The way Chelsea played, they had no chance to win this game. The first half goes to waste without a single shot on-off target and after they concede the goal, they look like they were in some practice match, like nothing happen. Very poor performance from a team that chases the title... With this win, I doubt that Man City will lose the championship.

The final whistle is gone and its a Manchester City 1-0 Chelsea. Its a solely deserved Manchester City win as Chelsea didn't pose much of a challenge. Don't know but Chelsea was really disappointing today, they weren't able to coordinate there play and playing defense with against an attacking team like Manchester City while hoping on counter attack, with no proper player that could sprint for a counter attack was just a wrong tactics towards this game.
Chelsea didn't play like a team that had plans on winning this game, I think a draw was all they sort for.

I think by now, we could conclusively state that, the EPL trophy is now closed to any form of contesting as Manchester City has got all leads to secure the trophy covered. This game was one chance to steal points off Manchester City but, Pep didn't plan on losing any.

A sad result, City won, and taking into account the fact that Liverpool is almost guaranteed to lose points in the next matches (due to the African Cup), we can say that City has come off an unattainable distance and the issue of the championship is closed.

This game, the Manchester vs Chelsea fixtures is not going in anyway as Chelsea would have hoped or as Thomas Tuchel might have planned it. Just tii many unnecessary errors from M. Kovacic, Marcos Alonso and H. Ziyech on his part haven't been able to keep up with the pace. Walker has just been heavily on H. Ziyech over possession of the ball and has succeeded alot.

Good enough, Thomas Tuchel has made some changes and brought in T. Werner with H. Odoi into the game to meet up with the pace the bad news now is, Chelsea is a goal behind and its just few minutes to stoppage time. Chelsea is now coming out strong and we can hope on seeing a goal from them though, a draw would still play into City's plan and that's that's best that could be hoped for.

Expected a lot more from this match honestly. First half was really boring Chelsea just defended. Now in second half after De Bruyne scored an amazing goal Chelsea started to attack and have takenover the match,the only question is can they score a goal.

Without a proper striker City are finding it difficult to score but I think this might change in second half. Not working keep using false nine as forward position because Primer league have counter attack style and will difficulty for City if keep trying with false nine position. I think Phil Foden is not as target men he usually playing as left and right winger position but Pep Guardiola still use his as forward. Almost two weeks windows transfer opening Manchester City still not looking for new forward position and just have an issues with Haaland only but never have announcement both side get agreement. Looks more boring match between Manchester City vs Chelsea and both team not scoring any goal almost 70th minutes game playing.

I guessed this from the beginning. Man city will dominate the ball, chelsea relying on counter-attacks. But so far Chelsea have not been effective in counter-attacking. There are even some players who look unsettled if he control ball. They can not control the ball freely because Man City do a quick presing if they lose the ball. Chelsea didn't even have a kick on goal. With Six corners, Man City dominated in the first half.

What a boring first half... Man City tries to score mostly from inside the box with only 3 shots on target, while Chelsea doesn't make even one attempt. Besides the "chance" being made from the strength of Lukaku (what an awful pass that was...), Chelsea has nothing to show. Not even a corner. If they continue this way, the second half will be a nightmare for them since it's more than certain that Man City will enter to attack.

I won't say there haven't been a dangerous chance. Infact, put themselves too far in the line with the loosed ball from M. Kovacic that was slightly deflected from the net by A. Kappa's feet. That's probably the best chance in the game so far, Manchester City isn't giving Chelsea much of a chance as Chelsea is playing more of defence while hoping on a counter attack for an offense but so far, its just not coming.
It's all being Manchester City within and close to the Chelsea 18yard box and the only amazing thing so far is, how Chelsea have been able to sustain the pressure from Manchester City and control ball around there halve. It's been interesting thus far though.

I wasn't just saying I was analyzing out of facts seeing how Chelsea began the match. First half ended with no attempt from Chelsea not even a corner kick. I'm not under rating Chelsea ability to win the game but the chances are very slim. City had 5 good shots and 3 on target. K. Arizabalaga made a great save against Geralish attempt a significant one to recon. Chelsea are trying too hard with their defense but the aren't making much counter attack. Breaking through the midfield is a big challenge.
