They still have a long way to go though to be very competitive. They need a striker. Going into the season with Hoijlond as their main striker isn't convincing to me l. Aside from a striker they also need another central midfielder. I saw the news that they are interested in Rabbiot. Rabbiot I'd be good but I think he's the kind of midfielder to rely on. They need a world-class central midfielder. Somebody who can win balls and create chances constantly. Plus, Rabbiot is not consistent enough.
I doubt Manchester United will compete for the league next season, but if they get the right players in this transfer window and the next, they might have a competitive squad, They also need Ten Hag to be his best if they hope to compete.
You're not updated then, they've signed up Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna who was Seria A young player from the recent season. ( Although, I'm not convinced with him, he need to perform consistently and at a top level in the Premier League ) I've seen him before in the Champions League playing for Bayern Munich but can't recall the season vividly. I've always said this, Rasmus Hojlund doesn't get enough services and also, he seems to have difficulties linking up with midfielder's or should I say the opposite? Maybe!
Manual Ugarte the young player from Uruguay has accepted personal terms with Manchester United. He reminds me of Manchester United legend Roy Keane, hopefully he comes in and blend with Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandez in midfied. He is a defensive midfielder, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germany are currently having negotiations for the right valuation to get him.
I'd also love Rabbiot, he's got height, it's either they bring back Sofyan Amrabat or make use of that valuation to clear up the salaries of Rabbiot to come in as a free transfer. Zubimendi the recent European Championship winner for Spain has also been mentioned as a possible transfer option coming in. All depends on Scott MC Tominay and Casemiro leaving. I love Casemiro though, he has performed at a top level consistently and has lots of experience to pass on to these young lads.
Even with the right players, I'm expecting them to finish second position or third at the end of next season. Amad Diallo, and the newly signed up Leny Yoro had a great game yesterday.
