I don't know how you'll interpret the stats but they had a pretty dominant game in terms of possession and chances. I was just a bit surprised that the new manager focused on controlling the center of the pitch.
Not a bad decision to focus on controlling the match by dominating ball possession. I am sure that Rangnick was aware of dominating it to give a smaller chance for the opponent to attack and improve Man United players' chance to score. Crystal Palace has good attackers, Benteke, Zaha, and Ayew. By dominating the ball possession, these attackers have a small chance to score. While more passes and chances for CR7 or Rashford to score.

I think Rangnick is a smart coach.  Smiley

Because it's an important part to focus on controlling the game and Rangnick what to do despite possession in midfield to open up a roar for scoring opportunities, I also believe that Rangnick can change Manchester United in the current season after a bad period under Ole.
Rangnick is still quite lucky with his future because he will not be faced with a strong opponent, in the EPL even in the last UCL will be against the Young Boys who are certain to qualify.

Manchester United are really on the rise now. It was Ralf Rangnick's first game with the team also and it must be very pleasing for him to get his first win in his first game. It was a 1-0 win though but their effort was not bad. By defeating Crystal Palace 1-0, Manchester United are maintaining their win streak. This is their second win in a row and as long as they play focusedly they can continue on this win streak. They need to pull themselves together so bad and they are doing a quite good job so far.
I feel not any special with a new coach and formation. They look hard to get 3 points. But when we look at how the players try to not lose the ball, Rackning has been successful to apply his strategy. MU has 62% ball possession and 82% accurate passing, it seems different like before, we can see the big progress to resolve the problem of MU, and how Rackning tries to match each other.

Manchester United's pattern of play was very impressive tonight despite only winning 1-0 through Fred's goal. The pattern of the game with tight pressing is enough to make Palace overwhelmed and unable to control the ball freely. It's just that the pattern of the game with tight pressing requires extra stamina and players are required to keep moving for 90 minutes.
Crystal palace did play well too their defense was tough with Manchester United . My goal prediction for the match is still correct with the result of the match.  Manchester United made a good strategy.

The new coach doesn't seem to have fully contributed yet, so for me this is just the beginning and with the support and encouragement from all the Man United players it can get even better. Especially with developments that are at the most ideal stage to compensate for disappointment. In fact today, even with a narrow score, Man United will continue to pursue the top 5 target for a while. Only 1 point behind Tottenham, maybe it can be easier to catch up.

Who deserves  the most credit here, Crystal Palace who defended quite well on uniteds turf or Manchester United who hard a tough time trying to break palaces defence? Anyway both put up a good fight and United came out on top which was a result that removed pressure off the managers first game. Imagine if United lost, it would have been a different story.
Actually, Rangnik became the first German coach who managed to start the English championship with a victory. For example, neither the Bug nor Tuchel managed to do this. Although, of course, this is only a local success, which so far says nothing about Rangnik's future as a coach in England. Also, Rangnik himself was quite critical before the match about the level of play of his players, that he must accept the existing level of players and will not be able to turn his players into pressure nostrums in two, three or four weeks. It is also worth recalling that Crystal Palace is not so simple and has already beaten Tottenham 3-0 and won against Manchester City 2-0.

Oh wow yeah the greatest record to have 2 winning streak and a hard fought 1-0 to a mediocre team. lol
Dont forget that manchester united sit at 6th now.
get back to me and say it very loud when manchester united successfully made at least 10 winning streaks , you may free to express your overconfidence in front of my face , there is too much work to do rather than too early to celebrate and being that so confident.

i respect everyone at manchester united , they are all great in their time but not now not today.

...Manchester United 1 : 0 Crystal Palace

It's unbelievable that even they playing in an unpleasant way they can be winning important games
Care to elaborate how their style of play against Palace is unpleasant?

Jordan Ayew unbelievably missed a great chance to score from close range for CP but United could have two or three.

Tuchel has had a difficult few months after losing all of his attacking players to injury, and he has had to rely on his wing backs to win games. Recently, two of his goal scoring wing backs have been injured, and one is likely out for the season, plus Pulisic, Lukaku, and Wener are all struggling with match fitness, so everything is just complicated at the moment. It was a good game, but they got disfigured in the second half.

