Brentford has had great home statistics and it was obvious that they will get their chances, but the decisive point is that they have to use those opportunities or otherwise Arsenal will strike back and score the goal. Underdogs usually don't get plenty of chances in these games and while I think Brentford wasn't a real underdog here, they still are not in a position which allows them to waste a lot of chances. If they do, then they lose. This is what was going on here and then Arsenal was smart and they created more chances too. Ball possession was about equal, but Arsenal made more out of the chances they had.

I also believe there is a lot of chaos going on at Man City, we only know a small part of it through the news, probably including allegations of FFP violations. The losing streak is unprecedented in Pep Guardiola reign, even the manager looks very frustrated when his team struggles to win. Injuries to key players are another factor in Man City decline, many assume Rodri is very important in Pep Guardiola game plan.

Man Utd are an awful team at the moment but this is football, anything can happen. I think and hope Liverpool will win but you never know.
