It was an important win for Manchester City against Chelsea but they are still too far away from championship race. Liverpool and Manchester United already made 7 points difference, it's hard to fill that gap.

Arsenal got a good come back, they have 3 wins in a row. We talked about different things 3 match-weeks ago. The pressure over Arteta's shoulders is lower now.

Party time. 

I literally had to put the money in my pocket to pay for 10 friends' drinks today after Manchester City won the game. This is a very pleasant expression after the many sneers that have been coming at me since this morning. Time to return the sneer with a slightly gentle tone. Exhilarating.

Chelsea is drowning, until now it has only 4 points in the last 5 games in addition to this one. Poor performance and no luck, made them look so pity while they were contender for the title at some point! Man City is advancing in a steady manner without forgetting that they still lacks one more game comparing to LFC, ManU and Spurs. ~25 minutes left including the extra times and we can say that Chelsea needs a miracle to at least tie.

Some schoolboy defending from Chelsea this guys are getting our club legend sacked in 2021. Mancity are playing a league cup match against Wigan this is the kind of feeling I'm having watching this game. We have finally replaced Arsenal 

I didn't know sheffield was owned by a prince, I have heard news about Newcastle United being sold, but that failed as far as I know (I just checked on google, it did failed) and it was the only team I know that would be sold as a whole.

Looking at Sheffield right now, they are at the bottom of the pit, and there is no way they could go up anymore, which tells me two things ; 1) team owner is a rich person but he has spent a lot already and didn't get anything in return so he decided not to put any more money since club is bone dry financially , 2) team is not generating enough income to keep going, in order for a team to be at least semi-decent it needs to generate some income and spend that income back on the team, without any decent income you can't get decent players and this is the result. So I feel it is a financial situation for them instead of just management related nor even players.

When Chelsea lost against the arsenal I already suspected that they were not well and then they drew against Aston villa and I already imagined that they would lose if they played with teams like City or Liverpool. I think that if that situation remains in the next 4 games then Lampard situation will be much more bad than the current one, he will be under pressure from fans

In fact I think this can add another goal for Manchester City really did not expect mancity to be easier in the first half with 3 goals.
Timo Werner is getting more and more depressed after finding out about the situation in the EPL. Maybe it's not the time yet or is it true that Chelsea has no direction?

It could have been more, Chelsea are in utter shambles... I've not seen Man City playing so relaxed and not bothered... It's halftime already but maybe Lampard's team talk at halftime would have an impact, LOL  

Chelsea defence are giving so much space for City to find their players and take shots. Lot of holes in defence and that gave wonderful opportunities for City to score. Also there were some good chances like De Bruyne one which was not taken. Really not a defensive display I was hoping that Chelsea would put against City.

You are not expecting Chelsea to score 3 goals and City will not do anything to save the match? 😛
This match may have more 2 or 3 goals and City may score more than one.

Nothing is going right for Lampard unfortunately.

Manchester City scored their third goal. And the third goal was scored by Kevin De Bruyne. Very talented and one of my favorite midfielder. Manchester City has scored 3 goals before half time. Hopefully, they will win this match easily unless there is a miracle happening in the second half. The most interesting thing about this match is that till now Chelsea has not been able to do any on-target shots or off-target shots.

The game isn't over yet and I don't think it's time for fun yet. Hope Manchester City can score at least 2 additional goals to secure this victory. I'm sure Chelsea will score in this match if City don't defend well. You can see ? now 3 goals.

City scored 2 goals in 3 minutes! I see that chelsea lose before the game ended the first half. sad

Edit: Kevin De Bruyne has already scored another goal, now chelsea just have to worry about not conceding more goals because this game they already lose

Edit2: the game ended and at least chelsea managed to score 1 goal.

Manchester City is now playing against Chelsea. So far no team has been able to score a goal. The team that wins today, they will reach fourth place in the points table. I hope Man City wins today's match. Then the fight for the title will become more competitive.

Edit : What a great come back from Manchester City. Just awesome. They scored two goals in just 2 minutes. Two great goals. Gundogan scored the first goal for Man City and Philip Foden scored the second.

Of course there is a point, Sheffield United are not a big-name team in the Premier League. This would make it difficult for them to find current bitang players to buy. Even though the team owner has enough money to buy star players, there won't be many players willing to play there until the team really looks competitive enough in the league. But star players will still consider playing with big teams so that their careers don't sink easily. The final solution might be to recruit experienced players even though they are no longer a star player. I think Sheffield United will take a long time to build a better team.

By the way, as we saw, Arsenal managed to get the full point in an easy match for them today. It will be a good start to the year for them, but unfortunately it has little impact on the current standings. They are still 11th with 23 point from 17 matches so far. It is never safe for the Arsenal at the moment because the points distance from the other 4 teams is very close and if they lose in the next game then I am sure Arsenal will get closer to the relegation zone again.

For the ongoing match, I hope City can win the game by a score of more than 2 goals. I want them to do it and it will place them in the top 3 5 today. Anyone who watched the game, I hope you are entertained.

For now, Manchester City took the lead with Gundogan's goal.

Sheffield United woeful performance in the League this season has nothing to do with ownership or financing of the club. The players job is to perform and earn, the management job is to sort out ownership. I wonder why Sheffield United has not yet sacked their coach who is winless in 17 Premier League Matches.

Meanwhile, Leicester City are back in the 3rd position after winning 2-1 away at Newcastle in the early kick off today.

Interesting day in Premier League and Leicester managed to win against Newcastle that is sinking deeper and deeper with Steve Bruce.
Leicester played good and deserved to win and take 4th place in the table.

Big match tonight Chelsea vs Manchester City and I am expecting to see interesting match with goals.
City is favorite and odds are on their side but never we should never underestimate Chelsea and Frank Lampard withonly one defeat at home field.
City had few more days to rest and prepare better but they still have some injured players.
Everything is pointing to Mac City win but let's wait and see.
 

But sometimes money is not a solution, especially for small teams. At least it still takes effort to build a great team with good performance, so that it can give high achievements.

As what happened to Man city in 2008 ago, even though Man city had been acquired by a wealthy owner at that time, their manager had difficulty attracting star players to join Man city's squad. Some stars such as Kaka, Ronaldinho, and Berbatov clearly rejected the offer because they thought that Man city was just a small team that did not have a big chance to win the Premier League, even though the transfer value and salary offered by Man city were quite large.

Leicester scored a goal few minutes ago and is leading after 62 minutes vs Newcastle.

Sheffiled's success was at the cost of Saudi's dinosaur juice. The Saudi prince poured in a lot of money to bring life to this club. There were some disputes in the ownership but now Saudi Prince Abdullah is the sole owner of the club. They also had some problem with their kit sponsor from Australia.
