I wouldn't compare like that exactly, I think the result of this goal difference in goals scored and conceded is due to poor tactics and match formation. They don't just need to change the coach who tried to build something all season and failed - they also need to buy players, review and rebuild the squad. I think only a new coach can do that without bias

Well in Sir Alex Ferguson era, Manchester United name was shining and things in the team weren't great after him. Ten Hag saved Manchester United in the beginning from a disastrous season and he was able to win a trophy at least this season. I wouldn't say that he was the saviour or the best choice but at least he tried but Manchester United needs more qualified players and to rely less on players that no longer can add something to the team.
I agree that a new coach and new strategies are a must to improve the team especially with a comprehensive staff that could give some money to recruit new players so a better outcome would be expected.

To be honest I don't know where it's salvageable, but since they won a trophy this season, so be it, well done Ten Hag for achieving at least that despite such poor results within the league. So far there is no news about the new coach, not even any serious rumours about a change of coach, it's sad at the moment. Well, there were rumours, but they stopped for some reason.)
It's actually very bad to see Manchester United that was once the most feared European club struggling while the current club manager thinks winning an FA Cup final is a great big feat for the club. I'm very surprised to see that Manchester United's management aren't currently in the hunting for a new replacement for Erik ten Hag because from what I've seen so far from the manager, the club will never rise above their current standard of football under the Dutchman.
Manchester United's management must as a matter of urgency go in search of a new world class manager that'll help the club become competitive again unless they just want to settle for struggling to finish in the top seven at the end of every season.

It cannot be completely certain whether Zidane will be suitable or not as manager of Manchester United because after all, there will always be a chance for every manager to succeed or perhaps fail. So, even if you are not sure that Zidane will succeed in managing Manchester United, of course that is not a definite prediction that will happen. Because after all, Erik ten Hag, who was successful in his first season and experienced a decline in his second season, is at least proof that any result is still possible. But in reality, Manchester United will still give Erik ten Hag the opportunity for a third season with Manchester United, so linking him with Zidane doesn't seem right at this moment.

Zidane name pop up whenever a vacancy is available in a top team but I didn't see much talk about this subject in media. Instead, I see Ratcliff having talks with Tuchel about a possible contract for the next season and other staff promoting Southgate as the future coach. The latter didn't accept right now since he has a EURO to play soon, so maybe after that competition, we will have a clearer view about the coach but I agree that Zidane has nothing to do there.

The rumour that he is linked to Manchester United has been circulating since Zidane stated that he has no interest in managing the club but i must admit that if zidane is the most difficult coach to recruit even since last decade. it's caued by he is having very high value. He said this in his last interview to the some media that he was keen to coach united but no concrete offer from manchester united to him. We would not know that if united has not sent him an official offer. Many clubs attempted to sign him as a new coach but were unable to do so. This is why people were also thinking if it's almost impossible for him to coach united
United has been associated to a variety of names although there are no solid names here but im sure ten hag is staying for another season. All of the names are linked to the united but it's preferable if we wait for the outcome of Ten Hag's fate in United to determine which coach that will fill the empty spot if ten hag will be sacked by united next week.
I would name tuchel as a potential candidate.

When there were rumors about Zidane wanting to try to become Man Utd coach, it was a good opportunity for Man Utd but why didn't he do it?
Or maybe it's just a rumor because as you said, Zidane is one of the coaches who finds it difficult to make an offer because Zidane always turns it down from various big clubs and it's very likely that Man Utd has also made an offer but it's been rejected by Zidane, just not the rumor spread.
This is just my prediction because I don't know exactly what is happening now, more precisely, Man Utd's hope is only in Erik Ten Hag.

Yes, maybe Tuchel could be the right candidate to replace Erik Ten Hag even though Tuchel failed in the Bundesliga, but I am sure that Tuchel can make a big difference to Man Utd performance in the coming season.
Everyone knows the reason why we say Tuchel deserves to be a Man Utd candidate because he was successful with Chelsea.

Pep Guradiola has a contract until 2025. This means that Pep only has one year left and I heard rumors that Pep doesn't want to talk about a contract extension. This will make the sports media come up with a lot of rumors. This will also give fans worries. As you said, Pep has been at City since 2016 and has succeeded in making City one of Europe's giants. I think it would make sense if Pep decided to retire. He has already got everything in football and he just needs to directly train potential young players.

