they deserve to get 1 point from this match.

Massive success for southampton to hold city down ... even they leading for 60 minutes ! too bad, manchester city crazy pressing makes them to conceded an expensive goal in the last 25 minutes of the game , i was happy manchester city going to dropped 3 points but yeah it's pep tactics and a tough one to break.

at least .. the odds for manchester city to win premier league get increased with this draw and there is a wide open chance for liverpool and chelsea to compete , 4 more draw come on city  Grin

And in the end Manchester City failed to maintain their winning streak today vs Southampton. I don't think they have to end this match with a draw because I can see that they dominate more than 70% possession but that doesn't guarantee them to win.

I've been waiting for them to not get full 3 points but I didnt expect that it would come from Southampton lol. Well this is not really going to affect them that much but atleast its a good start though, few more bad games for Manchester City then we'll see how it turns though. At the moment, it seems that City is winning the league and its kinda lame

We obviously dont want EPL to turn into Ligue 1 isnt it

Southampton has never been easy task for big clubs specially after their fight back in recent matches as they have 8 points from last five matches meaning they are in good shape for fighting back into middle of league table with very poor start of this season and having very poor results for very long time.

Today they were very good against top quality attack from Manchester city with these points now Liverpool having some good time for shortening this gape and having good fight for this year's title race even it's not easy but still good for these teams. In second half most of time Southampton were good in defense but sadly their players unable to stop Manchester City attack for having one valuable point from this match.

Southampton holding Manchester city to a 1 all draw in 70 minutes who would have predicted this one... I guess these guys have had enough of losing and decided to flip the script by holding city, maybe they might actually go on to win this game lets watch this space... Come Southampton give these guys a game.
Southampton have given Manchester City a game with 75% ball possession so far and 1-1 as the provisional scoreline. I'm not sure about the draw, but maybe it would have been if Southampton hadn't made some defensive mistakes. But the possibility of Manchester City to win is still very possible even though there are 10 minutes remaining in this second half. I have a 1-2 prediction for Manchester City to win, but let's see if Manchester City disappoints me or makes me happy.
Unfortunately Manchester City failed to beat the hosts Southampton and
12 consecutive wins in the Premier League this season ended at Southampton.
A very interesting match because Southampton were able to compete with the good game of Manchester City and also had a good defense and the final score was 1-1, and Southampton's goal was scored by Kyle Walker-Peters in the 7th minute, while the goal from Manchester was scored by Aymeric Laporte in the 7th minute. 65th minute.
Football is a game of thrills and quite unpredictable. Manchester City has had a good run with several wins against various top side until today events with Southampton. It was quite a game full of strategy from Southampton to hoard Pep Guardiola’s team from unleashing their unique creativity and goal scoring abilities. Despite all these it is certain that Manchester City are going to be the premier league champions at the end of the season.

Indeed 1 point is much better than nothing so Manchester City can still maintain its unbeaten record. They still lead by quite a few points from their rivals, they are still safe and that's not at all unsettling.

I don't know what they lacked in this match, watched it live, it was strange because Manchester City seemed to be pressing all the time but the opponents were either defending well or City were doing something wrong. Liverpool are likely to win the next game, but with Leicester will have to struggle, because the Foxes play against such opponents very assertively, fight to the end and try to win, so it is possible that the gap will be not 6 points, but 9 or 10

Seeing Manchester United winning in the last hour gives me too much joy at heart.
Two goals in the last two games for Marcus Rashford, I'm just happy, Harry Maguire was excellent today, winning over 98 percent of his tackles.
The midfield and defender's did more of the job today, too many forward passes from Fred and less ball losses.. Mac tominay playing for Manchester United with all of he's heart. Big applause to Diego Dalot

Manchester City trailed by 1 goal, not even half the half they had to accept an unexpected goal. Southampton game even though it wasn't too superior, here the control of the field is still dominated by Man City but the 7th minute made everything change as if Man City had not found a gap they could take advantage of. I believe Man City can turn things around to equalize in the first half.
We all know after man city conceded a goal in the early minutes of the first half, he remaining minutes of the match will belong to them with high pressing and enough possession. And that has been the case, they’ve managed to level things up after missing some good chances and hitting the wood work couple of times as well so I am sure they might end up winning this game, we’ve all seen man city come from behind and win couple of times.

The problem with city is that they minimise certain teams forgetting to know that, if you want to win the premier League you need to play every day and every team as if it was the champions League final. They are over confident whenever they meet small teams. Whereas, there will be only a 6 point difference between them and Liverpool. I respect Southampton, they defended very well with everything but they are very poor upfront. Considering the way Manchester City plays football, a draw is a perfect result for the saints. Gutted Saints didn't win but am still proud of them for a brave performance against a ruthless Man City side especially since they chasing the Premier League title. But much more classic result for Liverpool and Chelsea, 2 good points taken away.

Norwich game was one that Watford had to win so badly. They became an "elevator team", I do not know if that is a thing in English but in my language we call these teams elevator teams. Teams that go to higher division, then drop to lower, then go to higher and drop again and do this more frequently than people are used to.

Just from the top of my head, I remember Watford dropping to lower division 3 times and going higher 3 times so far and this will be their fourth relegation that I can remember. You do not really have teams do it this frequently, one of the main reasons is that teams who relegate do not go up right back up, it takes them a few years, Leeds literally spent 15 or so seasons there right? So, it is not really that easy to go back up right away, but Watford proved time and time again they were better than championship level, but they are not enough for premier league.

Although K.bruyne scored the second goal, Manchester city could not score the second goal. It was really interesting that they could dominate so many matches and not score one more goal. This loss shouldn't matter for the city, they still have a serious point gap with the second. From this match, Guardiola should focus on the shortcomings of his team and work harder, that's it.
I really think Southampton are just lucky not to concede a lot of goals in this match against Manchester City. Of course Manchester City played better based on how they dominated this match until the end. Southampton didn't have many chances and they could only defend well and close space for City's players to score. Good defense is the way to get points from Manchester City and Southampton did it today.

But I'm not too disappointed today because from the start I saw the possibility of a draw. Some sports betting sites give City more than 3 odds, while they also give the same odds on a draw, I think that's rarely the case so far. But even if City have to accept a draw, it won't have much impact on their chances of staying in the lead without too much pressure.

Rashford closing score was so shocking. That was quite good because throughout the second half Bruno and Telles always failed to execute a kick because it was too selfish to force a long-range shot that didn't matter at all. The presence of Cavani provided an ideal pass and ended with a goal in a crucial minute.
Quite a dramatic match. The last minute becomes a very tense battle, both teams take turns attacking but in the end, good teamwork from Man United's attacking line can lead to a goal and this is enough for Man United to gain 3 full points. With this result, Man United managed to snatch 4th place from West Ham.
I think a draw would have been a fair and better result, because Westham fought really hard and played well although they weren’t too clinical just as Manchester United. And from my perspective the goal seems like an offside goal and the VAR didn’t bother to check it, maybe they needed Manchester United to win as well. Congratulations to them anyways, they are at 4th position right now and have manage to keep their next season champions league hopes alive.
In front of Manchester United on February 9th it will be against Burnley and I think that would be a pretty good added point. At least it won't be too small to score. Moreover, Burnley is not a strong squad for a club as big as Manchester United. Being in 4th position makes them have to cultivate an optimistic spirit. There's still a lot for Rangnick to work on to focus more on the entertaining game.
