So many unlucky lads on Liverpool match today  Grin
What a beating by Man City. I should have been faster betting on over 2.5 while the score line was 1-0.

Pretty good odds for both Everton and Leeds. Anyone else feels this is going to end up in a draw?

I do not believe that mourinho is a guy who would stick with one system forever. I understand that defense is where he excels and I remember the time he played chelsea in a way that they literally redefined park the bus into something much major. However when you have players like kane, bale, son at the front court that is almost as good as any, I do not know many teams that have three players at the attacking side that could be better than this, there are few like maybe liverpool, or PSG for example but there are not that many.

So, it would be really idiotic if he doesn't focus more on offense, or at least focus on it until they score and switch back to defense afterwards. That is just what would make sense for everyone in the world and specially for a manager like mourinho.

And that goal ruined my party. I was almost winning a multi bet including this match where I picked Liverpool to win. It could be different if Mane goal wasn’t thwarted. I was able to get some good odd in the multi and luckily won them but the sure win one lost  Cry
I think the Liverpool vs Brighton result is something that happen unexpectedly. I firmly believed that Liverpool would win that game and never thought that they would fail in the last minute of regular time. There seem to be a lot of people who are disappointed in this match, but nevertheless it is normal in football.

Meanwhile, I'm a little relieved by the way Manchester City are playing at the moment. 3 goals in the first half I think are good enough to secure 3 point, I hope they can score more in the second half.

Liverpool poor performance continues since the 0-3 defeat in the Champions League it could have an effect on today's match.
Mainstay players such as Mane and Salah are also not optimal maybe they need more vacation.

Next Everton vs Leeds is also one of the interesting matches today , Both teams to score will be my main bet.

lol City heard that Liverpool failed to win so they woke up Tongue
3 goals in the first half vs 0 goal to Burnley which seems completely out of the game!
It was a must win for city and that's what they are definitely going to do, City have a habit of hammering Burnley at the Etihad and it's looking like it's going to be the same old story, they have won 5-0 against Shean Dyche's men at the Etihad in their last three games IIRC, I'm wondering if anyone is considering staking a 'live' bet on this game ending with that same scoreline?
I am saying this for quite some time now. Brighton is playing very good football and they are unlucky they don't have more points this season. I did not expect them to take the point from Liverpool though.
That's very true, they have been somewhat unlucky not to have more points than they currently do, and imo, the point they got today was really very deserved, Liverpool will definitely be disappointed dropping points today, but it's becoming clearer every weekend that this seasons title race is going to be as close as ever, in contrast to what we had last season.

^  Brighton played well tho.  They could start rising at the table now.  They have been playing well but just weren't getting the results.  Now they are in a couple of games.

It could be a good time to start backing them in some spots.  Smiley

^+1
I agree on that. They have good player like Trossard, Maupay, Lallana and young talents like Lamptey. Bit of unlucky start for them despite displaying good in PL but they will be going home with confidence with draw with Liverpool today. Playwise, not usually a team with below 16 position so yeah feels like they are gonna maybe have a good momentum from here onwards.
I am saying this for quite some time now. Brighton is playing very good football and they are unlucky they don't have more points this season. I did not expect them to take the point from Liverpool though. Minamino was really bad today and Robertson was guilty for very stupid penalty in the end. He could have done anything with that ball and he decided to kick it with full power and caught the foot of Brighton player.

...Aaand RIP my bets (again). We also lost the sportbet special along with it.
i also lost my single bet (-1 AHC Liverpool)  Undecided

Liverpool should loan Minamino to a team of his caliber so he can develop better cos it's simply not working out, maybe Hartlepool United or Dorking Wanderers would be a better place for him...ffs! no wonder Salah was pissed off, getting subbed when there's another player offering nothing throughout the whole game. Jota, though, this guy is legit good, exactly the player Klopp needed to rotate the front three without losing impact or goals

I've lost it big already, it's barely the weekend yet  Angry I expected a total turn up from Liverpool following their midweek shenanigans, now I can clearly see why Klopp had to bench his stars during the midweek  Cheesy

VAR drama rules out 2 goals of Liverpool but VAR awards Brighton a penalty and helps level the game! The system of VAR is literally destroying Liverpool which leads two points dropped. Brighton plays really good football, so they very deserved the point.

Mane was clearly offside and it was easy to spot and review since the goal came from a set piece, as for Salah's goal, I've got no comment and the second penalty awarded to was ridiculous if you ask, I'd say Liverpool have their own fair share of VAR working in their favor, but that's not up for discussion, VAR in general is becoming a menace to the game itself...

Penalty to Brighton at the end of the game after checking the VAR which removed 2 goals for LFC and they scored 1-1 Shocked
+ injury!
Klopp gonna have a heart attack Undecided

To be fair, Klopp has done a good job holding LFC together with this recent slew of injuries. Other managers would have crumbled, along with their games. Man United is a good example of what I'm talking about, even without many injuries, a badly performing manager will put the club in peril.
Injury to key players like Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold,  keita , Joe Gomez and  James Milner is too much to bear and a major setback to Liverpool I believe they will continue to struggle in EPL with the present Calibres of players in their squad although  their forwarders are injury-free but their defenders was hard-hit with injuries thus they will likely concedes many goals in their upcoming fixtures.

to be honest, the penalty on minute 93 'was the most unlucky moment... Cheesy
looks like this is an unlucky day for Liverpool besides a penalty at the last minute, the goal that Mane almost made was thwarted by the referee because of VAR.

I confirm. I just feel sorry for him with the already eliminated players due to injuries (+covid in some games), eliminated 2 goals by VAR, another injury today and a goal at the last minutes thanks to the VAR... This is too much to handle for a good manager Lips sealed
it could have been worse for Liverpool if Brighton didn't waste the first Penalty it would have made the hosts lose two points in this match but VAR have been in their side and managed to snatch the draw from the defending champions I knew that liverpool will concede goal but I didn't expect them to score just one goal back I feel like VAR in EPL is made to make drama. Last one so Liverpool getting some help with the VAR decision this season not so much maybe it is Spurs or Chelsea year who knows.

^^ It wasn't inches or centimetres, it was milimetres haha. Mane last season elbow, for the first implementation, then this season again for top shoulder also a new implementation of offside, Mane again. Today a shoe barely offside Bleh.

Anyway, what a nervy game this Saturday opener is. If not for Jota on his 5th consecutive scoring game, I don't know man. I mean, yeah, we had that Mane goal too (offside) but Jota won that freekick as well. Crazy game. Penalty Maupay somehow missed. Salah and Mane offside goals. Almost own goal from Robbo.

And all that to get the penalty for what kind of foul that was, I've no idea.

Call me crazy but if the spurs win this turn they create a wave of joy in the team and they can be a contender for the title till the end.

Like what happened to Leicester a few years ago, when you create the alchemy inside the team you can beat anyone even if they are stronger than you.

If Leicester did some years ago for sure Spurs can do the same thing with a better (probably) team.

Not crazy at all my friend. I personally think last game and this, Spurs are good value bets, because the bookies and the papers are underestimating them. Now the thing will be for that to continue. I think as soon as it's on everyone's lips that they'll be the favourites, that'll be their downfall. Now they just need to keep performing as much as they can without the burden of expectation. Mou being a lot more cheerful and positive is definitely helping. I truly believe it's the team chemistry too that determines how far they go. That in turn helps with mentality, with confidence, etc.

That said, the test also comes when they meet Liverpool next;)
