I agree. There is still a long way ahead of Newcastle. It is obvious that they can't do anything with the current squad. They need to make some additions and it should be as many as possible in this January transfer window. Maybe they won't be able to go for too big transfers already now but they can still sign talented players. And if the team composition gets better in a short time, they can revert things and stay in the Premier League.

Newcastle got another huge defeat against Leicester in an away game this time. It was a 4-0 loss and Newcastle had really nothing to be able to prevent it. Actually, they found so many goal chances but they had 25% success on their shot-on-target attempts. They defeated Burnley last week by 1-0 and I thought that this would be a good thing for them to start having a better form. But Leicester were a really tough opponent in the end. And their next game is also going to be a very difficult away game against Liverpool.

AFAIK,there was a big prize for the team,that wins Championship.It was 150 million pounds,if I remember this correctly.This might cover some of the costs.Such large sum should be enough for buying several world class players.
3.AFAIK,the new owners of Newcastle don't care about the football club only.They have some business interests in Newcastle and they want to expand their real estate business in that town.
Chelsea and Man City weren't successful right away,after Abramovich and the Arab billionaires arrived.They had to wait for a year or two.
Newcastle will be fine in the long term.

The only option for Newcastle to remain in EPL and avoid relegation is to sign some new quality players come January transfer window, fortunately the owners are very rich and can afford to buy talented players, Howe is trying his best to reform the club thus I am not surprised that they are well beaten by Leceister City who had also struggled lately, it's good to watch Tielemans scoring two goals after recovering from calf injury, I believed his absence in their culminated to their bad performance so far in the league.

Crystal palace didn't give Everton any breathing space, the game was hard for ever their defense was not impressive at all. Seems the problem maybe from the coach too for them to lose with no even a goal .

For now Newcastle are expecting the transfer market to open soon, so they can bring in new players. That way maybe a game change can happen
and Newcastle can start to win. If we expect the current squad, we really can't hope for anything. I agree Newcastle also need a bit of a miracle to
stay in the Premier League. Hopefully some of the teams that are above Newcastle experience many defeats too, in order to open up a little chance
for Newcastle to survive in the Premier League. Because if Newcastle don't play in the Premier League next season, it will be difficult to convince
star players to join Newcastle. So I'm very curious when the transfer window opens, which new players they will try to bring in.

Four losses out of five matches caused them to drop to bottom half of the table but you have to take a look at the teams they faced before losing badly to Crystal palace. Losing to Brentford was probably the other least expected result but they've won against Arsenal while losing to City and Liverpool. Those are not easy matches.

Expect them to drop more points when they face Chelsea next.

Chelsea have been quite inconsistent when we take the previous weeks into account. They had unpleasant results lately and they needed a boost to gather strength. And they got the boost needed against Leeds with a 3-2 victory. But it was a very difficult game for them at the same time also. Leeds were so close to drawing with Chelsea with a 2-2 result but Jorginho saved the team.

despite play against 10 men manchester can only win with 1 goal difference while liverpool once again saved by divock origi at the very last minute, chelsea almost got a draw even left behind first , 3 penalty in this crazy game that was unexpected... jorginho luckily successful converted those two penalties.

if you look at the actual appearance of chelsea, city and liverpool they actually looked good and were not underperforming but indeed their opponents also couldn't be underestimated which made it difficult for them to score goals.

btw Liverpool's goal was scored by Salah through a penalty. The original goal in the last minute was Liverpool's previous game when they were against Wolves

I know it is weird to see these huge clubs to be saved by penalties and all of them at the same week so it looks a bit complicated and begs the question if there were anything going on? You know like under the table hidden stuff that allowed these teams to win?

I can't say that there were or there were not since I would not be able to hear about it even if refs or anyone did something like that, but if you look at the penalties they all look like legit penalties. Like which one would you not give? Be honest, they were all proper fouls that required penalty. And as obvious from the results these big clubs all have at least one penalty tacker that is great at what they do.