With the kind of love Pep Guardiola has for coaching I don't think he would like to retire after his contact with Manchester City elapsed because he will still like to continue and build other teams like the way he did on Manchester City. Actually Pep Guardiola is one of the coach I so much admire do to his level of coaching skills and with the positive impacts he has made on Manchester City there is a good chance that the club will still maintain there good performance if he is no longer with them because all the Manchester City players are very good from defense line to the strikers are very good, but if after the contract of Pep Guardiola finishes and Manchester City hires a coach that has a little coaching skills there is every chance that Manchester City will decline in performance but though there could be a chance that before then Pep Guardiola may decide to extend his contract more on Manchester City.

Yes indeed, if to retire I think it is also not the time for Pep, because Pep still has great ability and energy in his coaching career. After all, it would be more interesting if Pep was looking for a new target, because Pep has succeeded in La Liga with Barcelona, in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and in the Premier League with Manchester City. Thus, accepting an offer to coach a team that plays in Serie A or in Ligue 1, it seems like it would be interesting for Pep to continue his adventure as a manager. But indeed,  if Pep leaves Manchester City then of course, I also believe that Manchester City will experience a significant decline in performance and quality later if Pep really leaves.

I just read about Pep Guardiola in this thread, especially regarding his career with TheCitizen. If I'm not mistaken, there was news that in 2023, Pep plans to return to Barcelona but not to become a coach. He wanted to be president at Camp Nou, whether it's true or not, I don't know and I don't rule out the possibility that this was just a rumor at that time. Talking about Pep Guardiola, this Spanish coach is very ambitious and the type of coach who is not satisfied if his team's performance is mediocre during a match. He also tends to be unique in terms of tactics, strategies and systems that he applies to his team. His tenure at the Etihad stadium only has one season left, meaning Pep can leave or continue his contract with City. If Pep chooses not to continue his contract with City, Pep has dedicated all his energy to City and what he inherited. that means, he has left his legacy for TheCitizen. Well, before he makes any official statement or decision regarding his coaching period. After all, he is still working with his squad for the new season, and it is not impossible that he will return to targeting the mission they achieved in the 2022-23 season, namely treble winners.

I do not consider Thomas Tuchel to be a clear better coach than Erik Ten Hang, why using him to replace Ten Hang. This will only be possible if Manchester United just needed the same level of results that Erik gave but in another dimension. I do not see Thomas Tuchel improving Manchester United, both technically and charisma wise. Thomas didn't have enough influence in Bundesliga and that is Xavi Alonso was able snatch the Bundesliga title from him. Tuchel is not that exceptional coach that fits Manchester United, he is simply as good or as bad as Ten Hang. The reason Ten Hang should be better then him is that Erik Ten Hang will be working based on experience while Tuchel will be working based on experiment.

Don't forget, Thomas Tuchel has a good record when managing Chelsea he was the one who gave Chelsea a Champions League trophy when they beat Manchester City this means that Thomas Tuchel has the ability to compete in the Premier League, it's just that Tuchel is reportedly not interested in returning to the Premier League in the near future and he prefers not to handle any team in the next season. When compared to Zidane, I prefer Tuchel to handle Manchester United.

Several sources say Manchester United is still retaining Ten Hag and they are more focused on looking for defenders in this transfer window, I personally doubt that Ten Hag can make a difference despite having several new players in the squad but we don't know what Manchester United management is planning. or maybe Manchester United is having difficulty finding a replacement so there is no other choice?

The world's greatest managers will want to coach them because they're a premier club. Let's relax, enjoy the game, and see what happens

Guardiola has been with Manchester City for a long time. He managed to transform a mediocre team into a strong team. Whatever the City management wanted from Guardiola, Guardiola tried his best to provide everything. City have won the Premier League title three times in a row. And the team also won the Champions League title. I'm not sure why Guardiola doesn't want to extend his contract with City. City management able to pay big wages. But I think Guardiola might be interested in coaching a national team now. This is why he is not interested in extending his contract with City.