What's going on with Chelsea? They had a draw with United, then barely managed to beat Watford and now lost to West Ham. I get that they can't win all the games but they are looking more and more like a third place winner once again.

something irritating that I noticed in chelsea Is that they spend a lot of time with the ball precisely in defense and the mistakes that chelsea's goalkeeper made was what caused chelsea to lose the game. in my opinion chelsea needs to spend less time with the good one and go on the attack and the goalkeeper needs to be more attentive and make few mistakes, next game and against Leeds I think they will be able to win, leeds plays similarly to chelsea

I think Antonio Conte deserves to be the manager of the month, sin e taking over at Tottenham hotspur the te has totally changed, they are now 5th in the league and are winning their english premier marches back to back, I think everyone should be ready for a hardcore premier league, Tottenham are showing to be a contender for the league too. I personally respect Antonio Conte as a coach and I think he would have been a very much better option for Manchester United than the coach they have now.
It's too late to talk about the option for Manchester United, at least for now. Yes, Tottenham has changed a lot with the arrival of Comte, even watching their matches has become more interesting, the players are charged on the game,  they pressing and attack a lot. I think that the match on December 19 will be indicative, when Tottenham will play with Liverpool. And if Tottenham can win in this match, or at least not lose, then it will be possible to talk of great success for Conte.
Good to see to Tottenham gradually climbing the EPL table and now fifth however there is still a lot of work to be done by Conte, so far they had not a play against any formidable opponents, played against Leeds, Norwich and Brentford, hopefully if they get a favorable result when they play Liverpool then I will begin to rate them as a top 4 contenders, even in today's match Norwich played well had more possessions and had opportunities of scoring goals but the trio of Idaho, pukki and Josh Sargent missed them.

It's no wonder that Tottenham won from Norwich, because Tottenham had to be ready for an onslaught from Liverpool after facing Brighton. Even though they haven't gotten a position yet because a big threat awaits them in front of their eyes. For Tottenham the road so far has been a pretty smooth one, but going forward I'm not sure Conte can overcome tough opposition from top clubs.

Is too early to think that Antonio Conte can win the premier League with Tottenham Hotspur,he is building the fitness and improving his players performance,so I think is step by step but thinking he can challenge for the title is a height to big for Tottenham. Yea Manchester United really lose for not taking Conte when had the chance he would have make them stronger since they have the better squad.

Tottenham won't be a contender for the title. The top is just too strong right now. That is completely unrealistic to me. If you say it is too early, I am pretty sure it is not even going to happen during the next couple of years. They would have to beat Liverpool, Chelsea and City over the course of a whole season. I know that Leicester did it once and that was a fairytale, but the top three are currently performing out of this world. They may lose 4 to 5 games the whole season, if at all.

I mean City and Liverpool is doing so well and they may fight for a title between each other again if Chelsea keeps this up. West Ham is fourth in the league so they are not like some "who are they" team at all, I get that, but when you want to win a championship over City and LFC then you need to beat every team you face, you can't just lose points unexpectedly. Hell even Arsenal is getting closer these days and I do not know if they can keep this up but if this momentum of both teams continues then I could see Arsenal trying to take that third place, which I know is unlikely but could become possible if Chelsea keeps dropping points.

Manchester United and Tottenham played their games today. The opponents respectively were Crystal Palace and Norwich. They both were piece-of-cake for the favourite teams. And the results showed it also. Maybe Manchester United won only by 1-0 but they played much  better than their opponent and deserved it. And Tottenham got a comfortable 3-0 win. Kane didn't score but they are still doing good with Conte.
Tottenham continued their winning streak. They have so far won in their last 3 matches. And their performance today was great, am really impressed. Although, Norwich City is a weak team, they are at the bottom of the standings, with terrible performance. While Manchester United played the first half of their match today without securing any goal, Crystal Palace had a good defense, which made the match quite tough. But, fortunately for United, Fred scored at the 77th minutes in the second half. Which earned them 3 points. Today's matches were interesting.
