since english premier league founded the champion always get a successfull to win in the opening match or at least get draw. leicester shocked by losing 1-2 to hull city and it was not a bad start at all .

Manchester city is indeed the favourite to win the league this time. too early to assess the game of pep, let's see up to half of the season. Manchester United also now be favorites to win, I hope today see a good game of Manchester united.

Alot of people was placing their money for this bet and they won through the last minute goals. It was dramatic and pep was saved , imagine how the media will respond to pep's first match if he lose the game and it will make it through the front page at almost any media that cover premier league

And Leicester has beaten by Hull City, they just promotion to pl and already beat the champions.

Atleast they scored even from the penalty but atleast it still counts. I cant wait for manchester united's match today against bournemouth. As most of the game ended with a margin of 1 goal difference, they have a good chance to top the league for atleast a while if they could score 2 goals in the match this evening

at least Manchester City won the game , at 80th minute it was looking like that they will miss it , there were unexpected 3 draws in yesterday'ss match will clearly says that teams are well equipped and we gonna see better championship this time.

Is there a nervous factor in an inaugural match last night ??

Perhaps the defeat Leicester city. coach had to overhaul and develop strategies better to weigh the season yesterday, ..

I was actually quite happy to see this , it seems people got too much hope on pep and ended up dissapointing themselves . Im getting the feeling that pep is actually still trying to find the best possible strategy for the premier league, it is the toughest league in the world afterall and he doesnt have any experience at all

Leicester were always going to crash & burn this season for a variety of reasons. I expect them to finish about 9th.

They are not looking so good now as they did when they started strong and healthy last season.
Maybe they celebrated their win a little bit too much and have not the same determination or focus to see it threw this season now.
Will just have to wait on their later matches to see if this holds true.

Yes Manchester city does not live up to the hype that they have had as of late from their play from last season. They were stellar at the beginning but then their play was lacking when it counted the most nearer to the end of the season when the other teams were fighting for their spots in the table.

this Bournemouth vs Manchester United will be a big test for both sides. Bournemouth are very fresh team. They will fight to the last breath. On the other hand, MU are very strong team. Also, JM will have to make a positive result in the opening of the new season. The truth, the whole world will go on away win. Of course, this can be a tricky match. The main target is to get 3 points Manchester City managed to get the first match a good start for new manager
Man city controls the overall game the defense will be a concern manager

guardiola applied 4-1-4-1 formation and it was a success strategy to win ,
and yes manchester city has 70% ball possession they should score more than 2 goals ,
the last goal for sunderland are really not neccessary ,