tuchel has reportedly met with the owner of Manchester United and expressed his desire to coach Manchester United next season, but I think it will also be very difficult to realize considering that Manchester United currently still has a contract with Ten Hag.
for example, Man United is not under contract with Ten Hag, still, I am sure that if Tuchel is not the right coach for Man United with the slightly complicated situation that Man United is currently experiencing, Tuchel arrival will definitely make this team even worse.
I have reasons why I doubt Tuchel and is not worthy of being Man United coach because we all know Tuchel previous contribution which destroyed Bayern Munich dominance and also failed to compete in the UCL and there was another bad experience when Munich only finished in the top 3.
Man United management will certainly not agree if Tuchel becomes the coach of the Red Devils, and would prefer to keep Ten Hag.

In Man United current condition, the management will be more careful in making decisions because they are afraid of repeating the same mistakes so that in terms of coaches, Man United still believes in Ten Hag and will not replace him with a new coach as long as he is still under contract with Ten Hag.

If I were to make the decision for Manchester United, I would have said that they should allow Erik Ten Hang for one more season and buy him consistent and quality players. This will be better than replicating what Todd is doing with Chelsea.

If Pep Guardiola is not talking about contract extension, don’t you think he’s going to move to another club rather than retiring from football as a whole. He has done great things in the past since he joined Manchester City and I will say he has done tremendously well and deserved all the praises been showered on him now. Manchester City will not be happy to see him living but sincerely they will never forget what he has done for them. 2025 is just one more season for him with them, I hope he will make it one of the most memorable one amongst them. In looking for a new coach if at all he doesn’t extend his contracts, they should get an experienced one that will not allow the hardwork of Pep Guardiola be thrown into the mud because of lack of putting that 100% hardwork that is deserving and required from any manager.

If Manchester United managements are not willing to sign as many quality players as they can, whoever coach they bring in, will find it as difficult to build Manchester United as many have thought it to be.

As the Premier League currently is, many teams are signing new players and having a new coach to their teams for the tough task ahead to be among the top contestants of the Premier League trophy. It is no longer, this club belongs to the elite clubs, by right they are supposed to be at the top of the League table with the kind of players they have without thinking of signing new players or having a new coach
Quality players are already in Manchester united, the major quality or player problem Manchester united will be having will be in their defense, they have got a weak defense and should see how well to strengthen it, as with their midfield, they need a better strategy and tactical approach as what they have is such they can work with if only the have a strong defense who can give them the confidence in the fact that any mistake can be covered up for.

With me I just see that there are potentials in Manchester united players, they only need , a coach who helps them bring out that  quality in them, ten hag has been less of an encouraging coach but such that always keep them on their toes without the effort to bringing out the best in this players, Manchester united should have their focus now on getting a new Coach who can really get them to do much better than they have been doing .

A good coach can help Manchester united get back in a very good for such that even if they don't get to win the premier league title this season , they, they will be able to have a very decent finish by the end of the season.

Do you think to handle the Manchester United job is one easy task? You can go interview Louis Van Gaal as well as Jose Mourinho so they could tell you what Erik Ten Hag is going through right now.

Zidane is not that guy for Manchester United, I don't know how long I need to sing this for people to read and let it sink inside of them skull. He is no different from Ole Gunner Solskjaer. It's just that he is tested and trusted when you give him a squad with already made players and starts to handle.
T's like being the Captain of a team, you'll definitely know how to motivate your players and teammates so they could win the game. Looking at him tactically, you'll be saying no of you look at his last season with Real Madrid in the La Liga Competition.

He will not be appointed head coach of Manchester United, wherever you see such news, let it ring in your mind that they're all lies. Erik Ten Hag would be better but it seems like these bastards do not have such plans to back him up.
I feel like Zidane will not be the manager part is true, but we are talking about a situation that would have been pretty easy and good in the end. The reality is that Zidane would have been a bad fit and yet still get a better result as well. I think it should be something much more obvious to anyone who has watched United this season, most good managers would have been better than Erik Tan Hag.

The reality is that because United won FA cup, everyone had a different understanding of it, however it is quite terrible to see something like this and should not be all that easy to understand. We should consider the fact that we are going to see something change in the end we should probably consider not to get anything all that crazy at all. Just get what you can get and you will be doing fine.

Alvarez is a star. That youngster scores the instant he steps onto the field. Numbers speak for themselves, and his off-the-bench numbers are outstanding. Haaland, though, is amazing. He scores goals continuously. Nobody can deny that.

Pep, he is the finest, now.  However, should he go, Man City will not face certain disaster. Many other outstanding managers would be lined up to accept that position since they had a team full of winners. The whispers about Saudi Arabia are going around, and their money is appealing, but Pep has made City something special. Man City is not going anywhere, that much is certain. Lets see what happens. Whether or not Pep is around, they will keep winning.
There is no doubt, Álvarez is a good young striker that have good goal scoring ability and a star boy that can fit in so many teams, and his success in the World Cup made him more relevant and that is why Manchester City is not considering legume so soon.

Pepe on the other hand will go anytime soon, and if Pep leaves, many players will follow the lead including Haaland, and if Haaland leave the club, they will be desperately in need of striker which will affect their performance; that is why they are considering given Alvarez more playing time so that he can stay in the team.

Haaland's problem is that he performs poorly in big games and haters have had reason to criticize him for this for two years now. I think at some point he will overcome this problem, overall he is a great striker.

As for City, if everything goes as it should, City will fight for victory in the Championship, 115 violations...  Wink
As for Pep, I think that he will run away to some national team, at the moment I don’t see a project like the old Barcelona/Bayern where he could easily farm titles (he is not needed in Real Madrid).

In as much as Haaland is injury-free every season definitely Julián Álvarez would have a limited playing time, though Guardiola had played the duo in some matches I think it hasn't yielded positive results that is why Alvarez is usually on the bench in most matches though Guardiola had tried to give him game time , from my own point of view if PSG can guarantee him a regular playing time then he should leave because he is expected to play regularly for his club to retain his role on national team (Argentina) striker else another striker might take his position.
Julián Álvarez have the choice to make here, he should either chose between regular playing time and staying on the bench which I am sure he will chose regular playing time because every player wants to play. Looking at it in another point of view, Álvarez might soon be a first choice striker in Manchester if Pep leaves the team because I am sure once Pep leaves, Haaland will definitely leaves as well.
Therefore, I think City are not willing to let Alvarez go so that he can represent Haaland in the future; and likewise if he leavers for PSG and PSG eventually sign Osimhen, he will still face the same problem he do face here.

If you watch some of the matches Julian Alvarez played in Manchester city when Haaland was experiencing some injuries, it really touched the mind of their manager not to be benching him on the time, because Julian Alvarez is a potential player Manchester city will not allow to leave to join other team.  But if Pep Guardiola leave Manchester city, I don't think the strength Manchester city have to withstand other teams will be there again for the players to display, because he build up all those players with his impact which it will be difficult for the players to cope very well with another new manager. There is a potential skills I saw in Pep Guardiola which it will not make him struggle in any team he move to, because he has the talent to build up players to a higher standard to display perfectly well.

If Zidane takes charge of Manchester United, the team will surely become more experienced as he will act as an experienced coach. Not only does he have to be an experienced coach but he has to carry enough responsibility and be hardworking and we think Zidane can certainly take Man United very far if he doesn't have a good move. Manchester United is not a self-reliant team but if they can get a good experienced player in their team and coach they will roar again. Of course he's a great player but at his age he doesn't have much attacking power now, but if we have another player like him at Man United they could be at the top of the points table next season. Anyway I think for next season manchester united manager must add a good coach and players to his team but they can be in a good position.

Honestly, I've actually been fed up with all the rumours about Zidane and the various reasons he was asked to coach a club, of course you remember how he turned down PSG at that time and then he turned down some other teams just because he still wanted to spend time with his family but he reportedly wanted to coach the French national team even though he knew it was still impossible for him to get at the moment, tuchel has reportedly met with the owner of Manchester United and expressed his desire to coach Manchester United next season, but I think it will also be very difficult to realize considering that Manchester United currently still has a contract with Ten Hag.

Southgate, who is currently focusing his attention on the euro, certainly does not want to be bothered by all the issues that exist related to his future, so I think Southgate may not be related to these problems either, at this time of course Tuchel may be a candidate but considering Tuchel poor performance coaching Chelsea and Bayern Munich will of course be another consideration to manchester united still prefer Ten Hag later.
